  1. In the early days, there was a mission that awarded a badge. To get this mission, you had to do a specific mission chain. Some people would miss this chain, and then offer 900K Infl for that mission. I would make a new toon, do that mission chain, and then wait for someone to make a chat announcement that he was offering infl for that mission. Then - Profit!
  2. As we know, this game is based on superheroes and superheroes barely age. To give a few examples: Batman first appeared in 1939. If we assume that he was 19, then he would be 103 now. Spiderman first appeared in 1962. If we assume that he was 12, then he would be 73 now. I think the best example is Franklin Richards who was born in 1968. I believe that he is still a child. The point is that we shouldn't care whether or not game characters age.

    It appears that Weave also protects All, so it should also be good for plugging the Toxic/Psi hole in EA.

    Does anyone slot Hide? I've never slotted Hide, but I was thinking that some sets have holes, such as EA's Psi and Toxic hole. Since Hide protects all, I was thinking that it might be useful, even though the bonus is very small.

  8. A while back I suggested that Blaster's MC should have Fist options like MA. Unfortunately, no one seemed to like it or respond, so it just went down deep into the pile. That would have been perfect for this toon.
  9. I've always used 3 slots in Health and Stamina because I've heard that more than 3 enhancements give diminishing returns. I recently saw someone say that they should be 6 slotted. Most of my toons are either Stalker, Scrapper, Tanker and Blaster. Most don't have self heals or End regain. How should I slot them and which enhancements are best?

  12. I'm making a DP/Temp Blaster. In the past, I've skipped Temp melee powers and powers that stun but don't dmg. I've read that I shouldn't skip the melee. What is skippable and what is good?
  13. Obviously, he would have Dual Pistols, but I'm not sure what to have for the secondary. I'm thinking of MC or Temp Blaster. I don't think that he should be a Sent because Harry was about to shoot at long range. I don't know if a Corr would be good or not. What do you think would be a good secondary or good pool powers?
  14. I noticed that several mentioned Nature. Two mentioned /Sonic as the secondary. Is /Sonic the best secondary?
  15. I plan to make an StJ/SR Stalker. Someone suggested that I take the Medicine Pool for self healing. To fully take it, I would need 3 slots. I have 2 empty slots, but I would have to eliminate something useful for the 3rd slot. I'm thinking of removing Hasten since SR already quickens recharge. I've looked at other builds, and none used the Medicine Pool. This makes me wonder if it is really that great.

  17. Sometimes you realize that you made a mistake, but don't need a full respec. For a fee in inf, RM or something else, you should be able to remove a power or slot.
  18. Thank you for this research. One thing that surprises me is that someone once told me that the best blasters are Fire, Ice and Water. Fire and Ice are at the top, but Water is near the bottom.

    My stalker is a new Lvl 50, and I'm trying to choose an Alpha. The toon is an StJ/SR Stalker. My main choices are Agility and Musculature. I mostly think of Musc because the extra dmg would be good, and Stalkers are primarily damage dealers. The problem is that some abilities such as Immob, would be wasted. I also think that Agil would be good, and I don't think that any abilities would be wasted, but it wouldn't be increased dmg. The extra rech would help dmg somewhat.
  21. I've had many times when I've joined a group with a Kin or NA and found one or more other people with the same power set. Is this a waste, or do they stack?
  22. I rarely see posts about Elec/Elec. Do they have good synergy? Is this pairing better on Brute, Tanker or something else?
  23. I just made a comparison using the test server. I made level 50 StJ SR and EA, with no enhancements. The EA had a Def of 16% in most areas except Psy and Toxic, while the SR had 19% across all. The EA also had 7.5% Res in many areas, while the SR had 0%. I'm guessing that EA's self heal will help make up for the Tox and Psy hole. I also dislike EA's appearance for a Natural, but it is not as bad as many other armors.
  24. Are there any ablities that have an acrobatic appearance, such as doing flips? To my knowledge, Ninja Run is the only ability that can do this.
  25. I like this idea. I often see people who are MA/Bio. They are Natural Origin and have Minimal FX. I still see all kinds of energy coming out of their body. I'm sure that they chose Bio because it is one of the best secondaries, but hate the FX. Unfortunately, games often try to adjust this by giving love or nerfs. I think that giving an invisible option for secondary powers can help this without nerfs.
