  1. a couple of details that could be added... new powers: core attunement- tp to core after the minotaur defeat. that kills in the labyrinth cound towards kill badges, so very good for difficult to find or difficult/rare kill badges. i got the vanguard kill badge on my main without realizing i needed it. 🙂 someone mentioned earlier, and if i missed it already in your guide, a list for the different minotaurs (DB, TW, staff, etc.) needed for the mini-taur pet. (it is that, right? i am blanking 🙂) that's all i can think of for the moment. 😄
  2. according to the HC wiki, observers "can see stealthed and invisible heroes" and rikti drones, though for the drones i cannot find the text, other than my own experiences. drones and watchers need to be avoided even with my arsenal controller with cloaking device, which is equivalent to superior invisibility. according to City of Data, observers have a perception distance of 100ft. i have yet to try flash arrow, to see how much would help though according to CoD, it's range is 80ft... so that does not help much. 😕 added: i tested with my ill/rad, with superior inivisibility, group invisibility, and a stealth enc in sprint, and rularuu sentries and advanced drones could still see through the invisibility. there is no getting by them even with maxxed out stealth. though the rularuu sentries and drones could see me, the groups did not all aggro me when the drone, etc, attacked. interestingly enough, there are no nemesis snipers, so at least there is that small blessing. 🙂
  3. i went and leveled up my necro/marine MM, specifically to get Tide Pool and see how its pets react to it. getting close enough with pets on aggressive/offensive but not aggroing one way or another, when casting Tide Pool, nothing happens with my pets. they are not triggered to attack. so, this is a bug specifically on the NPC allies, even agressive pets do not behave this way.
  4. the enemies are not stealthed... what i had been testing on was a twinshot mission, 3rd arc 1st mission, and the boss is a girlfriend from hell, with a fallen LT, and a minion. none have a stealth. the other was montague's arc mission with Lady Jane, there are spirits with ethreal, but there were also groups with non-stealth powers having the same aggro effect on the NPC ally when Tide Pool is cast.
  5. ok, i ran that twinshot arc mission yet again... i realized that, since i am ridiculous, i had slotted the stealth in the wrong sprint power, so stealth was not involved in any way. 😄 i turned off all other powers, namely super speed (which i had not been using in mission) and assault (which i had). each time, i am standing just outside of their perception range, but Grym is always behind me, maybe 10 feet. i tried using tide pool without the macro but targetting the area around the boss, while also targetting the boss, Grym the NPC ally, attacks as soon as i cast Tide Pool. so, i tried again. this time i cast tide pool near the boss, while targetting Grym, and he attacks that area as soon as Tide Pool is cast. each of these different variations have been tried several times, it happens most of the time. i say most because sometimes Grym just stands there. but, it is not only Grym that behaves thi way, Lady Jane did the same thing. TL;DR... the bug seems to be that NPC allies will attack affected enemies in proximity to where Tide Pool is cast, they will attack even if the enemies are not alerted. Tide pool is a location AOE that does not alert enemies, but will draw in NPCs, initiating combat.
  6. the NPCs do not attack, they are in a passive/stand-by mode. that is until i cast tide pool, then the NPC ally attacks. if i attacked, the NPC ally would attack, as i would expect. but i am not attacking, i am casting a non-attack power, as demonstrated by doing it solo, where i cast and nothing happens. the bug is that they are attacking when they should not be. the bug is that they are attacking when i am casting a passive power, a power that does not initiate combat. they are initiating combat solely because i am casting it, for no other reason.
  7. no, Buttery Justice is only level 23, with SOs slotted in. if i am alone and i cast tide pool with a target macro (it's a location AOE), no one aggros, i can cast shifting tide next at my leisure. if i cast it with a NPC ally present, like Grym or Lady Jane, as soon as it is cast, they attack that mob i have targetted with the macro. i do have a stealth slotted in on sprint, but the mobs do not attack me when i cast alone. combat is always initiated prematurely by the NPCs when i cast on mobs. i guess to further test, i would need to try it without the stealth and the without the targetting macro
  8. ok, then why do NPCs attack when i activate tide pool?
  9. ok, i just reteted it with Grym, in Twinshot's 3rd arc and first mission. Grym aggros when Tide Pool is dropped, but not Shifting Tides as i thought. but, like i thought, Tide Pool does slow, though i am not sure if it slows while they are still passive or when they become aggressive.
  10. it will also do a cast animation if you are using a target macro and are too far from the target. i'll have to look again as to how what happens when you recast afterwards in casting distance.
  11. i like it too, but tide pool does slow and powers like tar patch or distortion field do the same, with exception of the -res in tar, and they aggro. i can see why not with shifting tides, with exception of putting in damage procs. what i cannot figure out is why the NPCs aggro when i drop tide pool on a target. they act like it is an attack. if it is a passive kind of attack i do not think that they should. i mentioned shifting tides, because it seemed like they did the same with that also. i'll test again with that when i get a mission with another NPC ally and the servers are up again.
  12. i have noticed something strange... i have been casting tide pool first under enemies with a targetting macro, setting up for my follow up attacks with my marine defender, Buttery Justice. But never does tide pool aggro the enemies by itself. i swore that i saw in the descriptions somewhere that it was an attack that the enemies do not notice. but when i go back i cannot find that anywhere. same with shifting tides, i'll put it on an enemy and they will not notice, which is not in the description either. this is all well and good, but i have been noticing that when i have a NPC companion, Grym or Lady Jane for example, that they will aggro on the macro-targeted mob immediately after the application of Tide Pool. normally i can initiate combat at my leisure after the application of tide pool and shifting tides, but the NPCs will attack as soon as i start with one. what am i missing here? should either tide pool and shifting tides be noticible attacks? or are the NPCs attacking prematurely, for odd mechanical reasons? ideas? 🙂
  13. the bug was not me dying, but me talking as a NPC text, which i am not sure is a bug or not.
  14. I was in the labyrinth, and in the secret monorail car. when i jumped out, since it was apparently my stop, i landed dead in the lobby. when i appeared there was a NPC text from myself, saying "it's time to wake up"... i am not really sure if this is a bug or if this is supposed to happen, but it was odd. 🙂
  15. no, i am talking tier 3 with premium costume effects like; ghost effect or flames effect. i am talking not the new stuff, but also tier 4 undefined (silver or evil) and the like. stuff like... ghost effect (from hc wiki) undefined silver (from hc wiki)
  16. could some people please post their costumes using tier 3 and tier 4 prestige costume pieces? i have no idea how to use them and what the final results would look like, i would like to see what the potentials are. but i would love to see how people have implemened them. 😄
  17. in the second to last Dr Graves mission, Grave consequences/ambush Dr Graves +1/1 with bosses, Crosscut has a gender confused text... Crosscut says "Surf Dracula said I could make you smile... he said she would play with me." My character is male gender, but i am not sure where the she comes in because (SPOILER) could only be the other she referred, which does not make sense. i am pretty sure the text should be "... he said he would play with me."
  18. yes! this was pretty much what i was thinking too... not always present, maybe tie it to some random event in game, like every 1000th portal in atlas, that would trigger the NPC. they would appear at the entrance, wander for 10 minutes, and then exit. 😄 the selfie with a hero would be great too! "oh $target, you're my favorite! can i have a photo?" 📸🤪✌️
  19. yeah, by this point it's a "secret" 😉(with the two pistol fingers and a TCH! sound) 😁
  20. can we have a wandering civilian NPC tourist wandering around in ouroboros, taking photos and making comments. comments like... "I wonder why I am not getting a signal here?" "Where are the toilets?" "Do they sell beer?" "Do you speak english here?" "Is there an ATM available?" "When does the tour start?" "It was the weirdest thing, I touched this golden floating thingy and suddenly I was here!" "Is the WIFI free?" 😁
  21. here's another that i cribbed off from a CC, and CC winner too, with some changes to fit my needs. it's not a costume for an alt, i mostly wanted it so that i could roleplay a dead cicada at the foot of my tree when the whim came upon me. it looks best in mini mode. 😄 the illusion works best if seen from behind. (and i am jumping...) 😄 me, roleplaying a dead cicada at my tree. 😁
  22. none of the other enemies from this arc have this problem. only Zephyr. they all went down confused, only Zephyr gets back up and attacks until the confusion wears off. you can even "talk" to him while he is attacking and finish the mission. the problem is that he attacks after he surrenders, no one else does this. this is exactly the same problem as from almost 3 years ago, and your response is almost exactly the same too. my point is that he's not working correctly, unlike the others... omnicore, crosscut, and even dr graves, they all go down and surrender, even while confused. maybe it is because he is an EB, unlike the others, but that is besides the point. if an enemy is supposed to surrender when they lose, they need to stop. i cannot think of any other time, with any other enemy, that i have had this happen, other than with Zephyr. it's a bug, not a quirk of the mechanics of confusion. besides to tell me that i should not confuse a +2 EB, while only a lvl 17 ill/psi dom solo, just before they are defeated is a bit silly. how else should i defeat them?
  23. i posted about this years ago, but i had it happen again. the same mission, find and banish Zephyr first mission and 3rd arc from Dr Graves, and the same enemy, Zephyr. none of the other enemies from this arc, behave this way when defeated while confused. but exactly the same thing happened, again. +2/0, Zephyr is a +2 EB. after all of the objectives are destroyed and Zephyr is weakened, he attacks one last time. domination was up and i confused him and wore him down until he was defeated. he switched from red enemy to blue friendly, falling over and surrendering, open to interact with and gloat over. But since the confusion persists, he attacks as an enemy while still reading as friendly. he will kill you, while you cannot attack since he is friendly. none of the others from this arc do this, not Omnicore nor Crosscut, etc.. but Zephyr will attack and chase you until your confusion wears off. this is not normal surrendered mob behavior. i filed the same bug report 3 years ago. not sure why he is different from the others from the Hearts of Darkness gang, but he is.
  24. Server: Excelsior Zone/Mission: MANTICORE_MANSION_2 [6.3 57.2 -681.8] i can confirm this. i can also confirm that it does not happen in the first arc, nor the third arc. i tried them all. so i am assuming that MANTICORE_MANSION_1 and MANTICORE_MANSION_3 maps do not have this geometry error. only in the second arc mission: complete proton's combat tests. you can fly/ around the outside and under of the room. if you exit the room by the door, you will arrive outside, in front of the door, as expected. 🙂
  25. i think it is as good as any... though it may be an oversight and not really a bug. 🙂
