I get the sentiment. Sometimes I get annoyed by things in this game or people not being as "educated" as I'd/we'd like. But that's just sort of what happens when you have a game that is this old. People start losing their ability to be patient because it's easy to feel as if everyone should be as good as we all think we are. I'm guilty of it too. I'm not going to ignore anyone, sort of regret being as gung-ho as I was... But it's not a good look when some of the community gets this condescending towards people when all they are trying to do is learn. But again, no one is perfect and I'm guilty of it too. /end rant Sorry. Lol.

I mean seriously? The OP has been more than cordial with EVERY. Single. One. Of. You. Even posted photographic evidence of Spinning Strike having a 54 second cooldown... And y'all have the audacity to gaslight them and say "ummm, ACTUALLY... the UI has a graphic bug sometimes so that 54 second power is actually recharging in 45 seconds" and then proceed to find any way you can to invalidate their in-game experience. What do you think they did? Friggin' edited the photo and posted here so they could be "right"? Yeah, the UI DOES bug out sometimes when -recharge happens, yeah, the UI DOES bug out when you open your enhancement tray to look at your build. But also? Sometimes powers DO stay off cooldown for a very, VERY long time when you get hit by a substantial - recharge debuff or get several smaller ones to stack. You going to gaslight me too when I, ironically, got hit by Lingering Radiation from a Rad Emissions Paragon Protector and probably some other debuffs I can't remember on my Archery/Radiation Corrupter in a Manticore TF and manually counted the seconds it took for me to be able to use my T2 blast attack, Aimed Shot? Because it was well over 300% the normal time it recharges. It went from approximately 2 seconds to over 8. Heck, it might have recharged in 7.89 seconds! Maybe even 8.43! Still took a very, very long time considering.
-
There are way more powers that debuff -recharge from Council, the umbral blasts that they have all do -recharge. But I'm not going to argue semantics with you. I came to this Forum post because someone on my Discord (who is in Discord channels with the Dev team and is on closed Beta) is arguing with me that the best way to counter -recharge debuffs is by building more recharge. I argued that having a decent amount of -recharge resist was a better way to combat recharge debuffs. So I came to this Forum post to see what the community said as a whole and to reassert that I wasn't going crazy... And holy hell batman.. Some of y'all are tearing people apart on this post. You are undeniably, objectively, rude and snobby. I've been playing this game since 2006 and can attest that I have experienced everything some of these folks have been saying. Maybe not to the same extremes, but again, that's neither here, nor there and I'm not going to argue semantics with someone who clearly just wants to argue. I read the OPs post/posts and it wasn't hard to follow and understand at all what they were trying to say. That's clearly your issue for not being to understand what they were trying to say. And you know, since you're clearly the authority on this game and you know so much, you shouldn't need them to give you EVERY little piece of information to be able to decipher what mobs they were facing. I have a Fire/Marine Affinity Corr that has all the auto accolades, a fully built, high end build... And when I run Synapse TFs? Even with the -recovery resist from Toroidal Bubble, the +recovery from that same power AND Recovery Serum.. I have noticed a substantial decrease in my endurance recovery, it will frequently go into red territory. That being said, this is because I play very aggressively and I am often one of the first to engage the mobs with Whitecap, so unless the Tank/melee toons are veterans or as aggressive as me, this is always the case and it does have a very noticeable effect on my endurance management... sometimes I even have to pop blues. When I run Manticore TFs? Attack a spawn with a Cryogenicist AND a Radiations Emission Paragon Protector when you have minimal or zero recharge debuff resist and tell me how long it takes for your powers to recharge, because I'm telling you, it's gonna take awhile. I really expected to come to this Forum post and find constructive information... and I did. But wow... Did I have to read through a lot of elitists dragging someone for "not being good enough". Really starting to see the toxic side of this community and it's really not enjoyable.

I typically 6 slot Malice in powers like Blaze and split the other set into powers like Rain of Fire or my T1 blast just for the set bonuses. If I can manage to get 4-5 +10% recharge bonuses, then sometimes I'll put the damage proc in something else if I want to proc-bomb it. I've rarely gone that route though and typically use both of those sets to get 3 10% recharge bonuses and some really good set bonuses from the Malice set.
-
Thank you! I was 99.9% certain this is how the proc worked. I slot it in powers where it should be slotted but was getting confused because some of my Discord trying to convince me otherwise lol. I kept saying putting it in Total Focus would be wasting the potential of having your next Total Focus have the increased crit chance. But then someone mentioned that it specifically had a unique interaction with Total Focus. Which is where I started getting confused... as well as them being in talks with the Dev team and being on closed Beta... So I started not trusting my own knowledge of the proc and how it works 😛
-
I have mine slotted in Smite as well on my Dark/Shield Scrapper. While it doesn't have the best proc rate, Smite is an attack I use in between every other attack, so it does go off quite a bit. I've messed around with it in Siphon Life as well but I prefer to put healing sets in that or a decent amount of damage procs. The reason I was confused is because they made a pretty compelling argument and they're also in a Discord channel with the Dev team and on closed Beta. So, I was starting to be convinced that it had some unique interaction with Total Focus specifically. I argued that they were just misinterpreting the way the proc works but was also open to the idea that it maybe did do something weird with Energy Melee having an extra component to it with Energy Focus being a thing.
-
Hello, Forums I was having a debate with my Discord folks on some particular proc-fu. Someone told me that if you slot the +50% crit chance proc into Total Focus that it makes the power more likely to crit (auto crit, as they put it). I was under the impression that the proc makes your next few attacks have an increased chance of critting, not the particular power you have it slotted in. Am I wrong here? Does it have a unique interaction with Total Focus and will slotting that proc into this particular power mean you get double Energy Focus more often? Or would it be better served in a power like Bonesmasher or Energy Transfer? Thanks in advance, Forums!

It took forever but... I'm finally liking a Tanker (Rad/BA)
Camel replied to yorevyomama's topic in Tanker
I know you asked War but I'll chime in a bit earlier. You pretty much hit the nail on the head though! One of the perks of Battle Axe (it has many) is that it is so, SO easy to keep that Force Feedback +recharge proc up! My Rad/Battle Axe Tank has had the buff on for over 20 seconds (the duration will stack instead of giving you more recharge, I'm not sure what the cap is but it's more than 20 seconds), even after I leave combat it's stayed on! I have it in Pendulum, Swoop and Axe Cyclone. In AoE situations it practically becomes permanent. Since that's a thing, Rad/ or Bio/ would definitely be top contenders since you have a lot of powers you do want to cooldown fast. Rad/ having two proc bombs, your absorb shield and your T9, Meltdown. Bio/ having one proc bomb and two absorb shields. Fire/ would also be good and Shield/ would also be fun! Another cool thing about Battle Axe... and circling back to those Force Feedback procs, is that you have a seamless AoE attack chain in Cleave, Pendulum and Axe Cyclone... So, dipping into Energy Mastery actually isn't a terrible idea for endurance management because you have oodles of seamless AoE anyway. If I were to make a Shield/Battle Axe I would absolutely go Energy Mastery. I did it on my Rad/Battle Axe and haven't missed going Soul Mastery for Gloom or Dark Obliteration. -

I'm not sure if it works with your own Fold Space, as I wasn't the one doing it. But if you activate Axe Cyclone and it hits mobs as your teammate Fold Spaces them... they come out of the Fold Space and it absolutely throws them. At least it did when I was teaming with my Discord folks. We started seeing some crazy knockback when the mobs and my Axe Cyclone triggered on the mobs at the exact same time. Sometimes they would all spawn in on each other and become literally one enemy for a second before exploding like confetti. it was truly weird and I have no explanation for it other than the effect of Axe Cyclone trying to pull them together while they are simultaneously being teleported through space lol. -

There's also a unique interaction if you get the timing right (or wrong?) when a teammate uses Fold Space. As well as the dragging enemies with you or jumping up into the air and them literally being tossed around XD I love the cool tech you can do with Axe Cyclone. It's like a pocket Fold Space! -
I understand, just trying to help you out so you can have a build that includes what you were trying to fit into your build. Even if it does play fine, adding the really cheap IO sets shown in either of the "budget" builds I shared would make it play better 👍 You could also easily swap some of the power picks (Super Speed for Fly and Combat Jumping for Hover) and you could have your flight powers included. One thing about flying and being Fiery Aura is that sometimes Burn will not work when you are flying. If you are really close to the ground it will work, but even if you are just a few feet off the ground, it will not. So being a flyer would add one more task to have to micromanage while blasting away! Just food for thought and why I would recommend getting rid of Fly/Hover and instead using a temp power to fly! But you can definitely still use Burn, albeit, it would just be a bit more difficult.
-
Alternatively, with little more investment (Positron's Blast, Doctored Wounds and Decimation IOs are also very cheap) you could get even more recharge and set bonuses for very little investment. You could fund these extra IOs with one or two KM ITFs if you do run those with teams. This would crank your recharge values up quite a bit and make everything feel a lot better for minimal investment. Sentinel (Fire Blast - Fiery Aura)Budget2.mbd
-
This is how I would try to fit in the Fighting pool while also going into the Fire APP. Cauterizing Blaze would be my first option to trim... Either that or Tactics if you really did want to add Flares into the build. Without the really good set bonuses there will be a bit of downtime between attacks when Hasten runs out. Flares would mostly eliminate this, even with minimal slot investment adding it in between attacks as filler would make your attack chain seamless. You'll notice I added a few sets in there. Obliteration and Crushing Impact are very, very cheap. I've seen Crushing Impacts go for less than regular IOs sometimes. obliterations are about 2 mill each but offer huge advantages to your build. Sentinel (Fire Blast - Fiery Aura)Budget.mbd

I suppose it depends on what you are doing. Not having set bonuses will make Fire Breath slightly more useful, soloing will make it even more useful. It's generally a pretty bad power though and I would actually recommend taking Cross Punch instead of Fire Breath, as weird as that sounds. You pretty much have to be in melee range for Fire Breath anyways and you do have to be in melee range for Burn. You can also slot a Force Feedback +recharge IO in Cross Punch (they are super cheap... 1 mill some days but on average about 2 mill) and it would give you a decent boost to your recharge without grinding for set bonuses. I'll share the build I made anyways, despite knowing that you don't want to farm for the expensive build. I'll mess around some more in Mids and see if I can come up with something that only uses the uniques you are using and then just generic IOs. I can make a build that includes APP attacks, has the Fighting pool, etc without set bonuses.. it just makes it easier to do if we are including set bonuses. Sentinel (Fire Blast - Fiery Aura).mbd
-
Glad I could share some inspiration! I was terrible at the quoting aspect, the suggestion about taking /Soul was meant for the OP and not you 😛 I just forgot to mention that.
-
I'll give it a more in depth look. One thing I noticed is you took every primary power. Fire Breath is terrible and should be removed ASAP. We could also get rid of Flares since you'll have so many ST attacks that having Flares becomes redundant and detrimental to you attack chain. Other than that, will you not be using IOs for set bonuses?
-
Do you mind sharing the build? 2 out of the 3 powers you mentioned potentially cutting are what I would consider "staples". We might be able to find a way to trim some fat by getting rid of powers that are potentially less useful! 😄

A few things here. I have multiple flavors of Elec/Shield and I have never had an issue with getting a Thunder Strike off when I am teaming. I absolutely nuke mobs with it when I run +4 KM ITFs. I also nuke mobs all the way from Posi 1 to Numina. Sure, sometimes you whiff... but that is easily mitigated with combat knowledge and positioning. I don't mean to sound rude.. but if you are missing almost all of your Thunder Strikes when teaming, that's a you issue. Even on the KM ITFs I've done that were sub 30 minutes I was clobbering mobs with TS. There is so much utility with Thunder Strike. You mentioned that you open up on mobs with both of your tele-nukes? This is super fun and I don't blame you for doing it. I do it a lot too lol and it's UBER fun! However, what Auroxis said is true and is how you should be engaging mobs as your opener. LR and SC, as you know, don't break stealth. Throwing in a TS right after either of those will maximize damage and help you juggle your tele-nukes more efficiently when you go from mob-to-mob. Thunder Strike also has way more utility than Jakobs since it has higher proc rates for Fury of the Gladiator as well as the opportunity to slot the Force Feedback +recharge proc. Utilizing TS when it is on cooldown while you have good mob density will shave off a decent amount of time on both of your tele-nukes. More tele-nukes = more fun and more damage. Stacking focus is still incredibly easy to do and when you are doing mass AoE damage, focus stacks aren't nearly as important. Outside of AoE situations, Charge Brawl, Havoc Punch and Chain Induction are more than enough to quickly stack focus. CB + CI alone can get you to three stacks in less than three seconds. I have the opposite issue you have with my Elec/Shield Stalker in that I am frequently overcapping my focus stacks because of how quickly I can build them up when I am in single target mode. All-in-all. A general PvE build with TS is much more useful than a general PvE build without it. DPA does not 100% depict this game accurately and how it plays.

Don't drop Consume, potentially drop Cauterizing Embrace. You don't have to hit targets with Consume for the +max HP buff to hit you. It gives you nearly 30% more HP on demand and is incredibly easy to make permanent. Cauterizing Embrace wouldn't be bad either, not sure why you need to potentially sacrifice so many good powers to make your build. Care to elaborate what you're trying to squeeze in? Fold Space + Fighting pool powers?

Issue 28: Page 1 Farming Microguide (Maps + Builds)
Camel replied to America's Angel's topic in Guides
For sure! This is the build 😄 The +res proc is always up once you get some mobs around you. You only need one stack to hit 90% res. I tested it on Beta server and if you have all 4 accolades and/or the P2W Survival Amplifier it is tough enough to survive Smash/Lethal AFK farms. I did have to go Agility Core Alpha to be able to get to 44.9% Smash/Lethal defense. AFK Tanker (Bio Armor - Radiation Melee).mbd -
Scrolled through Mids and I actually have a Bio/Earth/Soul laying around. Tanker (Bio Armor - Stone Melee).mbd
-
I know you wanted to go /Earth for theme... But might I suggest going Soul? Gloom and Dark Obliteration are a simple one, two combo power pick and they offer huge benefits. The issue with Bio Armor is that you need to take every single power, which makes your builds pretty tight. Bio/Stone/Soul still is pretty thematic, in my opinion. The dark, murky sort of look you get with Bio armor seems to fit really well with Soul. While dropping Fault isn't the end of the world (the way it does AoE damage is funky and it really only does damage 100% of the time if you have a multitude of procs in it), it's still a great power to have in your AoE rotation and it is the perfect place to slot another Force Feedback +recharge proc.
-
For anyone that is interested, I did a very minor change to the AFK build I posted. I swapped Proton Sweep for Burn. I know the intended goal is to AFK farm and that is what I do 99% of the time... But occasionally I spend a minute or two on these AFK farms checking things out, sorting recipes, chatting with someone if I invite them to the farm, etc. In these instances, I feel that Burn is superior to Proton Sweep and it feels nice to drop a Burn patch 😄 not necessary at all, but a minor improvement, nonetheless. Pretty solid looking build! One thing I might add, if you can find a way that feels right to you, definitely include Fusion in there for when you are actively playing! Slotting the Gaussian's Chance for Build Up proc is a huge boost to your damage when it comes off cooldown. Looking at your build, I can't see anything that can easily be swapped around for that to happen though 😛

I know, it shows they stack in Mids but only the duration stacks in game.. but activating any of those +recharge procs will also skew the numbers on damage proc rates slotted in your build, especially in the power that FF +recharge is slotted in. It's really interesting what having the power toggled on does. And if you have any damage procs in that particular power in Mids, they aren't separate from the FF +recharge. And for some reason, the FF +recharge proc is flagged as enhancement value. Unless it actually does decrease your proc rates in the game, which I don't believe it does.
