  1. Well I have been trying to help out. Anything I don't use I just do /ah and dump them in for 1111 inf. Sure I make less on some vs vendoring but money comes easy enough. I would rather have someone get use out of it more than I care about making a little bit more cash.
  2. /altinvite name does work. It's now very easy to make your own base and fill it with stuff to share for all your characters. As long as the one doing the invite has permission to invite they will be in the SG once they log in without having to accept.
  3. Not specifically that or stalkers but I did notice on the old servers there was a bit of lag but was only noticed with certain things. Mostly clicking glowies. You would come to a complete stop , click and get interrupted. Then click again amd you would be fine. I just got used to double clicking them but will keep my eye out to see if I can click right away now that the servers are closer.
  4. There's two separate things; the server XPScale, and the character attribute kExperienceGain; both default to 1. The XP to be earned is first multiplied by one, then the other. A 50% XP booster sets kExperienceGain to 1.5; so 1000 XP * 0.5 * 1.5 = 750XP. A double XP booster gets you the base XP rate in AE. Thank you for the clarification.
  5. Question on the math with XP boosts and AE. Base is 100% the xp boosts up to +100%. So is AE x.5 xp or is it -50%? The first will get the end results at regular XP for AE but no money, the second will have a net result of 150% xp.
  6. Looks are not everything. There are 2 reasons (not counting looking pretty while flying) to take Whirling hands. You are leveling EM and it's your only AOE. You want the slots for pbaoe set bonuses. Endgame EM is a beast against single targets. If you want aome AOE you are better off going into epic pools as they will hit a much larger number of targets and some do as much if not more damage.
  7. Threads like this are why I think of this community as Family.
  8. Where did you get these numbers? I'm seeing 62.56 in game. 0.8(62.56/1.2) = 41.71 1.2(41.71/0.8) = 62.56 Yup, you are right and I was wrong. I updated the post. When I downloaded Pines I did not double check the settings and the default was for average damage (which calculates crits and procs) instead of the minimum damage so my numbers I was starting with were wrong. 80% works fine for single stacked rage but double would still cause issues. The heavy hitter KO Blow for example does around 728 accounting for damage slotting, double rage and fury. Scrappers in the same situation (and not having to build fury) would end up hitting for around 802 with a chance to crit. The Brute would have to get another roughly 50% damage in order to break even. Considering the SCORE people are not developers I would not want them to have to go through a giant balancing act trying to make major tweaks to the powers just for the sake of a port. Other SS Brutes are going to hate me but I could actually get behind the idea of having a 2nd rage just override and refresh the timer preventing a crash. That would be something if it is easy to put in I would find acceptable as a fair trade off.
  9. I like to go into defensive stance for the alpha then hit the one you were talking about after that inital hit. It also has a heal and the absorb shield allows time for you to regen to full. So far I'm at lvl 40 and running solo missions at plus 1 set for 4 with bosses but will probably be bumping to 5 as I end up being fine if I get 2 groups aggroed. Loving the set so far. Full disclosure I have dropped merits into lotg rechrge, numina and miracle so ymmv without those. Also it is a set that is a late bloomer. Before your aoe damage toggle and footstomp it is pretty tedious. After that you can round everything up and go after the bosses and lts and let your aoe take care of the rest.
  10. Here is what I would do endgame. I basically took my SS/Bio build on the defensive side and put in spines. Things to note about the numbers. Pines does not account for the regen or recovery from DNA Siphon. Since I have its recharge faster than its duration figure in an extra up to 395% regen if you can manage to hit 10 at a time. Not difficult if you are farming large spawns. Also Pines does not, or is not able to factor the additional regen for Evolving Armor so hard numbers are difficult to figure until it is actually built. Instead of shooting for soft cap for S/L as that ate up too many slots for what I wanted to do, I went for high regen and high HP along side the decent defense numbers and high damage resist for S/L. Something like this should make a good all around farmer for pretty much everything and be great in most every TF/Trial. I went with ball lighting instead of throw spines. It is slightly lower damage but it is AOE vs cone so more likely to hit more stuff. You could also put in Electrifying Fences instead of Mu Lightning if you prefer even more AOE. There is also enough recharge to have your Parasitic Aura up about half the time which throws your regen into godly levels if you hit the cap when you cast it. Although I still have no idea what to put in the last power. Probably Super Speed Hero Plan by Mids' Hero Designer 1.962 http://www.cohplanner.com/ Click this DataLink to open the build! 11. Basically yes. Or maybe beast trot.
  12. If you are running just solo missions at normal spawn size EM is great while leveling due to its decent single target damage and stuns baked into everything. If you are planning on being set for higher numbers the Elec is probably a good secondary as you have some AOE already baked in with your Lightning Field to help offset the lack of decent AOE in EM. Its one AOE does pretty low damage and has the same radius as your punches but also adds stun. All around it would be a decent combo for solo work unless you are planning on farming.
  13. Drop Maneuvers. That is an end hog and gives you minimal defense on a set geared for resists. Combat jumping take minimal end so I would drop a KB protection IO in there if you have the merits to get one. There is no need to 3 slot temp protection as you are already at the cap with 1 slot. You can also drop a slot from Plasma shield as anything past 3 IOs gets very little return. Also would 2 slot endurance on your damage auras until you can get Numina and/or Miracle slotted in Health. Can drop the 4th slot in stamina as well for now and throw those extra slots in your melee attack. At 26 this is what I would probably be doing with the powers you have chosen (mostly). You may also consider Air superiority thrown in there at least while you are leveling solo. It is a handy quick recharging attack that has knockdown which will help mitigate damage as well. | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1168;498;996;HEX;| |78DA6553CB4EDB40149DB12784BC488026B1A02E84D2804A7089DA7DD596A61B222| |1F101910543B014411427122CF9A1EEA08F2FA8BAE89FF4B1ACBA716FEEBDB12778| |249F3373EE997BE7E5EEF561F1E387DBD74216DE0DFC30ECBD1D4DC63AD3F5FBC1A| |998B62C7C2B28F6BA7AA0B577320C2E75E89074A8CFF565A8BD4EA04737BD379391| |2F8AC7575703EF48FBE0EBE7717032D4FAAC84DD4ED0BF1843A03C739DE95178110| |CABEF87C1A9C77526BDAE1F8E21A303C59BF07D6B0A6E9125D680DA4A2C3488575C| |E2BB6958A2C7162DD22CF6583C5E60FEDE64AB8894E47C8BECCDEF31BBF3F9EF816| |CCAAF6C9EA3DC799EE52832D7E1F4325447642268620B942C651159AEF41928C75A| |CE818EAB440D7C05D60A7F056A12B412672BAD91F605A84C3EABCCBBAB70F50A8F7| |FC06E97C9239779E535F6D8907395E7AFB2FF51639E3F0155F9F4ABBCE6DA36B1C3| |FC15A88E671AC93AD770D81BCD5A661DCFA081B88DD8447C8EF802710AB68BDD270| |66EC641B56164799A42B46C1925CC423BB1453E33645CDC2E765B88FB296CC7466B| |CF30B612D93336916CC53A30A6133E56F16B1682F69F520E524A3BA5BC4C29AF524| |A2751A2A354F458C5FF8190A8E42AF0CAD9FF330F517E83729FEEF277A249C9775F| |9CF28E12BF4CFF2EC5FE249A2537495B7AC0FF6A40E489FE0354305ADC| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|
  14. Edit to remove long rant that is apparently wrong because I didn't double check my Pines settings and had the average damage checked instead of minimum damage so it showed damage including average crits as well. Will run the numbers again after I wake up to see what if any changes would be needed for a port. Thank you Galacticman for noticing the error.
  15. And giant Titan weapons are not very scrappy either. The quick strikes of Katana do not feel very brutish either yet they both exist.
  16. That is far from true and would be magnified with double Rage (which is common). After getting home and doing some number crunching I have changed my mind and believe that +50% for rage would be perfect. Basic low damage attack for a brute is 41.71 at lvl 50 and the same basic low damage attack on a scrapper starts at 68.82. The fury base used to compare the 2 sets is 65% meaning that with 3 level 50 damage IOs and 65% fury, scrappers and brutes put out roughly the same damage outside of crits. So single stacked Rage with 65% fury and we are looking at.... Brute: 100% base + 80% rage + 100% slotting + 130% fury for a total of 410% x 41.71 = 171 Scrapper: 100% base + 50% rage + 100% slotting for a total of 250% x 68.82 = 172 Double stacked rage with 65% fury and we are looking at.... Brute 100% base +160% rage + 100% slotting +130% fury for a total of 490% x 41.71 = 204.4 Scrapper 100% base +100% rage + 100% slotting for a total of 300% x 68.82 = 206.46 50% would ensure they push out roughly the same damage as similar brutes with even higher damage potential because of crits.
  17. One thing I could get behind would be Dark Regeneration to have a slightly smaller heal in exchange for adding a small +end +recovery based on the number of mobs hit. All the newer sets have something similar like DNA Siphon and Radiation Therapy. Dark Regen's heal is way too strong and a lot of the healing is wasted. Just 2 heal IOs and 2 mobs hit and you go from 1hp to full and even unslotted will heal you 3x over in large groups. As long as the hit to the heal is small, it would not even be noticed unless you were up against 1 enemy. Another tweak that would be workable would be to move immobilization protection to Obsidian shield where all the other protections are which means that you can turn off Cloak of Darkness while in combat as the small defense it provides is useless unless you build just for defense. At that point you would be spending a ton of money and would likely be adding recovery in your build as well.
  18. Need more info. What level are you now and do you have a build that shows what you have now?
  19. They did update the animations that look a bit better for some. Ko blow still is not that great. I would much rather have it like it is. By adding damage to the other tiers that would likely result in nerfs to the 2 powers that make the set what it is.
  20. Exactly correct
  21. With brutes and tanks getting regen and spines I think it is tome to give Super Strength to scrappers. You of course would have to decrease the damage buff on rage or it woud be stupidly OP. I would cut it in half to 40% or maybe go safe and cut it to 25%. Then itcould be increased if the set is under performing as we tend to like buffs more than nerfs.
  22. Incarnate abilities. Numina. Miricle. Accolades that increase max endurance. Tons of set bonuses that give additional recovery. There are plenty of in game options already to make it more playable.
  23. I love the beast run animation but it is an end hog in battle. I would love to see an option that adds the animation but gives no bonus to speed and costs no endurance.
  24. It's called IC/OOC boundaries. Griefing other PLAYERS is not roleplaying. It's being a jerk. Unless they are following you around and targeting everything you target it is not griefing.
  25. Set it and forget it is certainly Willpower. It also requires minimal slotting to be decent which means you can spend more slots on attacks. Plus it has quick recovery (basically another stamina) which means you are rarely needing to worry about endurance. This means that literally any primary works well with Willpower.
