Funny enough I could say the same for WoW for the bolded. And WoW players on their forums have said the same. Also again, no to the suggestion. Endurance isn't as a big a problem as this thread is making it out to be. At most I would agree with making SO upgrade cost free after the first time they go red.

So you’re saying they are ALL yelling “you can’t see me” . . . And no one can see them yelling this? 🤣
-
Yeah bugs happen. Bugs that can easily be missed due to the small size of the dev team, and lack of a large pool of tester for closed and open beta. This shouldn’t be a surprise.

I’d be down for a Scythe set, sounds interesting.

I played WoW from launch to latest expansion. (And promptly quit every time I got to max level of said expansion). The game’s build choices are actually terrible as there are really no build choices at all. In that aspect WoW fails for me as compared to this game in terms of complexity. There are only a few paths for each build in WoW for each class as opposed to the multiple we have here. And yes, in fact many times the meta systems they built for their expansions they abandon the next expansion. And that’s mostly because they keep racing for the higher level / raid / gear treadmill. They even did a stat squish a few years back (FF14 did also) so that they could again put the treadmill back in. I don’t care what millions of folks play. I prefer this game and the complexity it has brought to a rather stale genre: mmos in general. As for this game, End management is easy to figure out in this game. I said it was a puzzle, I never said it was a hard puzzle.

It’s an MMORPG first before it’s a superhero game. That’s always been the case.
-
Now THIS I could get behind. A universal pool that anyone can take would ADD to the “end management” puzzle. Good suggestion!

For the record I’ve played just about every expansion of WoW. And I’ve found every version of it inferior to City of Heroes. Getting around the puzzle of end management and primary/secondary set building with the variety that set bonuses, the incarnate system and procs give in this game is 1000% times more interesting than any of the “choices” I’ve played throughout WoW’s life time. So you’re going to have a hard time convincing me (and I bet many other players of this game) that end should be changed in this game by comparing it to that game. WoW is pretty much a game where they practically abandoned every meta system they built nearly every expansion. Again no thanks to the original suggestion.

At least on Dom’s the answer is always Yes. 😝

Summary ito the actual serious parts of this thread: The OP claimed there was a stealth nerf. The devs came in and clarified that there wasn’t. Not sure where the confusion still is.

yeah I tried it with procced out Aura of Madness on beta and it seems pretty good. Devour being a cone I'm kind of getting used to. But yeah I would not be mad if they made it Melee AOE. EDIT: Thanks all for the responses!

Fixing Vengeful Slice on dual blades
golstat2003 replied to WindDemon21's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
One other option to fix DB is to let you start the combo with ANY DB attack. Though not sure the dev team would like this one. 😛 -
I disagree strongly. I like the "game within a game" of getting sets, to work around endurance for sets that have end issues. (And not all do). I and many others find that actually fun. Has nothing to do with being a vet. It's like PVP. Some folks enjoy, A LOT of folks don't. NEW and OLD players. Doesn't mean you get rid of the pvp zones or pvp in the game. I would say though that at this point upgrading SOs after you first slot them should probably have zero cost when you hit the upgrade button on the enhancement screen.

Correcting Rain of Fire's end cost
golstat2003 replied to WindDemon21's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I agreed with one or two suggestions and disagreed with the others. Going forward I'll just openly say why I disagree or agree and move on. And I won't be having a back and forth discussion on it. The devs are big boys and girls who can decide to do something or not. And can defend their decisions easily. EDIT: And this applies to all suggestions going forward not just the OP's to make it clear. -
Patch Notes for June 17th, 2025 - Issue 28, Page 2
golstat2003 replied to The Curator's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
Yeah also I'm sure a Kheld revamp would be something they would want to put through the paces to make it just right before anyone on the dev team even sees it on their own internal servers, let alone Closed Beta. As a Kheld fan I can wait as long as it takes for them to get it all right. 👍 -
Missing some things in patch notes is possible in a software development project as large as this last release was. It’s just an unavoidable part of managing large projects unfortunately. And HC has been good about correcting the record after. I don’t think a missed patch notes from time to time is some cardinal sin that some folks make it out to be. But yes it can be annoying when you’re not sure if a change is intentional or not.

Cut the filler from the Synapse TF (spoilers)
golstat2003 replied to Psi-bolt's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Positron was made into parts one and two years ago no? Not saying they should do that here, but there is precedent for them making TFs not as long. -

I had one one live and DB was underwhelming no matter what AT I played it on. -

Agreed. -
The thing is some of the other servers actually don't like some of the stuff that HC has done. So they would NEVER copy it unfortunatly.
-
No thanks.

Anyone try Psi Armor on Stalkers yet? I was about to go to Beta to try it out but curious what those who have been playing it think?
-
No thanks.

Interestingly this is EXACTLY what the devs said in beta about why certain things were locked behind Aethers. There are certain effects and costumes that they don't want to be common. I disagree with that reasoning, but that argument discussion was had during the closed and open beta for Aether Costume pieces . . . and well we have what we now.

This rotation of it per server is really a good idea. Perhaps also grant folks some extra server transfers during that weekend so folks that want to move to another server during (like from Excelsior to Everlasting for instance) the time that can do so.
