Yeah, talking to the the contact before the team exits prevents those team members from rating the arc. But the number next to the star is the number of ratings. I thought that "how to read past comments on AE arcs" was common knowledge but I can see how it might be less obvious. I might need to make a guide for it. If you go to the My Published Arcs tab, you'll see the arcs you've published. Instead of clicking the Play button, click anywhere else. The arc should expand showing all of the arc's information, like the morality and breakdowns of each mission's objectives. It will also show more buttons under Play. One of these is Comments. Clicking it will show the comments that have been left on an arc. The Comments button has two specific quirks. The first is that comments are saved to a text file. You can read this file even outside the game since it exists on it's own. I still have my comments file from before shutdown. The second is that it seems to mainly save upon login of comments made while you were offline. It seems like comments made from teammates while online often require a copy and paste from chat to a separate text program.

Hey! I don't know how many of you visit the Mission Architect section of the forums but I'm putting a version of the Mission Architect Sunday Special thread here for awareness and any questions people might have. Still trying to figure out the timing and structure for these but it's only the second month. First Everlasting run will be the third Sunday of February on the 16th at 2PM Eastern.

New powerset kernel: All Knockback Control set.
ZamuelNow replied to Steampunkette's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
A number of control sets replace the immob with a sleep. The real problem isn't the lack of other controls since guaranteed KB is useful. Rather, the biggest issue is animation times and server ticks that would make this less fine tuned than it needs to be to function. -
trolling Make Hamidon immune to being made intangible

Similarly, wouldn't someone who records their chat logs also be able to record the combat log? -
I'm tentatively joining the Labyrinth run on the 1st with Ebony Gyro - Elec/Elec Blaster.

So...I think it was pointed out to me as opposed to my discovering it on my own. Go to the sinking oil tanker, fly up, and look down. Had a bit of a 'wow' seeing the Eye of Horus in the oil spill. The instance for the Eden trial and the sheer expanse of the Shadow Shard were awe inspiring. And then, the Abandoned Sewer Trial. I was a nutcase who ran pug Abandon Sewer Trials pre shutdown. There were both failures and successes that were memorable. One of those that stuck with me was a tell I received after a completion: A woman who usually only got to play with her grandkids thanked me since that was her first time on one and she enjoyed the experience. Experiences. Mission Architect, for all its jank, is tailor made for us to give other players experiences. And an experience is something that'll stick with most players regardless of the xp. In that way, I'd say Clave's story about the "not a farm!" Christmas mission recruitment make perfect sense. Most people like to team, hate being team leader, and are willing to do something new if not aggressively hard. I think there's even breathing room for some minor complexity if the players get a heads up. A team with a good vibe will go through a lot. Solo vs Team play seems like a good mindset. Some things that are just good mission design will apply to both but as several of us saw Sunday, things can flow a fair bit different in a group despite playing the arc before. Missions with a forward flow, clear nav bar objectives, and good start/end mission popups sound like good starts but what ideas does everyone else have? Also, I think we need good ideas of what to say in LFG or General to recruit people for a story based AE arc. Homecoming might have a meta with a sizable gravitational pull but we may be able shift it in some situations with just a little MASS...

Issue 27 Page 4 removed Astral and Empyrean Merit to Reward Merit conversion but the description for Astral Merit salvage still says "You have been awarded a reward token for completing Endgame content. Astral Merits can be spent on various Endgame Rewards, or traded for Reward Merits.". With the change, "or traded for Reward Merits" should probably be removed.

So, I play a lot of AE, there's times the Homecoming GMs haven't gotten to me in time due to timers or real life forcing me to log off but they've always been gracious in followup communication. On the retail game that I was paying money for, if a glowie spawned inside a wall the GMs would say that they couldn't help me because it was AE. Even if I don't agree with every HC decision, consider this customer satisfied.

Mission Architect Sunday Special: Story based teaming in AE!
ZamuelNow replied to ZamuelNow's topic in Mission Architect
We just concluded the first Torchbearer edition of the Mission Architect Sunday Special! Everyone had fun and just what exciting arcs were run today? @Zasani's Bricked Electronics (6625). Lowbie tech hijinks! @Metzgermeister's Family Problems (64797). An escalation of crime! With several AE authors in attendance, this event was the start of the Roll Off! Using the /em dice emote, the winner with the highest roll got to choose the second mission of the day. @JiroIto decided to play a newer arc and the author looks promising. And we got another 4 o'clock finish so two arcs looks to be right for time unless the arcs are tiny/huge. We're also smoothing out the kinks in story based teaming. NEXT MONTH... MASS returns to Indomitable for part two of the Heart of Words arc on February 2nd (first Sunday). It will return to Torchbearer on February 9th (second Sunday). On the third Sunday (February 16th), MASS will attempt it's first run on Everlasting. The Mission Architect Sunday Special will be cross server but it may be fairly asymmetrical on where it goes while things get sorted out. -
Gonna try to make this. Bringing Ebony Gyro - Elec/Elec Blaster

Been reading the posts here and...I have thoughts. I'll ponder them some more after tomorrow's MASS because it connects to some of my thoughts on...not sure if 'the Homecoming meta' is the right term. Especially since it's perception of mindset, as opposed to the actual meta. But I guess a preview for whenever I post those thoughts is, the Abandoned Sewer Trial and the oil spill in Oil Spill...

Mission Architect Sunday Special: Story based teaming in AE!
ZamuelNow replied to ZamuelNow's topic in Mission Architect
2PM Eastern. Tried to be after the morning but before some things that start at 4. -
The teams I was running Eden with on Live did Kill Most and it was an experience. Not really worried about speeding it up.
-
I mean, I liked Eden on Live and haven't done it yet on Homecoming. Time would be my issue.

50% xp Same reward rate (if not playing for tickets...) Same multiplier for xp boosts What skews things is just how fast a farm can make people gain xp and rewards in nigh total safety solo. Bugs in xp boosters and servers having higher xp modifiers skews things even harder, though the main issue is the rewards.

Starting a new thread based off of discussion elsewhere. What style of author are you and what arcs do you seek out for play? Personally, I feel I'm theoretically split 50/50 when it comes to wanting to create comedic or serious arcs but a serious project often leads to a longer arc. Oddly, I think I'm more strict on mistakes and structure on my comedic arcs. I lean more What If?/Elseworlds than hard canon or wholly disconnected from canon. I prefer a breadth of ideas and settings than focusing on one thing. I'm also willing to play with mechanics that may not always be wise. As a player, I'm also 50/50 on comedy and seriousness but I'm more cautious on long serious arcs. I prefer arcs be complete and have fully built sequels than be "To Be Continued" serial blocks. Since I didn't start Issue 1 (or Issue 6) and haven't played every arc in the main game, I prefer arcs that connect to canon be written with mild refreshers in their narrative. Praetoria is a turn off. Those stories can be well done but isn't part of the game that interests me.

For analytics, I'm curious: How many supergroups/villain groups were registered? How many AE arcs were created? What were the most and least populous zones?

Either they're teasing you...or they're teasing everyone about the Battalion.

Will they get a server forum? I see they aren't showing up on the Server Status side panel yet. -
