  1. I have never been a huge Mace fan - one of my go to tankers is sd-stj. You really cant go wrong with either one though.
  2. What is this word.... "Nearly".... not in language database.
  3. I feel like I was around when the Dead Sea got sick. Until I switched careers recently - now im like the old lady Bones slipped the future kidney pill to in star trek IV.
  4. Sometimes the fun and the experience isn't always about dps - For theme though that's a cool idea, but the last time I checked it would proc off multiple enemies - I vaguely remember a chance to heal working well in it also. Basically do what makes you happy and be your own hero @Generator
  5. I have a few top notch controllers that actually contribute as well as any other AT in max level decked out content worthy of a decked out team. They lock the content down and neutralizes any threat while contributing dmg - would the team be ok without them - sure would but that can be said of any AT at that level - but they still contribute well and i usually get a few "awesome holds" during the course of the runs. I wouldn't bring them out for radio missions, but there is content for them to be useful. I don't bring them out for radio missions - I don't remember the last time I've played a radio missions actually.
  6. Yet you can't back that up without cherry picking your testbed biased towards your goals. Every time its a neutral test your claim is blown out of the water.
  7. You arent entirely correct with the AOE analysis, sustained aoe you are, but if you think and operate an elec shield as a 20-30 second multiple mini nuke delivery - its very impressive. Build up + Lightning Rod + Shield Charge + Thunderstrike + Chain Induction the just about any spawn ive been up against is not standing anymore. Its even better if you add assault radial and musculature to the mix. Granted its not a dps monster, but when you are wiping spawns every 20-30 sec it doesn't really matter. Its a burst AOE dmg monster thats very fun to go unhinged with.
  8. Thanks and Yep this is my final act so I have to get it right from the get go. I have learned an incredible amount this last month and its really going well. I will be back here soon ;-)
  9. 1 month into switching careers. lol haven't been around much getting settled into the new me. But yes Invul/EM4EVAH
  10. Well.... Dang that's awesome.
  11. Character concept. Sam Axe.
  12. Thats usually the case. lol
  13. Neither do you because you haven't provided concrete data on what scenario a tankers survivability outweighs the brutes dmg advantage by what percentage under what circumstance.
  14. You can't have one without the other - brutes are close to tanker survivability under any normal circumstance and tankers are close to brutes dmg under any normal circumstance. Insert bosses and higher and the brutes dmg output in terms of kill speed starts to leave the tankers dmg output behind. While still surviving as well as a tankers Start getting stupid hard stuff - sure a tanker will likely fair a bit better, but again if you had a team which a scenario like that would dictate the brute would be more secure while still drastically eclipsing the tankers dmg output. A no death werner rules itf isnt a metric that shows anything aside from individual skill and more determination than most people who play the game possess.
  15. But a werner rules ITF or similar scenario throws teaming out the windows - anything that could kill a brute isn't really meant for soloing - because the fact remains the brute would still outgun the tanker even if it died. Just because the tanker under unreasonable scenarios can take hours to accomplish something the brute cant without dying doesnt negate the fact the brute will still out dmg the tanker and that's isnt imbalance.
  16. Even if there were content that could kill the brute - it would still have a role to play as off tank outputting vastly more dmg in a team situation while the tanker survives it and keeps the attention. If anything if we ever got content like that it would further define the roles each can play.
  17. Brutal mission simulator - just because neither dies doesn't mean the test is invalidated. My brutes were more stressed but pulled through - but did out dmg the tankers by 25% So if there were a challenge in the game that tankers could out survive the brute I would call it fair because we have that simulator of extreme gameplay that proves the brute outdoes the tankers dmg - there could be potentially a point where a tanker could outsurvive the brute - but it would never out dmg the brute - and that's a fact. But that doesn't mean the tankers is out of balance - but working as intended.
  18. What are we talking about again here?
  19. The games normal gameplay doesn't really put anything worth its salt at risk - and I believe from survival testing in ITF scenarios that all my brutes could do it - but I can't get past the time investment. I don't think I have any tankers that could do it honestly but I build them stronger than is needed with the hopes of one day facing the battalion.
  20. Bill kinda reminds me of a Satanic version of Al Bundy - and I mean that as a compliment.
  21. That was completely honest, I get why its done and what it means - but I don't want to spend the time to do it myself. There are easier ways to gauge that survivability level and I don't feel the need the prestige from doing it, but that's just me - to each their own.
  22. You go to polk high? Never felt the need to do it on anything actually.
  23. If you build either tanker or brute that can die in any of homecomings content then you are missing the boat.
