  1. Sillier question- did you try deleting the ENTRIE data directory, rather than just the texture directory? It's possible other mod files outside of the textures may be affecting things. We need to rule everything but the original game files out. Second question - have you had both the new launcher and the old? Or just ever one or the other?
  2. Silly question- have you all tried just wiping your data directory and then installing the maps via CoH Modder? Kind of curious how the files in that specific version of the mod would behave on these "problem PCs".
  3. ACTUALLY, I added it "for you" months ago based on our PM conversation that I'm not surprised was forgotten... as I was going through all of the old "mod threads" and trying to find pre-existing mods to add into the system... 😛
  4. It seems like not many people are interested in making client side mods for CoH, even with all of the tools that I provided to make it easier to figure out how to do so.... 😛 Perhaps CoH really is dead, and we're just playing around with the remains of its corpse at this point. It certainly isn't the explosive resurgence that I expected it to be after the source code was leaked, that's for sure... Hell, I'm pretty sure that the original Wolfenstein 3D from the 80s has a more vibrant modding community than CoH has. I wonder why...
  5. Did you have both the old installer and the new installer? It's possible the different directories might be getting confused.
  6. Have you tried wiping put your Data directory entirely and just installing using CoH Modder?
  7. Yes, at least the texture underlying the power's graphics. @therealtitanman has already done this with a few powers - for example he's done a lot of work to make an alternate effect for Time Manipulation that makes it look more like a Doctor Strsbge type magic circle.
  8. I suppose I could set a default starting directory. However, I wrote my tool so that it can handle multiple servers, not JUST Homecoming. Setting a default folder would, in essence, tell the user that "we prefer that you use Homecoming". Not sure I want to do that. And on top of that, at some point the users have to be responsible for their own experience. You can only hand-hold them so much.
  9. Doesn't matter, that's why I ask you where the CoH directory is, so you can run it from anywhere.
  10. What do you mean, exactly?
  11. Its pretty easy. You start the program, find Vidiotmaps on the top list, highlight it, click Install, wait for the install to finish, then start the game. The modder program doesn't have to keep running in the background.
  12. You can get it from the CoH Modder tool.
  13. FYI, there's now a V6 on the server, which I recommend everyone download. It contains an important bugfix to a bug discovered by @Grim Lynn, who as far as I'm concerned has earned this:
  14. Yup, it's from here: Join the "club", and you can download the Rosetta Stone Excel sheet, which contains EVERY game sound reference that there is, along with correlating information to help people find the sounds.
  15. It shouldn't have taken that long, I found it in about 30 seconds knowing what you were looking for in the Rosetta stone. This appears to be the only specifically female mace sound 😛 :
  16. Honestly, I think they got a bit lazy with re-using the same sounds for SO MANY THINGS. It's causing issues now.
  17. That's not a bug, I hate to say @Solarverse, that's user error. If you look before you try to click "Ok", it's asking you what program you want to use to open the file, and you're choosing Firefox, which uses Firefox to "open" the zip file, which then brings you to the download prompt again and again in an endless cycle. The program isn't doing anything, you don't even have it unzipped yet! You need to SAVE the file, and then unzip it with 7Zip. Unzip it anywhere, and then point the CoH Root folder to your CoH Root folder, and all should be well.
  18. What do you mean "click to update"? I have no update feature. There isn't even an installer. Screenshot?
  19. Please post the errors you're getting now, and what your CoH path is. Did you try clicking the "Fresh Start" button?
  20. Ah, yeah. You can't compile from source, because source is missing my FTP server information, which I don't include in the source code, I think for obvious reasons. 😉 The 7z file is just a zip format that's used by the freeware 7zip program. Go download it, and you should be fine.
  21. I just uploaded 1.68 that contains a bugfix. Try that, and see if it fixes the problem. If not, I'd suggest clicking the "Fresh Start" button.
  22. You can delete the Modder's directory (wherever you decided to put the program, as it can be run from literally anywhere), and just download the latest version. I stick (and look for) the mods in the [Coh root folder]\mods\ directory, so as long as you don't mess with that directory, and you point the new version of the Modder tool to your CoH root, it will find the installed and Uninstalled mods, no problem. And @SolarverseI'll get back to you when I can. Weekend time is family time for me.
  23. Could you please send me a copy of the "V4" file that you have so that I can use it for testing? It should be located in your "G:\City of Heroes\Homecoming\mods\installed" folder. Without being able to reproduce the error, I cannot resolve the error.
