  1. Hmmmm, the majority don’t care if the game is too easy as long as they can hop on a team and play or can easily solo on their own. But this is a side discussion, and not really relevant to those who are looking for more challenge options.

  3. Well no. These new options we are discussing are supposed to be OPTIONAL difficulty settings. If you can do it as part of the difficulty settings for those who want to play the new “OMGBBQHaaardMode” sure. As an overall change to the base game, no. i think both of you are discussing such changes in regards to the first option-aka optional difficulty. Just want to make it clear yet again that the base game should stay as is. Most players don’t care for making the game harder just to make it harder.
  4. Hmmm. At 50 though thanks to incarnate abilities teams have stacking debuffs, so burning down hp/health and regen hasn’t been an issue there. At lower levels you have a point. But then I would not expect low level teams to use any such OPTIONAL difficulty settings. The plan ol +4/x8 and below will still exist. 😝
  5. I was just thinking about Propel when I read the thread title. Good point. I would be down with this as an actual suggestion using the Propel tech!
  6. As long as there is a screening process where HC themselves could block the submission, I have no issue. I don't trust anything having to do with user generated content. Not after the debacle that is AE. And if there are some existing offensive symbols, petition the GMs to have them removed. (I mean in general not specific to this poster).

  14. One thing to maybe check is the level of the person. At 50, wouldn't surprise me if a lot more folks use set IOs. (and have full kitted out set IO builds) At levels 25, 30, 35? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  15. How on earth do you drop support for one of the most used cards in the industry? WTF?
  16. Are those mobs effective at that level? Or are they incredibly easy mobs since they don't have all the necessary attacks? Or are you saying they just added random mobs from other groups to say the Outcasts and re-skinned them? EDIT: NVM, read the other thread. However, I would say we would probably want this done here on HC BEFORE anything else in this thread being discussed is done, in terms of priority. By others may disagree.
  17. Oh it most certainly won't be an easy task. I don't think anything being discussed here (or in other difficulty options suggestions threads) will ever see the light of day until like 2025 or later, based on the amount of "dev" resources this game currently has. And definitely NOT before the talks are down with the copyright/trademark overlords. Good points explaining.
  18. NO. We reeeeeeallly SHOULD NOT give this as an option to design our own flags. Unless that includes only YOU can see the flag, that gets a HUGE /JRANGER from me. For I think obvious reasons based on current events currently going on. (And already mentioned in this thread).
  19. All of the additional things we're discussing would be added into game play ONLY as OPTIONAL difficulty options that team leaders/formers would select. The base game would still be left as is, SO builds versus IO build I think is less relevant when the new difficulty options would be OPTIONAL. If you were talking about tacking them onto the base game, then yeah the variation in IO builds, versus Set IO Builds, versus frankeslotted builds, versus SO builds would have to be brought up MORE strongly.
  20. The bolded would be . . . difficult. Some mobs when scaled would not scale very well at level 50 without significant work on each mob on a group by group basis. The tech could be made, however, you'd first have to do that mob pass. Not a bad suggestion, just don't expect it anytime before 2025.
  21. Plus this would be an optional difficulty settings. And TF formers would mention that when they announce they are forming a team. Just like folks announce badge runs, master of runs, +4/x8 etc. I see no issue as long as these new options are not forced on everyone.

  24. QFT. Some of those arcs were old BACK ON LIVE. Hell Gold Side I've done to death BACK ON LIVE. I recently tried some of the KR to Steel Canyon stuff and it reminded me why I often skip the lower levels now. Ugh.
