But on that same token if thats what they prefer to do, who am I to say thats wrong? But also its not just my group, we are coalitioned with 4 other groups that seek the challenge. We farm also, but thats only to level something we want to get up quickly to kick emperor cole right in the nutsack again. -

No, see I really don't think the majority sees it that way. Night ward is awesome, and I rarely run easy stuff, my teammates know when they sign on with me something terrifying and amazing is probably going to ensue.... lol The people I see are more interested in the adventure and the experience than the rewards. -

Ok so to be more specific, any combo can solo +4/8 normal content when decked out. That's working as intended. You can't solo a magisterium or cathedrial of pain. You could solo dark Astoria, maybe - MOT and the final missions can get dicey. But the fact it can be done solo I don't think is the norm just more of a carnival trick, because all of that is a ton more fun on a huge team with heroes and powers flying all about. We just need more of it, but not on homecomings limited budget and staff. Im content to continue rehashing it with teams of different characters because each one is a totally different look and feel. -

They were never serious about selling it, come on now, even steam was interested and got shot down. -

There isn't a set out there that cant solo +4/8. Its not a balance issue the game is rightfully so easy when setted out and fully incarnate, we just need more content like dark Astoria and tin mage/apex. Apex is the kinda strategy I think we are looking for not just arbitrary desk smashing difficulty. -

No, that absolutely is not the case, it wad making a small profit actually. They pulled the plug to try to corral more of a player base into some new game they had coming out. -

Because "looking for Rad for task Force" while the 7 others waited for an hour knowing it couldnt be done without a rad was insurmountable fun at the time. Or overlooking 50+ requests to join said team while you turned them all down because you were looking for a Rad is an extremely hospitable environment. Or "hey Sg member I need you to stop what you are enjoying and build a Rad for us." Or "dang I need to go ahead and build a Rad so we can do this", even though the team has long since disbanded. No thanks. don't want that system back. The inclusivity has made homecoming a better community than live ever was IMO. -
Interesting story, lovely country being the Netherlands, my mom lived there for about 5 years. Stroupwaffles and cherry liquor candies are simply to die for. Anyway I tarried the point too long, which is this, a bridge was named for my scrappers back on live in Rotterdam, but they had to tear it down because nobody crosses my scrapper and lives. Jane Temblor in the Sutter TF is the only one I've seen KB my shield and invul and even that's not 100% every time.
-
It's expensive to make unkillable, but then again everything is. Shield is one of the best for cheap with common iOS or even Sos. However if you could raise around 300-400 mil you could have a near top shelf budget IO Set build that would still be pretty darn unkillable.
-
Not sure, but I've experienced this on Elec Armor as well. So I just hover low to the ground, it cuts you a flip but doesn't KB.

And that, ladies and gentlemen is my nightly experience playing COH. First time I teamed with Tahliah was in Dark Astoria the first incarnate arc with my tank Captain Infinitum, we ran it +4/8 and it was challenging, fun, but still we made it out as the victors. Agree with what you said 100% Tahliah. If anything we need new content to stretch our legs as incarnates in unique ways. But again the dev team works for free and that's an undertaking developing new content, I'm just glad the game is back - and will enjoy it as it is regardless. -
My pleasure, there will never be anything I enjoy more on here than tankers - and helping people with them, so if you ever need anything just give me a shout.
-
This build has served me well and is one of the most unkillable, while still damaging - nearing brute levels even before the tanker changes. I run a mission loadout specific incarnate setup also with multiple incarnate abilities in alpha and hybrid as depicted by the assault stance for more damage. I leveled up the first 5 on HC to 50 the old fashioned way. Since then ive been AE leveling IOing out and replaying early content on harder levels as an incarnate. So ive literally only spent around 30 seconds on lvl 17 on the last 10 toons ive rolled up. From that I'm wondering also why lvl because its such a brief time spent there usually even if leveling the old fashioned way.

There is a setting that doesnt allow you to pick IOs - it's called choice. You can turn off XP after 50 and won't become incarnate. As for having the battle of your lives? That still happens even with incarnates. Ever done the Magisterium? Minds of mayhem? Even dilemma diabolique? Those have all gone sideways and become a fire drill for teams I've been on and led. I'm not naive enough to think this solves your issues with the game, but it is the truth, and it is a potential solution. As to getting other people to play that way, if nobody wants to that's really not their fault. That's their choice. -

Just because you want a grind doesn't make you better than me, or amy more old school than me when it comes to this game. Fact is we have just as much right to not like your opinion as you do ours. You post them in a public forum with incendiary hyperbole and you get shocked when there is push back? Come on now. -
I just adapted my Shield/SJ by switching SJ and War Mace out. The shield part is proven time and time again ultra durable, War Mace i dont have experience with but you can swap powers around and as long as you retain the sets in the powers you swap it shouldnt affect durability. Thats how i do it, on my Shield/SJ Invul/SS FIre/Fire tanks and also my Rad/Elec Psi/Elec Rad/Rad brutes. I just sit there and spam my T1 attack, i never have any issues. In fact when i was on a LGTF the other day and saw the keep away tactic i panicked because it looked kinda reckless expecially when the tanks health dropped below half lol

The Tanker changes feel great and in practice are noticeably better in terms of damage and agro response.

thats not because the game is too easy. Two facts that are concrete, this game is resurrected, and its not for everyone and isnt likely to have sweeping overhauls - that would be CoH 2 and also the game started over the summer months, when this game was live most of us were in our early to late 20s some in the 30s. Do know what has happened to us over 12 years of removal from the game? Kids - in my case multiple kids, jobs, life. Secondly do you know what the difference between summer months and the rest of the year is for people like us? School, family, activities. And thats one of the main reasons im totally against nerfing X to make y harder because i dont have time to grind honestly. I like being able to rush and stomp missions - im not talking council radio missions either, but hard content. Its still challenging and it still takes teamwork. We are substantially busy during school times vs the summer. And i know for a fact thats part of the reason for the population decline. Granted some people will lose interest because it is afterall 12 years removed and there are shiny new cars out, but those arent for me. This game is my schtick, and i love being over powered. Im not alone. -

Haha thats your comeback? Really? if you are honest with yourself, it can be challenging as is, but it has to fit your cookie cutter wish list and other people be damned. Take the time to organize your type of fun like the rest of us do, and have done since May. Ive only missed 1 week of playing roughly since may. And it still hasnt lost its appeal to me or anyone else I team with.
