Thank you for your advice. I was planning to get them from the vending machine in the main building in Atlas Park. Is there a difference between those ATOs and ATOs from other sources such as the AH? Also, how do you get Super Packs, besides the AH?

I've never used an ATO before, and since they are expensive, I don't want to mess it up when I buy one. First, I'm willing to listen to any advice that anyone wants to give. I've read that they can first be used at level 10. I've also heard that an Enhancement Catalyst can turn it purple. I assume that this is done using the same method in which Enhancement Converters are used. If turned purple, can it be used at level 10 or is a higher level needed?

I'm surprised that no one mentioned Katana. I've heard that it is awesome. I think that Kat/EA would make a great combo.

I've thought of making a DP/Sonic. I thought that it might be good because it can debuff. I've read some posts saying that it is not good, at least for defenders. Is it good for Corruptors?

In this case AOE stands for Archetype Origin Enhancements, which I believe are the same as ATOs

I believe that ATO and AOE are the same thing. Am I able to buy both Assassin's Mark and Stalker's Guile and should I buy both? Are there any best powers for slotting? The toon is StJ/AE but am considering StJ/SR because it is Natural Origin. If I change my mind about the powers, can I remove them by respec or other methods and transfer them to another toon by email or other method?

I remember it. In the early days of CoH, Storm Kick was a fast sequence of kicks. It looked good, but the animation was too long, so they changed it to what it is now. I doubt that the code is in the game now. It might be on a computer owned by one of the original devs or NCSoft, but I doubt that it is in HC's system. Anyway, as I said, the animation was too long. People often complained about that in the early days.

Thanks. That is an interesting story for Caillou. My toon is StJ/EA Natural Stalker This is her story: The daughter of a magician and a dancer, she learned the arts of magic, illusion, dance and acrobatics. One day, she went backstage and saw her parents with mob goons. She hid as she heard the goons say, "For many years we bought you expensive illusion equipment. We only asked that we use them to smuggle things. Now, you have refused your end of the bargain." Her father replied, "We can no longer do this in good conscience. We promise to pay you back and we won't go to the police. We only ask that you leave us alone." A goon responded, "You can never leave the mob, and there is only one way to guarantee your silence." The goons then shot her parents and left. She ran out of her hiding place and held her parents, only to see them die. She then swore revenge against the mobsters who killed her parents. She sneaked onto a plane and travelled the world, finding trainers of ancient Fighting Styles. She travels as a Magician's Assistant, finding new trainers and helping people as she can.

Thank you both for your replies. I've never heard of Caillou, so I googled it. I only found a Canadian Children's TV show, which had nothing to do with this. The link shown mostly portrays people who already were warriors and seeked revenge. It did mention Inigo Montoya, who was an excellent example of someone who trained in order to get revenge. I am mostly referring to a person who began as a regular person, but who was motivated by parents' death to train to fight and get revenge on evildoers.

A while back, I made a toon whose story was that the parents were killed by the mafia, and then found fighting trainers to later get revenge. Someone told me that this was Batman's story. Recently, someone else told me that this general story is older than Batman. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any similar stories. This can be from movies, novels, comics or anything else.

I had an StJ/SR Stalker and levelled it to 50. It felt weak playing it. It was difficult maintaining end, especially around drainers. I often lost my toggles because of end. Even with Stamina and Phys Perf 3 slotted with end mod, I still lost all my end around drainers. I definitely got hit as well, and definitely used my greens. Some people gave advice for maintaining end, such as end red enh. This helped and I lasted a lot longer, but drainers still hurt. I used SR because the toon had Natural Origin. Out of curiosity, I tried EA and tried to make it as subtle as possible. I thought it was awesome. The protection was good. When my end got low, I used End Drain and when I got hurt, I used Energize. I rarely ran out of end, unless I forgot to pay attention. I made two StJ/EA toons. One had a red costume and had a bright effect with red color, and the other had a black costume with a bright effect and almost black color. Both EAs were visible, but not massively obvious. I conclude from this experience that EA is awesome!

This is an excellent comment. I don't go into super planning for my builds. I just figure it out as I go along. For this reason, a Tanker might be better for me.

Are there any ATs that are especially good for Ice/Ice? Are any of the melee ATs or Blaster better than others?

I've seen many posts about people being upset about Brute nerfs. At first, I thought that it was mostly about attracting aggro. I just saw other posts saying that either Brutes had dmg reduced and/or Tankers got dmg increased. I have a Brute in his 40s. I don't mind re-starting him at level 1, since I enjoy the journey but am trying to decide betweeen Brute and Tanker. I mostly group for TFs and radios. I don't solo much and I don't PVP. He's StJ/WP. He's a homage to the great Al Bundy.

There have been many posts about people wanting costume additions. Since most of those would require a graphics coder, I'm asking people to suggest costume additions that are already in-game, such as on an NPC.

I'm planning to make a MA Tanker. It will be Natural Origin, so I'm primarily thinking of SR or WP, but will listen to other suggestions. I wonder if SR would be overkill because of Storm Kick's def bonus. Maybe WP would be better for this reason. What do you think would be a good Natural MA Secondary?

Why didn't you like Dark/Dark? Was it too melee-ish?

Thanks everyone for your advice. I put End Red IOs in 2 attack powers, and that seems to have fixed the end problem most of the time.

There have been many posts about various new costume additions. I doubt there will be any new costume additions unless they are already in game somewhere, such as on an NPC. -
I think I read that a recent patch caused stealth powers to stack. My StJ/SR Stalker just reached lvl 47 and I'm running out of powers to choose that fit within character conception as a Natural Stalker. I was thinking of taking some Concealment Pool powers that might improve stealth.

You might want to remove the last power you picked, but don't want a full respec. For a fee, you should be able to remove the most recent power pick. It might be that you realize that you made a mistake, but there is another good reason. You might want a Pool Power that fits character conception. An example is a melee character who wants a thrown weapon. You want to see if a power looks right. To my knowledge, you can't see what it looks like until you pick it. With this, you can pick it, then look at it in the costume editor, and remove it if you don't like it.

I was playing an StJ/SR Stalker in the 40s and had trouble with end. Many of the baddies were Arachnos, which might be drainers. Others were Family, which I don't believe were drainers. I had to deactivate Tough and Weave, but still had end problems. I had to slow down attacks to avoid dropping my def toggles. I had Stamina 3 and Physical Perfection 3 slotted with End Mod SOs. I didn't have any End Red. I often wonder if a different Secondary might have been better. The toon is Natural Origin, so I want to stay within theme.
