When the pirate expansion in swtor came out my guild leader had everyone NOT read the raid guides so we could "figure it out together" Since none of the mechanics made any sense together it was just a death fest the first evening. By the second run we got tired of massive repair bills and read the guides. Wow has gotten so many regular quests require you to pull up wow head to find out what the heck they want you to do. No thank you. we were happy when COH came back, lets not change it to a wow clone.

There is a contact tat will allow you to control the difficulty of the game. there is no need to change it for everyone else. adding enemies/attacks wont break it, just like removing some wont either. But it will change the way the game plays for others. using the difficulty changes isnt that hard and will enable you to do what you want. The first few tfs arent supposed to be all that difficult, although this has been changed somewhat by updates/ other changes. -

The problem isnt that it needs more difficulty, that is your invention. It is that it is tedious and long. What does adding some attack do to solve the tedious problem? absolutely NOTHING. Synapse TF is fine difficulty wise. It requires a level 17+(not 20).There is zero reason to change this as it would be detrimental to players using TFs to level. If you want synapse TF to be more difficult, run it on +2,3,4. Dont screw it up just to suit your desires. -

It is actually a simple concept. Low level characters only get a power every other level so they dont have the tools to deal with increased difficulty/mez etc. Repetition meand numerous nearly identical missions. Exactly how does adding difficulty to missions help relieve mission repetition? its a level 17 TF, it doesnt need to take longer to go through, it needs less bs missions in the middle. -

Its a low level tf. It shouldnt have this kind of thing. Characters dont have their tool sets at level 17 and most decent IOs cant be slotted. Challenging 50's exemplared down to do synapse is not a priority. -

Do NOT increase difficulty in low level TFs. not all ats/power sets can even begin to handle that. That is what I fear about the trend to increase difficulty for everyone, whether they like it or not. We have a difficulty slider, use it if you are decked out in full IO sets. -

Its amazing what we can accomplish with politeness and good behavior. In a lot of game communities this is forgotten. -

the drive for "moar harder" hasnt helped any one really. We havent seen the upgrades for sets like we used to, just a drive to up the difficulty of the game. -

I wish they came back for 2 weeks in june. -
but dilutes the playerbase. if it takes you 2 hours to form either type, those people end up playing something else. On the highest pop server, probably no problem. on others....it will make low pop even lower. If you dont want lower levels in...do the work. spend the time and let the people waiting know what you are doing. I know I would be pretty upset if I waited 45 min because someone was gatekeeping(their right as person forming the group) without telling me what the standards are.

Try doing an all illusionist ITF. lots of fun to be had.

Triple the inf/drops in story arc missions run at level. Incentivize people doing arcs. You cant run it over and over and you will level out of it pretty fast. It would get people leveling characters and flesh out the world.

Maybe if we quit this obsessive compulsion to "regulate" farming we might address other problems. The devs had no issue with helping hardmode farmers collect billions of inf with the prismatic aether. just let them play the game and let people have fun.- 56 replies

It is behavior that is very common on WOW. There is a mob that spawns in Hallowfall. It spawns every few hours when a zone wide change happens. everyone that tags the mob has a chance to get the mount that drops. There is no limit as to how many can drop for any one kill. People used to announce zone wide where the mob had spawned at that time, and wait for people to gather. Lately they just kill it and tell no one. there is no benefit for this behavior, just pure cussedness. This type of behavior is common in wow. It seems to be spreading to COH. -

That brings to mind a problem. My wife and I start the (for example) frost fire arc. we do the kill x number of outcasts. Talk to contact. he gives me the "rescue cops from trolls". she gets the stop bombs in cave mission. we finish both, and then he gives me the one she just finished and her the one I did. so much for being a team. -

I dont find ASF fun. It is a game, Katie hannon doesnt reward much at all, but its fun.
