  1. @Frosticus...thanks. I've leveled up a dark/dark and dark/storm to 50 and I'm currently working a dark/time up with my goal being to see what a proc'd out dark/cold can do, I love proc'n dark control for some added fun,
  2. So I'm thinking of making a new troller.......leaning towards dark/cold and was wondering if anyone ahs any thoughts on that pairing for Crazy Controller fun.. While haunts aren't as strong as PA I think they may bring some fun to the table

  4. @Frosticus...thanks for the reply. After dusting him off and running through parts of Maria arc I've come to realize how truly special the build is. I'm sitting at ranged soft capped as well as s/l soft cap and enough recharge to perma PA and hasten with heat loss off by 5 seconds from perma. I'm usually all about the dark but in this case I actually believe my ill/cold may be better than my ill/dark builds......thanks sharing and letting those of us know about this epic combo

Truly very impressive, I remember an earlier post you made regarding the greatness of the ill/cold troller with all the things it could do and it made me make one immediately, if I remember correctly it was ill/cold/ice. That build was really fun but has been sitting idle for a bit....what upgrades would you recommend to breath some life back into him? Thanks
  6. with bonfire I'd suggest putting in a knockback to knockdown IO to keep them on their backsides instead of pushing them back and causing pets to go chasing.
  7. Ill/dark with perma PA, perma hasten, perma soul absorption, perma fade and ranged defense at the cap is a wonderful thing to behold.......and if I recall s/l resist at the cap as well. So many goodies and so little enemies to abuse with them

  10. I'll throw out my current necro experiment....necro/thermal because who doesn't like to see burning zombies. I leveled up a necro/cold and it was fun, kinda sturdyish but lack of healing hurts the pets. Then I decided to try and level up a thermal build and while low level it seems to be interesting with my plan to turn the grave knights and lich into mini proc monsters to take advantage of some of their attacks. With 2 shields, 2 heals and some buffs from thermal it should do some really wonderful things for your pets and keep them upright through most mobs.

Unfortunately scrappers don't have a taunt aura, while they do have damage auras the fact is enemies tend to run from us, if you want the taunt aspect then try brutes which can be made very sturdy and do some really fun things as well. If you're looking for something with DDR I'd say shield or SR but if you want something different that can do a multitude of wonderful things I'd say dark armor or bio armor paired with dark melee........2 of my current favorite scrapper builds currently followed by a crazy dm/regen soft capped build I have.......but that's for people who are glutttons for punishment.
  12. You can't go wrong with either. My demon/dark is probably my favorite toon to play, she is capable of doing some really insane things and is nearly T4'd across the board with just Judgement left to complete. I am currently leveling a demon/time up and they're sitting at 30 and it's a really good combination......seems better than my dark MM at this early stage with all slows that work well with the demon's slows.

The problem I'm running into is that it's a very tight build and I can only fit one and slot one of the powers is, so it's either ToF or it's shadow maul unless I make major changes to the planned build.......softcapping my dm/bio scrapper.   15. Back to the scrapper gurus for a quick question about ToF.......is it worth it now? I'm planning a respec of another dark melee toon and was thinking of adding it in place of shadow maul, any thoughts to how it works with the latest updates....thanks for any advice
  16. @Fomsie, I actually implemented a few of the changes you suggested prior to seeing your post on my latest build but unfortunately there's no way to fit afterburner in with my current build. I did add moonbeam and put the apoc set there with the proc in place and with the current build MoG is kinda an after thought but there just in case stuff gets crazy. I never really looked at all the set bonuses for the Panacea set so that could be my next option to get it a bit better.......thanks for the feedback it's very much appreciated
  17. @BrandX, true but I went with dark blast for a quick attack as I always hated the snipe delay and even with the quick shot changes to it.......I still prefer dark blast.
  18. This modified build has given up the recharge in order to soft cap s/l/melee defenses with only losing a few ticks maybe 5-10 seconds from perma on soul drain and hasten.   20. Thanks @Doomguide2005 and @BrandX for the advice....I'll tweak the build with the suggestions and see how it plays.
  21. Macros and binds will be your best friend when it comes to a MM......there's a few posts where macros and binds are discussed with the Sandolphan's guide being particularly useful. With them getting slaughtered, lay down tar patch and darkest night to debuff the enemies and that will help keep your pets alive and as well as a well timed howling twilight(rez) to stun the mobs prior to them engaging. Demons are a mix of range and melee with them starting with ranged attacks before charging in to the fray.....keeping them in a defensive stance may help a bit but in the end demons are gonna do what demons gonna do

I have a savage/regen toon sitting at 50 that I've been playing around in Mids with, currently he's a high recharge build to get IH, DP and recon up as much as possible but I recently came up with a build that has less recharge but is soft capped to s/l. My question is.....would I need as much recharge with me being at the cap or would the extra defense making it a not needed.   23. Here's what I've done on my demon/dark.........with endurance issues only coming into play only after I do my initial setup but it's also easily fixed with Ageless. I built for ranged soft cap with s/l defense at 32 and resist cap for s/l. Decent recharge without hasten and while my attacks don't look optimal they do surprisingly well. I usually run +2/x8 with little to no issues and rarely lose pets or me for that matter. She's been very fun and has taken over as my favorite to play and has soloed a few GM's out there with AV's next to be tested.   24. I've been slowly leveling up my mind/dark dom and have him modelled after the council vampyres. I like to put the mob to sleep the focus on the boss with my ST hold and attacks, when boss drops I hit my lil poo ric nuke and then sleep them again following the same tactic......very fun
  25. @Force Redux....I keep forgetting about the alt build idea. Thanks for reminding me. Went hybrid support for the added pet damage, may switch that though as my playstyle has evolved into a scrappermind over the course of discovery on my demon mm. Thanks again for the ideas
