I got a copy of the game during I6, had made a character and was running around atlas. My wife looked over my shoulder and wanted me to install it on her computer to try it out. After 3 days of "I'm still looking at it" I went and got myself a new copy. Thats why her sub was a week older than mine. We were running in the Hollows soon after and got invited to a frostfire team. That was what hooked us for good. We were on Infinity and got invited to a guild. Stayed until shutdown.

I have noticed on radio teams, when indiscriminate KB starts people leave. TY for the team, bye. You can replace them but there seems to be quite a bit of churn. Good or bad, its their choice too.

The devs change lots of powers for their own reasons. occasionally they tell us why. Some we like, some we dont.

The healer/buffer has the right to use their powers as they choose. its a 2 way street. when we accept the team invite, there is a certain agreement as to cooperation.

My first 50 on live was an Energy/fire blaster. This was long before IOs and I learned quick how to place my shots. I was on a regular team which helped. When my wife leveled her PB we all learned to squash quantums. We were like a well oiled machine by the time we hit 50 with that set.

On live I had a storm troller running hurricane that insisted on standing next to my stone tank in granite during an ITF. we asked him to stop multiple times. No joy. He tried the "dont tell me how to play" spiel. Told him "Ok, do what you want solo" KICK. he was quite upset.

The second mission of Katie Hannon, the one with the 10 spawns, the mobs prioritize killing healers if you let them live that long. Do the same sort of thing. If you set the BAF mobs to do something similar, repel causes every mob in a a large area to bee line to the repeler and kill with extreme prejudice, you could leave their repel working(but just on the mobs in front). Power still works, you just have to live with the consequences. I do like the idea of people using creative out of the box ideas and the devs not breaking them.

I am fine with adding new groups like last release. That gave content to more players. Changing the old game to suit a certain demographic is not fine. leave the old game as it was and add plenty of new stuff just makes things better for more.

then you wont mind if it is removed from all melee sets. since it works that well with inspirations.

The difference between the at's? Mez protection. A stun or hold tossed at a tank often isnt even noticed. against a blaster? major reduction in effectiveness or even death. Yes, optimal super IO builds can mitigate that, but normal builds not so much. Take away mez protection and a lot of at's wouldnt solo near as well.
