Which is probably the best thing to do @KaizenSoze, whenever I lead teams I usually gave a one or two point warning before a kick. It is just now a unfortunate reality going forward now.

League Running, Scaling Enemies, and Annoyance
Snokle replied to SpookTheHerd's topic in General Discussion
I know during the MS event there were a couple of people who did wonders setting up leagues and going. The problem I saw was the amount of people not willing do form after a full announcement was done. I was in a low level zone at that time, I think my toon was 40, and I have some mild experience doing leagues for other GMs and some trials. But that was a crap show, with people crying immediately that they are not 50 as they join the league as I am trying to move people around to get a 50 on each team and balance it out. Then some leaders became unresponsive and others just went their own direction. The league thing can be cumbersome, but that made me stay away from doing league events going forward, as the rewards were not worth the hassle for me. -
In various ways I agree, as people spreading toil and ruining others fun for their enjoyment is crap. While 90% of the time KB does not bother me, a person spamming the power to cause problems not just the KB but the rampant TP. I would rather report and block, especially after "deal with it" response. I think it is just the coming of the time now as our niche game now have public eyes and attention on it. We will get great people and horrible ones everywhere we go now. It will just be how we handle it.

Welcome to every MMO in the world. It was only a matter of time till it came here. I remember on live on Triumph we had a lot of random trolls some crap, and others fantastic during that time.

For Ice primary you want either Vigor or Cardiac, then intuitive. I would avoid muscular as that is a trap for the most part. With how much Artic Air costs on end and other toggles you will probably still have issues with the blue bar. On my Ice Dom I run vigor, aside from the ACC bonus, you get end, and confuse bonus. With vigor and the ACC bonus it opens up a lot for procing to get more damage out.

PC Gamer Article on Homecoming's Deal with NC
Snokle replied to Lunar Ronin's topic in General Discussion
So with NCSoft making it full legitimate, with agreement on both sides of the contract it is good to see. I can see the hive mind on Reddit will still deny reality here proclaiming they need a physical copy or something else to keep up their viewpoints. On a grander point, this is a good base for future MMOs that were shutdown for fans to build a private server legal as possible to keep a niche fanbase together. -
I was the person who formed this last night, and yeah I can say Snarky you were solid in the tanking role last night. It started a bit rough but once the groove was in it was a blast. While the composition was a little different than standard team building, I always go with a flow, as the team should be able to meld together.

Need guidance for a illusion/martial assault build.
Snokle replied to Sky Silverwing's topic in Dominator
You have to use a application called Mids Reborn. This is what people use to build character builds. There is a link on the forums, or you can Google for it. Also it might ask you for what database to use, choose Homecoming. -
I cannot comment on a whole about this but for myself I have a couple other Dom in the pipeline that I was working/reworking on which take up time when I am playing the game. Also the powerset did not really intrigue me per say. From what I recall seeing on the forums people were just mid about the sets individually, as it was not bad but failed to crack an interest over other sets. As a lot of people who a new to Doms usually go for something a bit more friendly to plan to get a grasp under, then branch out from there.

I think last year I ran a couple Mo runs with you while we still had the +1 for Mo attempts. It was still very tight at the time I do remember. I have not done an Mo attempt since then as it is a true pain to get people together for it and to achieve that.

Hopefully you come back and do some The Really Hard way badge runs, as I missed them when they were more common on earlier days. I felt you did a great job running those and kept a good nature speech pattern to help make following steps simple. And I would agree that maybe triple threat or Mo Barracuda were some of the toughest for me personally. Triple Threat for modern times cause of the RNG factor, and MO Barracuda old school when you needed the mix of ATs have a chance and of course no Incarnate at the time.

Wikipedia and City of Heroes (not the Homecoming Wiki)
Snokle replied to Techwright's topic in General Discussion
Again, as I said technically in a pure legal sense, anything that is not a physical document or agreement of some sort can be taken like this. While we here on this community and for the most part people who care will see the announcement and no brimefire from NCSOFT as confirmation. That does not hold us in usual business ways as contracts are involved. Technically without proper knowledge it can been seen as alleged as there is no sustainable proof aside that we are still here. Still without lock solid proof people will rule lawyer and proclaim allegedly. As unless that person is going to court on this, which would be very silly the proof of burden is not on them for not believing them. Also it is a Wiki we are talking about people edit shit on their constantly with every intention a person can have. -
Wikipedia and City of Heroes (not the Homecoming Wiki)
Snokle replied to Techwright's topic in General Discussion
I agree with what Luminara is saying here. Technically it is allegedly as we have no definitive or legal proof of this. We can assume that this is legit and remove the alleged comment, but unless there is formal documentation about the agreement, or a second source to confirm it is what it is. Now was someone being a rules lawyer or disgruntled about the announcement and made sure to stick it on the Wiki? Probably as Wiki as they say is community based, as you mentioned there could be an edit war over minimal stuff like this. But it the end it just is the eyes of the community and their thoughts I guess. -
I did look over her Wiki page, so they took some notes and changed it as she had no idea about being a clone. But that seemed like a very large arc for a secondary character, which is not really needed. I felt this setup Sinister, and the conflict there which is more integral for the story. Also, I am one who is not bothered when stuff is altered or edited when transferring from one media to another.

The Dark Horse, Top Cow comics were all done when the game was live, and was given the original seal of approval from the Cryptic team. A lot of stuff changes/rewrote as other devs or writers came, as we see many times in the game. The other two above are tied into the Manticore wedding that did happen and written by the devs. Also the other one was maybe setup as who will die? I am not sure about this but they are all done by the dev team or outsourced. I know the server devs on Homecoming, Thunderapy, or Rebirth made them. But I think the comics are better as a look a what the ideas of the game before in early days than what the current lore is especially for Praetorian, as that was rewritten when going Rouge came out from what I recall.

Well that is the usual amount of episodes now on streaming services. While it has already been planned for a third season with season two almost done. Also season 5 the original series finale had 10 episodes. Honestly five hours is enough to make a major story, especially if it is continuing into other seasons. Personally for me I want a more tight scripted series and avoiding a lot of fat or delays. Was it a quick turn around on 3, probably but to say it was rushed not sure on that. I will wait till the season ends before I make final judgement.
-
Maybe from the first two, but Top Cow and other comics are extremely old from IIRC when it was just CoH, no CoV or Goldside around and some of the stuff was non-canonized. Especially anything that had old Praetoria in it would of been re-written. The two newer ones, I cannot say for certain; but I would be skeptical.

Katie Hannon Last Night: It was my fault

As with any great story there is a small sliver of truth, and ninjas. -
Katie Hannon Last Night: It was my fault
Snokle replied to JasperStone's topic in General Discussion
The look he gave when we mentioned this brought a chill down our spine. We learned that there was no such thing called ninjas, and since that day we have never seen them to change our beliefs. -
Well my Plant dom has a small Jurassik it picked up randomly maybe he found better pastures on the redside with me.

I have been told by my old boss who was a Samurai that there is no such thing as ninjas. So those are good horses in disguise. -
Took some of your notes, and did a small adjustments; mainly just adding a slight more rech to 162%, and shifting a few procs arounds trying to squeeze another FF +rech. So a slight bit of DPS loss but I think it is the smoother chain, and I love the mallet animations. I did take out tremor as the animation time is brutal and the DPS did not do it for me, also WoC is good at times, but Seeds vastly overpowers it, while it helped in some places overall I wanted to spam seeds more for stacking confuse. Also while I love Link Minds, but it never felt like a smooth addition to this build and the goals I had envisioned. I took Fire Mastery, as mentioned in @EnjoyTheJourney's build and it seem more in line with a nature setup, also I did forget about melt armor and which has new life under the new page 7. I have gone through Anchillary's of Ice, Dark, Psi, Mace, Levi, Soul. But Fire was the missing piece I feel. While I will have to build up some incarnate salvage for Support Hybrid, I like the idea of the rotating defenses of Unleash Potential > Barrier > Support, as it is a nice rotation to keep high end resistance and good defense, which helps in everyday mobs. I am not sure how much I will be hunting AVs on this build as HP is still lowish, and those random 5% will hit and hurt (Thanks Infernal!), but probably more in line to prep and plan a bit more for the ones who do not care about smash damage. I think Melt Armor and Weaken resolve will help with that. Also I should remember to look into the other origin power pools to see what they can do in right builds aside from RoP.

While I cannot comment too much on Dark assault, as I am currently working on a build for it and do not have much expierence. I do have some for in general for Dark Control, and other dark sets, and in relation to Doms. I think Vigor is highly undervalued on Doms. Dark can be end hungry and the end reduction is crucial for this, especially in the land of procs and perma-dom. With Doms usually not having the best end management, and the need for recharge for perma, and then adding more for DPS, I think Vigor, and the lesser extent Cardiac are big game changers for Doms. I lean more to Vigor after a mention from @EnjoyTheJourney, which changed a lot of ways to build the 50 Dom. The ACC and END Red, are very nice to have on a Dom, that covers two things you really want aside from recharge bonuses. Making sure all your controls hit and keeping your blue bar topped up. While I know most people will usually say to lean on Domination, I think there is enough that can be done to keep a higher consistency and not depend on Domination to top up the blue. For the life drain, I was looking at frakenslotting it with some ACC/HEAL and procs to go more DPS on my dark assault dom, but mine is more Ill/Dark then Dark/Dark, so results might be different.

Slotted in the FF procs in fissure, and mallet, put the -res proc and cold proc in creepers, and a few adjustments to slotting to squeeze out a bit more. I might do another pass through to see how it ends up, but feels a smoother now. I wanted to touch on this question here also, for Earth Assault, you will want some end reduction on it. Most attacks have a very high endurance consumption, and running the procs and high recharge you will eat you bar very heavily. While a loss on high damage, this helps with sustain DPS for a longer period.

Here is the new hash, hopefully it works.
