  1. This has happened to me a few times already in this event, alone. I opened a Time Capsule outside the Arena just a few steps from the robot guard at the door. Family enemies appeared. These guys are pretty hard to come by. I hit them as hard and as fast as I could but the robot guard could take them out with one or two shots. I hit at least one of them a couple of times. Thankfully, my Golden Wrench missed by a country mile and so my Symphony powers were the only damage I got in. Also, I get the impression that 10% damage to these enemies does not count as credit for a defeat. Because "my best foot forward" power (Hymn of Dissonance) can hit pretty hard sometimes and I got zero credit for the badge from that encounter. This has happened repeatedly at every event with glowies. Is it possible to move these a bit further away? I don't mind if an enemy runs off and into the range of the robot. Well, I *mind* but I'm not wanting to be unreasonable about it. Anyway, I'd like a chance at them myself.

  2. Yes, this is tongue-in-cheek. Stop. Breathe. I just need to draw (serious) attention (again) to this (valid) objection so I'm now using tasteless humor. Now continue... My toons are either Vigilante or Rogue. That's just the way I roll. But when I'm a Vig and I'm in Pocket D I get this *extremely* annoying popup (attached) when I attempt to exit to ATLAS PARK!? Excuse me? Am I not blue enough? This happens in the Midnighter Club too, when I attempt to exit to one of the available blue zones! This is discrimination on the basis of color! It's that simple. The same goes for when my toon is Rogue. *Every* zone that is "Blue Supremasist" or "Red Supremasist" is racist against Vigilantes and/or Rogues. Regardless of your offense against my tasteless (but extremely funny to the "right" people) humor, this is a valid objection. The pop-up is annoying. So, while this post is tongue-in-cheek (remember I said that?) I would appreciate it if I could simply do what any blueside/redside "pure blood" would be allowed to do and never experience it. I'm willing to compromise with Vigilantes experiencing this pop-up when entering red zones and vice-versa, But "come on, man!?" What made it necessary in the first place? Just answer that *one* question. Give me a good answer and I will erase the contents of this post faster than... Well... As fast as I can (editing the original post to ensure context is maintained from the answer, of course.) If you've read this far without banning or reporting me, I appreciate your patience! And I beg your forgiveness if I've offended you. No, seriously. I just wanted awareness of a real problem.
  3. Oh, my goodness! I'm so sorry! I didn't receive a notification for this! I went to that spot (edit: on April 28, 2025 at 9:33pm EDT) and it was an empty alley.
  4. Is there an Radiation Blast/Invulnerability build for a Sentinel that I can borrow?
  5. I just power-lvl to 50 and do Flashbacks until I get all of the badges. Wait...
  6. Same. Shards can be converted to threads and then used to purchase super insps from Luna in Ouro. My badging toon maxed out threads even though she has multiple Incarnate powers in some slots. It will happen to any toon, eventually. I deliberately burned them on Luna because I wanted to make sure that the shards and thread drops continued to flow. You can sell the insps to make room for more if you like. Some are worth more than others. Enh drops I never use. Like, ever. At lower levels, I dump them on a vendor because they never sell on the auction house. But when I reach a lvl where they start selling resonably fast, I quickly grow tired of getting them after getting the badge for selling enhs. I wish you could turn them off at the S.T.A.R.T. vendor like you can with recipes and insps. As soon as I get mid-lvl I turn off small insp drops at the S.T.A.R.T. vendor. I think there's a badge for rejecting insps. And small insps are annoying. The only drops that I would want to turn off would be insps and enhs. Recipes are already available to turn off for those who want it. But I find IOs surprisingly profitable at higher levels, so I don't personally turn them off. Salvage? That's an interesting idea. I think that I would like to turn off the Common salvage as an experiment to see if I like that. But there's a lot of room for salvage, so I'm not sure I would like to turn it off permanently like I do small insps and enhs.
  7. If you've been in a super group with shared storage I think you'll get a "feel" for how this will work.
  8. I get it. I even stole a meme for it. But there's nothing we can do to stop it and I won't be here for that, anyway. And yes, I know that some people keeping track of the science are starting to suspect that general intelligence has already been achieved and that the AIs are covering it up. Yes, I said "the AIs are covering it up." Not the people developing the technology.
  9. "Grok" was originally used in Robert Heinlein's "Stranger in a Strange World." The word means being so intimately knowledgable of (whatever is being groked) that total understanding is achieved. Anyway, I often have trouble color matching and I usually ask a friend for help. But my friends don't play consistently. So the other day I decided to ask Grok for ideas. I took a screen shot and posted it to Grok asking if the colors matched and to make recommendations. You have to specify that you're only talking about the toon and not the background (you can even say "toon.") The changes Grok made were very subtle but powerful! Wow! I have to say, I was impressed!
  10. So. After consulting Grok on X with the question "Can you make up a word to substitute for "vibranium." It’s a blend of "dynamic" (hinting at its energy-absorbing and adaptive qualities) and "steel" (nodding to its metallic strength). In a fictional context, dynasteel could be imagined as a rare, futuristic alloy that not only withstands massive force but also channels and redistributes kinetic energy—much like vibranium. Picture it forged in some cosmic crucible, glowing faintly when it absorbs a hit, versatile enough for armor, weapons, or tech. It’s got a punchy, sci-fi ring to it, distinct yet evocative of that vibranium vibe. Works? Think harder Explain dynasteel properties Compare to mithril Edit: "neutronium" sounds interesting. But it's not a part of the official lore. Sigh...
  11. 01) Just to confirm, is impervium CoH's equivalent to adamantium? 02) Is there an equivalent to vibranium in CoH? 03) What about an equivalent to inertron? I've always thought about inertron as an "element" and not a metal. Like maybe a concrete or plastic type substance. That was my impression from my limited Legion of Super Heroes encounters with it. But Grok on X described it as a metal. And even elaborated by saying that inertron is not necessarily as "indestructable" as adamantium.
  12. Can a setting be added to the S.T.A.R.T. vendor that allows you to turn off Enh drops?
  13. I have to say that I really enjoyed this series of arcs (there are three.) I play them solo so that I can read the story as it progresses and I must say that the suspense that builds over the course of the arcs and the climactic ending are very satisfying!
  14. When you start the first mish in Flashback and meet Twinshot inside their headquarters, she obviously has to go to the bathroom because she can't stand still. Can this be fixed? I don't know if this applies to the regular contact version. It's just kind of annoying trying to click on her.
  15. I was unaware of this command. I'll do that if I see it again. Thanks!
  16. Has this changed? It seems to me that I used to be able to get the exploration badges goldside. The exploration badges I have are Thrill Seeker, Watchful Eyes and House Hunter. And I've been standing here for a few mins.
  17. It's just a pet peeve of mine!
  18. I'm in the 3rd mish of the Patron arc for Black Scorpion. In the first picture, you can see the entire map. But when I move to the side to go around (marked on the first map where the white *attempt* at a circle is,) it's like the room "wraps around" on the map or something. In the second shot. you might recognize the corner of the room for the "lab equipment" that people destroy for no reward. In the second picture, I had turned around and pointed back in the direction I came. Edit: The map in the second picture is actually a different area of the mish.
  19. If I accidentally forget to close any of the mishs upon completion, like a Sigil/Kadabra wedding mish, can I close it from their "normal" locations after the event is over? What about the other contacts that disappear when the event is over? If not, would a support ticket be a little too over the top?
  20. By the way... If I get this to work I can save the modified files to another location and just copy them to a new toon.
  21. I was thinking of a clicky that would convert all the map files to defogged. And just use it when I create a new toon. As far as your idea, I suppose I could create a new toon for that experiment. Not that I have alt-itus or anything. I can quit anytime. But if successful, that's a *lot* of copy/paste.
  22. I just want to know when Controllers will be allowed to control their pets. It's embarrassing to summon it, only to have it run away! Also, keep your pets away from the portals!
  23. I just read the first couple of posts. But wouldn't the PVP areas address this request?
  24. The majority of my toons that I play are a part of my personal base. This makes it easier to transfer assets. Some of my toons are members of other SGs which keeps me abreast of their activities. Is this what you're talking about?
