All I know is that 55 sec is solidly good and so is 71 for that matter - and no I dont think pylons should be the end all be all, but for ST its a good benchmark especially when we can measure how EM improved across all ATs that had it before and after. Scrapper EM we don't have a prior benchmark, but I can attest to it not being as good as stalker EM on a Pylon but being better than stalker EM in mission saturation. MM is mastermind, I thought I read somewhere a demon MM hit the pylon record - I could be wrong.
  4. Wait a sec, 55 sec is what I saw someone hit on EM the other day, and I have personally hit 71 sec with agility slotted instead of musculature and the body mastery pool. Are there many times outside of a MM that are better than those.?
  5. Most Will be "arrested" before it will matter about a long duration stun anyway. I have been "arresting" the ka ka out of bad guys testing this. Heh heh
  6. Tanker and brute can't have 2 stacks of focus. I'm not sure if TF refreshes an already present stack of focus, I dont think it will. ET recharges so fast though you have a good 3 chances to consume focus with ET.

Thats not what the argument is here though, the problem arises when you get a double crit on TF and then BS is in the way, its trying to be optimal outside the current balance of the set, thats why you would use EP there in BS place. Its not that BS is a crap power or that its focus mechanic is crap - its just outweighed by fast ET. But sometimes you cant have your cake and eat it too. If this changed ill roll with it because its so easy to roll EP into an attack chain and it be effective and good.
  10. i know you are going to your dying breath that this is a combo, but it's not and you know it. Its literally just a power activation to unlock other features that is the mechanic. You still use the powers now on crapper EM, this just allows them to have other features that youndont have to use in any specific order. We All get that you dont like it and its not what you want but at least be honest with yourself in how you portray this.
  11. We keep calling it a combo mechanic, And comparing it to STJ and DB Its nothing like that. You don't have to use a sequence of builders 3 times to reach max potential. You dont have to use any one of 4sequences of powers to give any 1 of 4 different bonuses. You literally just activate 1 really good power - that you would anyway and the. Choose between 3 other really good powers - the most obvious being the one shot single fist of death cannon. Then you keep doing that. Its hardly complex, and even if you didnt have the mechanic you would still have both in your attack chain because they are good powers to use.
  12. You conveniently left out a lot to try to sandbag your point. 1. Ep, Wh, ET, and TF. ALL got buffed EP and WH got dmg TF got its animation time significantly reduced - so you keep saying you have to use it but in reality there is no reason not to. Slow ET got buffed also - base recharge lowered and it cost no endurance. It actually doesnt suck to use slow ET situationally - however If You use TF - which again, there is no reason under the 7 hells not to you get granted focus which gives you fast ET which is then probably the best attack in the game. Technically its not full time, but if you play it shrewdly it can be. Even if you take focus out of the equation EM is wildly improved and could even rival pre nerf EM with the above listed buffs. Add focus into the equation - which is as simple as using the second best power in the set - arguably the first now- it leaves pre nerf EM in the dust while still allowing it to feel exactly the same way it did pre nerf only better. Its hardly a devastatingly hard combo when all you have to do is switch to TF to ET vs ET to TF - wheres Mickey Goldmill when ya need him?

  14. I get what you are saying but what you are describing is a situation created by being good, and wanting to be optimal. Thats not a bad thing, if what you were describing was an issue it would be an issue on tankers and brutes also - but its a three choice system ET BS or PC. It becomes an issue when you crit TF regularly - which is an elite problem to have - at that point you either modify your attack chain to accomodate your playstyle or you don't. I wouldnt want to lose the dmg capability of the rest of the set to make optimized BS fit because at that point it would be better to use EP instead of BS in rotation just for a feels test. My chain is this for Scrappers WH - TF - FET - EP - FET - EP - WH It's very potent in mission clearing.
  15. Its not a crutch, its your choice, if you use it, use it wisely but you are the one with the keystrokes. There are ways to use it without it messing you up.
  16. I dunno, my stalker doesn't mind EP. Its a good option, just not an option you prefer. If you are talking about a scrapper, it wont rival the stalkers ST capability nor should it. I dont expect you to be happy with this, but I built my scrapper around WH as an opener in a group saturation to gain almost a guaranteed TF crit. But if you are looking for the best ST EM look thats the stalker - as it should be.
  17. Thats why EP exists. You do realize if BS was any more or had a different option it would teter towards being unbalanced. Like I just said, you have to make the decision how you want to be optimal.

  22. yeah if focus leveragers were added i would want to restrict it to tanker or brute only, because honestly scrapper and stalker are finely tuned IMO, if it were added to tanker and brute it would make most sense to put it on the T1 since tankers have to take the T1. But the argument could also be made - they are tankers and brutes they dont need the extra focus anyway cause they are more meatshieldy. Im on the fence on it honestly. But Scrapper and Stalker i think need to be left alone because they are a work of art at the moment.
  23. you are missing the point of EM if you want it to have more AOE and less ST. I get what you are saying though, but you have to live or die by the ST with EM and thats how its been even in its golden age pre nerf - which i think we are about to have another golden age with this update.
