Sounds like we need to get together and make something! :o

I've seen this before, especially from East Asians, when English is not their first language. I'm not saying that's the case with the OP, just that that's an interesting quirk that I've noticed with certain classes of non-native-English speakers... being aggressively formal so as to not offend.

Frankly, I'm already a full time programmer by trade. Anything that I'd make would be in my spare time, and I'm no good at graphics. This could take me MONTHS. No, if you've got the bug, you go do you man and get it done. I'm sure the playerbase would like something RITE NAO ASAP, rather than waiting for my fat a**. Besides, it's always better to have more options than less options. I think you should make your own planner as well. I'm going to be starting at the very bottom, working with the data itself, and make the tools that I can then use to make a planner "someday". Until I have those tools, that planner is a far off distant future. But once I have those tools, I'm going to release them, and maybe some people that are more graphically inclined can make prettier planners than I ever could.

Ah, well, here's where you can find the source code, etc. If you want to start digging into how to find/get everything. It's all here, somewhere...

We've got some hard and fast rules here on dealing with tough interactions users, most of which are common from customer service. Be nice, but firm. Kill them with kindness. Don't get drawn into arguments. Never say they are flat wrong, ask them to check again (useful for lost items). But none of them stand out as endemic to universities as this: Never ever get drawn into arguments with phil professors. Drop your information, and then walk away and do not respond to email arguments. You may think you are on the side of the righteous, but I promise you that nobody is as prepared to rip your situation apart and present it back to you as Joe from the Humanities department. Just don't do it.

Well, as I stated in "The Coding Thread", I was actually working on grabbing all of that data just for that purpose. But, as I also stated in that thread, it'd be a static value, and it may not be correct the moment anything changes. I've got the source code to one of the latest Pigg Viewers, and I was thinking of modernizing/debugging that into a DLL that could be used within any program to "DePigg" files, and then I was going to write an algorithm that would take an input .BIN file and "translate" that into a DataTable that could then be queried, but... ...Ideally, I'd like to make a planner that actually reads the data from the Powers bin file, but I've realized that since it's server side, and since there's multiple groups out there hosting servers, there's probably going to be unique files for each server. Add to that the fact that the amount of data is ENORMOUS, and that makes me hesitant to continue with my crazy scheme. We could do such a thing by setting up a website where server owners could voluntarily provide to us a copy of their Powers bin file to keep the data updated, and then make an interface that can let the user build based on their chosen server.... ...yeah, I think that'd be the only way to go, unless you're okay with "static" data that may be stale and/or wrong. I'm not okay with that, personally.

Or a Wilhelm scream. OOORRRRRR.....

I remember the first time seeing a Gravity Controller throw a dumpster inside a mission map - mind was blown - where the hell did that dumpster come from inside a cave in the hollows? Hammerspace

Knock back noise: "Ah! Right in the tukus!"

After seeing how hilariously annoying my glowie sound ended up being, I kinda want to make a mod that replaces ALL of the common in game sounds with sounds using the same voice and commenting "Jerry Lewis" style. Level Up noise: nasally "Oy! What's happening here? I feel dis surge of juices FLOWING!" Rage used: "Ow! Mein leiben!" Trying to use a power while you have no endurance, instead of that dinging "thunk" noise, you'd get "I'm spent" The possibilities are ENDLESS. Healing received: "Ah! Nice lady, like DE healz!"

Pick a server, any server, and you'll get a team. Or, better yet, run one yourself!
-
There's your problem. Turn off Ultra, and slide all of the graphics options down, and then you'll have GREAT FPS!

1) The EU server, Reunion 2) Nothing makes it a PvP server, that's why it's "unofficial". You don't have to PvP there, and you can PvP elsewhere.

It seems like a good idea and option. I'd hate to be the one doing the coding, but I can see adding an "Account Powers" option where you can choose from a list of powers that are bound to the account, that can sit alongside the "Character Powers" that are bound to the character. Sounds like fun, +1 here, because it's fun to daydream, and it is of course possible, but I think it'd be a hell of a lot of work!

+1 Inf for the perfect answer.

If you want more than a /JRanger, here you go: This is an opinion, and one that I do not share. I feel that the current aggro cap is the perfect level for "normal" gameplay. While Jack Emmert's "one hero = three minions" was wrong, I don't think that "one hero - 17 NPCs" is "extreme". As someone else mentioned above, talking about realism... in THIS game... is a fruitless endeavor where people will argue to the end of time while never coming to a satisfactory conclusion, so I'm not going to even jump into THAT discussion. And my suggestion is no, we don't need this. Because for "regular gameplay" (i.e. non-farming instances), I can perceive of no reason why you'd need to herd more than 17 enemies together at once. The "normal" game has a certain flow... attack a mob of grouped enemies, defeat them. Move onto the next one. This suggestion appears to me to only benefit herding for farming. And, since I'm not a farmer, I disagree with the need. And as far as "toxicity", I'd say that calling the developers' decisions "extreme" and "unrealistic" feels toxic to me, and made me react with an immediate negative knee-jerk reaction, since I respect and admire all of the developers, past, present, and future, of this game.

LMAO Nice! +1 Inf for Weird Al!

Anyone know how to read/see posts in the old forums?

Sorry, it looks like my algorithm was faulty, it's a "Microsoft Minute", because every time it finds a new "folder" in the Wayback Machine, that's a whole lot other files that weren't previously included in the calculations: And this is just the first step of GETTING the data locally. After that, I still have to make a program to "parse" it into a database format that's searchable. So, it's coming... Soon™ -

Why did I get a forced name change yesterday?

let us be the judge of that, what was the name? A Gravity/Storm Controller named 'Heavy Rain'. I like the name a lot, and it works with the character concept. It's completely inoffensive as far as I can tell. Maybe it duplicates something the GMs have planned or someone more connected than me liked the name and got it taken away. Either way, or if there's some other reason, I'd like to know. Well... it's an existing video game... so maybe that?
