  1. Here goes...........demon/storm is a great set because you have demons.........and storms together for pure chaos. In all seriousness demon/storm MM's are all about damage. As for the best build this or best build that, this is open to interpretation and opinion. Great and terrible MM's are also very opinion based.....while the general consensus that mercs are the worst doesn't mean anything as in certain MM's hands they are a thing to behold with the same thing regarding one of the stronger pet sets being played by someone unfamilliar with them and just playing a posted build not having the same outcome as the creator of said build. Storm provides excellent damage thanks to lightning storm and tornado along with solid debuff thanks to freezing rain. Steamy mist gives the MM some defense and can aid with stealth if paired with either a stealth proc or super speed. While I find the heal(O2) not worth taking it can be effective if taken and slotted. Hurrican is a niche pick.....some like it while others don't but can be fun..........hurricane herding for the win. Best advice I can give it look over some builds to get an idea then build what you think you may enjoy and play it........then the more you play it the more you'll tweak it to your style and make it your own

So after looking at your build a few things sttod out.......first was your defense ratings were insane, as a scrapperlocked infused MM I'm very impressed........second is similar to the first resist capped and to S/l, again impressed......thirdly is the endurance issues you will be facing is gonna make you cry......trust me there I also run a demon/storm MM.. My main is a demon/dark and I'm currently leveling up a 2nd one up with a different build that incorporates sorcery pool......I like the look of RoP. On to the feedback........Stealth can be easily achieved with shadowfall and the stealth IO in sprint so no need if SS, unless you just like the power. Love me some holding powers and pet gaze is one of my faves....great for locking down annoying enemies......looking at you Dark Ring Mistresses and Master Illusionists with either 4 slots of Baslisk Gaze for the recharge bonus, 5 slots of the purples for the recharge bonus or 6 slots of lockdown for the defense bonus., hell even as a proc attack. Fearsome stare I loce with cloud sense set as I like to turn it into a mini proc attack, 6 slotted with the set for recharge bonus and the ranged defense. Howling twilight, this is your opening move as it will stun the entire mob so slot it with the annihilation -res proc and watch the mob melt away thanks to your demons and if you have an extra slot put in another proc like bombardment chance for fire damage. Twilight Grasp, spam it not only is the heal good but it's debuff is nice also with multiple ways to take advantage of it.......theft of essence set with the proc for a chance of endurance, touch of the nictu set with the damage proc or my personal favorite cloud sense 6 slotted cause I love those bonuses. Master mind attacks are a choice, some take them and others don,t.........I love them but then again I play my MM's like scrappers so I'm a bit crazy. There's not any one way to build a good and solid MM as the best thing about the AT is everything we can do that other builds can't.......we got a freaking army. Build it....test it and enjoy it......or build it and rebuild it until it suits you as most of my MM's have been built and rebuilt over and over again.   3. As I recall seeker drones don't benefit from procs all that well as the reason they get skipped. Triage isn't really needed from my perspective as your PA's and traps will be doing most of the work with you being invisible and with the force field drone keeping you safe. Time bomb I didn't take on my ill/traps, couldn't tell you why other than my guess was the recharge turned me off, I preferred laying multiple trip mines and poison traps followed by fold space to pull mobs and wipe things out really quick. From all the builds I've seen most come down to some personal choices and style. It's a fun combo and can do some very fun things but as with most things it's limited to the amount of time it takes to set your toys up versus the team already wiping out the baddies........still fun as hell though.   4. Here's my main.....she's a blast to play and this is her current build with capped s/l resists as well as soft capped s/l/m/r defenses......she be tanky. Ignore some of the power selection levels as they're not correct, was building and doing the respec at the same time........not a bright move mind you but somehow it worked and I got this monster. Most of the powers were picked near their available levels with fighting pushed towards the back end.   5. As I've been looking over builds and watching wonderful videos of dominators in action, I've started to rework my builds to see what i could come up with. It started with my dark/dark dom and thanks to @Voltak I had an idea to make him better but I thought what about my others...........and I looked at my mind/dark dom who's based off the council vamps, Initially I had went with ice mastery for some AoE and the defensive armor but the more I thought about it soul made better sense with the armor and soul drain, so I began to tweak here and there to see what I could make. Then in a moment of clarity🙄(lack of sleep or too many meds from my recent surgery) I hade an idea🤔.........a no hasten dominator😲, I blame the wife for this happening as she's making me take the meds. I have achieved perma hasten and s/l defense capped without the aid of stealth with range able to hit the defense cap with a small purple........and even though I had to keep ice mastery and lose out on my beloved soul drain, I think it was worth it.........but what do I know😁 This Villain build was built using Mids Reborn 3.2.17 https://github.com/LoadedCamel/MidsReborn Click this DataLink to open the build! Yep, necro/dark is very nasty as I have 1 at 50, also necro/cold is very nice also..........still undecided but thinking of pairing bots/ff, demon/pain and then necro/?....dark is probably the leading candidate for the pairing unless I can come up with something that fits for a theme....maybe cold, time or nature

So I'm starting a new dominator and finally decided to make a plant dom as I've been pushing plant down the line until I could come up with the concept I wanted and I'm wondering what powers are the must haves as I've never used plant before. I know I've heard seeds are awesome and the creepers are proc monsters but beside those 2 I'm unsure.......do I need or want the group immob or the group hold and what about spore burst? Spirit tree won't be really needed as I'm using dark assault so I have a heal available to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

At first I settled on 3 bots but then I thought about it and decided to go with 3 different primaries just to see them all in action and see how they work together with the primaries being demon, bot and necro with secondaries still TBD. The purpose is just to run some content in game.....not farming or anything too strenuous, just standard missions and contact story arcs.
  13. Rolled this combo as a tank but seriously considered making him a brute. Just hit 50 on him and the ride was awesome, so much fun and was able to set my difficulty to 2/8 rather early even without being fully slotted or optimized yet and I soloed him the whole way
  14. Here's my build for dm/bio, very fun and pretty survivable. I usually stay in offensive mode and can't remember the last time I went to defensive or efficient on him. I utilize all the heals and endurance powers the build has to offer because......why not. Build is pretty straight forward as I'm building for softcapped s/l for no other reason than I just seem to build most of my toons that way with the heals and end recharging powers a very nice benefit of the set, while not at perma hasten I find that it's fine without it being perma with the current build.   15. If you're looking for defense then cold would be a way to go.....however consider demon/dark as an alternative that is very powerful with all the goodies it offers

Demon/storm MM was the first toon I created on HC when I logged in the first time and my first 50......such a fun and powerful combo, paired with a demon/cold could be a fun ride with cold's shields, heatloss for endurance and sleet. Demon/time is nice and very strong but the damage brought by storms and the shield and debuffs from cold could be insane
  17. I'm about to set up a 3 man MM team and was wondering what the best combos would be. I initially tried this with 3 demon MM's with cold, thermal and sonic secondaries to mixed success but was fun enough to try again. This time I was thinking of pairing demon, necro and bot together but unsure what secondary sets to choose, I'm leaning towards necro/cold and bots/ff with demon still undecided but thought I would post this and see what kinda responses I get to help me in my madness of deciding which way to go with this crazy endeavor.......thanks in advance

  19. Love savage on a dom, I went dark/savage as my first dom and played it like a scrapper....strangely worked. Plant is awesome and can pair with anything but the main pairings seems to be fire or psy.
  20. I started playing doms when I saw a video of a mind/energy dom taking down AV's solo and thought it was the coolest thing ever back on live.....so I made one. Even though I made it to 50 on live it didn't really connect for me until HC came around I started seeing more combo possibilities and themes I could build and from there it became one of my favorite AT's, especially after seeing all the awesome videos being posted of ITF and other AV takedowns being done to really make me appreciate what doms have to offer . Dark/savage is my favorite pairing for dom followed by my mind/dark(council vamp) with other builds thrown in dark/earth(hits like a freight train), dark/dark(nasty), dark/psy, fire/earth. I'll eventually make a fire and dark pairing but just started a new dark/martial and liking the potential it has.

  23. I think you'll find this combo very fun and quite powerful. I went rad/dark on a brute and it is one of the strongest pairings I've ever played. Main issue you'll face is end management so be prepared, slot the heal uniques into health(ones that aid in recovery and regen) and put the theft of essence proc into dark regen so it will help fill your end bar when it triggers. Put 6 damage procs in irradiated ground as it really helps wipe out mobs quickly especially paired with death shroud.
