I haven't tried procing out RT, I'll have to give that a try. I have tried various slotting on Beta Decay and didn't really notice much happening procs wise. For me it isn't worth more than one, maybe two slots (if I'm feeling daring on the build). I like GZ as I've said because I use/slot it for KD. It works great and provides some healing for the team and is basically up at least once per mob, depending on level and difficulty settings. I'm still seeing one slot available at level 11 on the new build.

Good turnout tonight on Everlasting. Three teams, 2 missions one Lady Grey TF. Thanks for leading PapaSlade and Hera. We're back on Indomitable next week 8/25. Meet in KR by IP gate at 6pm PDT/9pm EDT, and we'll get rolling from there. **Remember, Sept 29th it's Tanks vs Hami on Excel! Get your Tanker ready!**

Just my 2 infs worth: Radiation Therapy, I'd six slot with Preventative Medicine. If you want a proc in there, take only one. If understand procs (which is hard on my brain), I think on that power only one will fire at a time. Or, build it with all Oblitz. Beta Decay, only really needs one slot. On other builds if you have slots available feel free to give it more, but usually slotting beyond the one is overkill. Whirling Mace, I'd keep it, I like the power. I know some player do, some don't, I do. Ground Zero, I slot with Oblitz and the KD proc from Avalanche. It's up enough that I can use to keep mobs off their feet. Jawbreaker, do you need the proc in there? This will be a style of play call. If you noticing it adding significant damage, keep it. Otherwise the slot might be helpful elsewhere. Clobber, again, check the proc. If you changed that over to six Hecatomb you'd add 6% Psi resist (Tox won't really matter at this point). Other than those changes, I'd say it looks good. How does it play and how do you feel about it? ** Forgot to mention, did you know you still have 3 slots waiting to be used? The version of your Mids build that downloads shows 3 slots around level 44/45 that haven't been used.

We had three teams on Torch last night. Two ran Citadel, and one ran missions. Thanks to Hera, Sailboat and Agoogala for leading our teams! 8/18 we're back on Everlasting. Meet in KR by IP gate at 6pm PDT/9pm EDT, and we'll get rolling from there. Reminder: Tank vs Hami on Excel on 9/29. Make sure you're tall enough for the ride and dress appropriately!

Another great run on Excelsior, Three teams to start, Sewer Trial - lead by Ultraaman, Ms. Liberty TF - lead by Kilo, and a missions team, which eventually split into two teams, thanks for leading on Scranker, then the it got a bit confusing as the TF/Trials teams finished, more teamage was in order. In short, thanks to all who lead and held the star. Much fun and leveling was had by all! Also, Sept 29th is Tanks vs Hami on Excel, so get your 50s ready for a once in a life time first! And... TTT on Torch 8/11. Meet in King's Row @ 6pm PDT/9pm EDT, by IP Gate and we'll get rolling from there. See you all in game!

Hi 11Troy11, 1. Nope, no minimum level. The only requirement is that you're a Tanker. 2. All Tanker power sets are welcome, any combo you want to run. 3. I believe you can make 5 transfer per month (?). Please don't quote me on this. Feel free to transfer to any events you want. Or, if you wish, you can roll a Tank on each server we're on. There is a TankHQ (our super group) on every server. Just let us know you need an invite to the group and one of us will send an invite. 4. Welcome to the event, hope to see you tomorrow!

We had two full team on Indom and smashed our way through the Yin TF. Tank teams 2, Clamor 0. Thanks to Witty and Kilo for leading teams! We're back on Excelsior (the home of TT) next week 8/4 for the start of August's TT's! Meet in King's Row @ 6pm PDT/9pm EDT, by IP Gate and we'll get rolling from there.

Shield/Fire the ultimate in flash/bang! Not sure I have the build, I'll have to look around.
-
Welcome to all the new Tankers, feel free to join us on a Tanker Tuesday. It's a good place to see power sets in action and how they're played. Granted you'd be in a scrum of Tanks demolishing the goons, but it's still a good place to see things in action and ask questions.
-
Hi Sickraspy, Welcome back! My suggestions would be Rad/Fire, Rad/Rad and then any other combo (I'm a Rad and Fiery Melee fan, so I might be biased). Aside for that, what sets did you play on live and did you like/enjoy them?
-
Hey Tankyou, Were you able to catch an event with us yet? Things get pretty busy and I don't always get to see who all was able to join in. If not, hopefully we'll see at a TT soon.

Whew what a night! Three teams, two team of Tanks vs Romi, and Romi drops to both. Team 2 had a bit of a hang up, but managed to pull off the win with time running out. Way to go team!! As always thanks to the team leaders (Kilo, Lor and PC (and whoever else may have lead missions))!! We're back on Indomitable next week 7/28. Meet in KR by IP gate at 6pm PDT/9pm EDT, and we'll get rolling from there.

Hey Josh, Thanks for posting your experience with SavMelee. From what you're reporting it does sound like a positioning update error with the teleportation portion of the power/s. Hopefully this is something that can be looked at and fairly quickly resolved.
-
Just confirmed it seems to not be updating the Tanks position. I'm currently testing on my SD/EleMelee Tank and happened to be standing in another mob when I triggered Lightning Rod. The mob I was standing in took the damage the one I landed in (a ways away) took no damage from the attack.

Hi all, I'm not sure how this works and I don't mean to cross post, but I posted this in the Tanker forum for feedback, and after hearing back from a GM, I'm going to post it here as well. Lightning Rod seems to totally miss about every sixth mob (sometimes more/sometimes less) or so. I fire off Lightning Rod and get NO hits at all. I checked the combat log and it shows the power was activated, but then no other data. It's like the power stopped functioning right after activation. The combat logs shows only Lightning Field (damage aura) hitting the enemies (which makes sense since I've teleported into a mob). I know friend running an Elect/Elect for the first time respec'd out of LR because to them it wasn't working even more frequently. After a quick couple of tests outside the mission, with no mobs around. I was able to confirm the log information for activating the power with no mobs around were the same as the ones when the power "fails to hit" in the missions. It looks like the system is not updating the toons new location on the map after the teleport portion of Lightning Rod takes place, or the teleportation is taking place and the power fails/stops completing the attack sequence (to hit and damage). It could be a sync/placement on the map error, so something like that (but Lightning Field is shown hitting). As mentioned, it seems to happen about 1 in 6 times, sometimes more, sometimes less. But, the result is always the same. If you look at the log entries from when it works. There's a 95% chance of hitting. If I were hitting only one or two targets I'd say it's possible, but I was set for 8 +0 when testing, so no lack of targets (10-16+) depending on the mob size. I can see missing a few or a lot, but missing all with 95% chance to hit seems a bit unlikely, especially multiple times in a row, or even during the same mission. Also, it works as expected ~approx 5 out of 6 times, so it seems there's something going on. In mission combat log- no hits from LR after a teleporting attack: ElectricalExperiment HITS you! Build Up power was autohit. You tap into your inner strength with your Build Up and are more accurate and more deadly for a short while. Chain Induction is recharged. Jacobs Ladder is recharged. You activated the Lightning Rod power. Orion Star HITS you! Call Hawk power had a 54.23% chance to hit and rolled a 46.53. Orion Star hits you with their Call Hawk for 8.09 points of Lethal damage over time. Orion Star knocks you off your feet with their Call Hawk! Orion Star hits you with their Call Hawk for 8.09 points of Lethal damage over time. You hit Autumnal with your Lightning Field for 21.1 points of Energy damage. You hit Autumnal with your Lightning Field for 3.95 points of their endurance. You hit Avonai Creed with your Lightning Field for 21.1 points of Energy damage. You hit Avonai Creed with your Lightning Field for 3.95 points of their endurance. You hit Miss Mistakke with your Lightning Field for 21.1 points of Energy damage. You hit Miss Mistakke with your Lightning Field for 5.53 points of their endurance. You hit Mitternacht with your Lightning Field for 21.1 points of Energy damage. Out of mission combat log, firing with no mobs around: You activated the Build Up power. HIT ElectricalExperiment! Your Build Up power is autohit. ElectricalExperiment HITS you! Yes direct line of site. It will also do the "missing" even standing in a mob.
-
I understand the pet issue, but that doesn't sort out the 100% missing when teleporting in. It seems like a positional issues as-in the system has updated your position and doesn't see mobs around you. So, no hits. If it summons a pet, then it seems like there's an issue with it not summoning the pet in all instances (approx 1 in 6), and that's a problem. The power isn't working correctly.
-
I'll give that a shot, but I'm not sure that's the issues as I'm currently using level 40 Common IOs. Seems like the power should be indifferent to the enhancement until you get to IO Sets and they're either allowed or not. The issue seems to be with the teleport portion of the power. The transportation portion works, but the power then fails to target/acknowledge the (now) surrounding enemies. Just to confirm, the power doesn't take pet sets.

Hi all, Just checking to see if anyone else is noticing this. About every six mobs or so I fire off Lightning Rod and get NO hit at all. I was able to confirm the log information for activating the power with no mobs around were the same as the when the power "fails to hit" in the missions. It looks like the teleport portion of Lightning Rod isn't functioning correctly all the time. In mission combat log: ElectricalExperiment HITS you! Build Up power was autohit. You tap into your inner strength with your Build Up and are more accurate and more deadly for a short while. Chain Induction is recharged. Jacobs Ladder is recharged. Hey all, Just wanted to get a "T-minus" countdown post for our all Tanker Hami on Excel, September 29th, at the usual TT time. I know it seems like a long way out, but it's time to get your all Tanker Hami toons dialed in for this upcoming historical Tankfest. Things (powers) or temps that you'll need: The ability to fly for the duration of the event power set or flight pack of some kind. Holds, powers are best, temps work (Tranq Dart, Gold Rings, others if there are). Ranged attack, again, powers are best, temps work for this but have a longer recharge. Taunt, if you want to be Hami Tank or one of the Yellow Mito Tuanters. Pets, Incarnate will be best, others as desired. We won't use these until we go for the kill, so please hold off on launching them before. Nukes, if you've got them fine, with Incarnate powers, I'm not sure we'll need them. Again, we'll hold off on these until the final push. Please post any other suggestions or items or powers that I'm forgetting about.

Three teams on Torch, so nice turn out. We ran Synapse (which decided to give us some grief with stuck clocks), Sara Moore, and a Missions team. Thanks for leading the teams, Kilo, Hera and Desi! Next week (7/21) we're heading back Lor's server, Everlasting, for our next TTT! Meet in KR by IP gate at 6pm PDT/9pm EDT, and we'll get rolling from there.

I take it you're looking to do Fire Farms with this toon, if so it should work. Is the issue that you're dropping mobs too slow for your liking? If so, you might look at procing IG and 6 slotting RT with Oblitz. You're opening attack would be to hit the mob with RT for the debuff, followed by AS and the rest of your Attack Chain as you see fit. Cycle RT as needed for the debuff (and damage, depending on how you've slotted it. To be fair, I've never slotted RT and GZ with procs, so I can't really speak to the effectiveness of that. I slot RT with either PMs or Oblitz, and GZ with Oblitz. My Rad/Fire can do Fire Farms or demons pretty well, but he's much better with Energy based mobs.

Another great TT on Excel. We had two TF teams and a mission team as well. Thanks all for joining and a special thanks to all our team leads (Ms Aligned and Heraclea)! We'll see you next week on Torch 7/7 for T4. Meet in King's Row @ 6pm PDT/9pm EDT, by IP Gate and we'll get rolling from there.

Hey Groq, Glad to hear you were able to get the event running over there. Hope all goes well!
