well, still questioning my sanity and this is still a thing... i opened my still published mission, went to edit and got this... because after all the testing of this bug the last time and reaching the character limit, i forgot to shorten the souvenir text. so there are probably hundreds of players, ok maybe 5 players, that have an AE souvenir that looks like this... since the text bleeds off to the side... it actually reads... just like before... so... i wanted to know if anything has changed. to recap; if the text read "0.01%" nothing would happen when i would edit my mission and save/republish. (read the following entry) BUT! but, if the text read "0.01%%%%%" (because ridiculous) the editor would add "%%%%" to the souvenir text each time that it was saved. the following edit would it be "0.01%%%%%%%%%", etc... this geometric progression would add to the text each time that i edited and saved/republished the mission, even if i did not do anything with that particular text. it would only take a handful of edits before the text field would fill up to the maximum limit of 3000 characters. so i shortened the text to just one long line of %%%%%s, republished, and ran through the mission again. same thing, the souvenir has the long string again, though shorter than before. but upon re-editting, saving/republishing, it added more %%%%s, doubling in one go in the editor and the souvenir. you get the picture... suddenly my souvenir text gained some winter weight while i was just trying to edit, innocently. since AE souvenirs accumulate, globally, i wonder if there is a limit? ð just bumping this up again, since it is such a strange bug. ð -
i am assuming this is a typo/forgotten text and not a dev held hostage, but... (grant invisibility temp power) oh wait... every single one of these have the same text. what's going on here?

well that was easy to reproduce... i made the macro, did some edits, tested it, did some more, tested some more, it failed when it should have worked and when i looked at it, the hidden script was there in the text. but if i copy the text out of the macro editor, it does not appear when i paste it in a text editor, like here "powexeclocation target faux grant"... the only way to fix it is to paste the text back in. then the macro works as expected. (or fail since faux grant does not do anything... ð ) -
in a totally unrelated bug report i mentioned that i have occasionally had   being inserted in my macros while i am editting, after someone else mentioned it. @srmalloy mentioned that it was a HMTL code and it should not be appearing. well, i finally was fooling around with some macros again, trying things out and i got it again. it happens when i am editing directly in the editor, but i am not sure if it is because i am pasting in some text from a text document or if it is because i am doing multiple revsions of the same macro in the editor. i'll try some more, to recreate this when i have more time please ignore all the limitless radial freeeem because i was just messing around... ð

finally i reproduced the error that i was talking about, and i remembered to take a picture... ð (please ignore all the other extraneous details since i was fooling around) i guess i should file a bug report, but not sure what to file it under...

i do not know if it is me, but i find it really hard to see the cursor in account password field. in fact it is practically invisible. in fact, i believe it does not show at all. so, often i find myself not being able to tell if the cursor is at the end of my account name field, barely visible abutting up against the last letter, or on the password field, totally invisible. i hate to say how many times i have replaced/embiggened my account name or started typing the password only to have nothing appear because the cursor is in neither field. so i would kindly demand that the cursor be made a more constrasting colour on the white field for name and password. a nice sky blue or aquamarine, please! ð thank you! ð (see! i can do normal!) ð

if it was a small team acting alone, i believe it should have been rewarded, that is if it did all of the work. but if it was participating but with not enough of a contribution, that was probably the problem.

were you on a team or league? because if not, as with most giant monsters it is enough to hit them to get some credit, but not the associated badges. if you were solo or a small team that did not provide above a certain percentage of total damage, you get some of the rewards but no badge.

i think that is the problem then, since looking around for Boss_grunt i could not find other examples of a similar case.

yeah, i know... normally if i am solo, i totally would. but i was in the middle of a TF, not wanting to get everyone together for a group shot i did the print screen in the heat of the moment, totally not realizing that the UI was not showing what i wanted... so terrible action photos resulted. no balance, no harmony of elements, no dynamism! ð -

i have a severe case of altitis... over two servers i have 850 alts. in total i have about 30+ level 50s. most of those seem to get put on the shelf at about vet level 14, which means that they have at least a couple of tier 4 incarnates. then they get set aside for something else shiny and fun. one of my last 50s was an arsenal/trick arrow controller, that i played almost exclusively with no 2xp, and it took about a month to get to 50. it is still very playable and is at a vet level in the 30s. my main tank, Marvelous Chin, is fun to play and roleplay, his vet level is in the 50s. my main, Ridiculous Girl naturally, sits at about 205 vet levels and 1530 badges. she mostly sits in her tree, crafting and BSing on general. but to get to level 50 these days, my alts needs; 1) a good name 2) with an appropriate power set combo/AT to go with that name 3) must have a good biography 4) be fun to play i must have 40-50+, level 30-40s that are missing one or two of those must haves, and sit in a sort of permanent limbo. i probably have several hundred, level 10-30s, that are missing two or three of those qualifications. the rest most like are name inspirations, where i tried to make something work or needed to create lest i forgot immediately. ð but i am all for the name un-namifying (i cannot think of the right term) because i am too lazy to free up names from 700 likely candidates. ð -

hmmm... that's possible that the pet was too far away, i did not consider that. according to CoD, soul extraction has a cast range of 60', and an AOE radius of 80'. so if i cast it on something that that is 60' away and a pet is too far behind, they would not get hit and no spirit would be produced? i will consider that is the most likely scenario, until otherwise shown. thank you! ð -

i tried running the first mission of synapse solo, at +1/3, and i could not reproduce the bug. maybe my imagination? ð i'll keep my eye open for it and take pictures, i swear! ð -
i was on my lvl 39 necro/marine MM, Scuba Dave, running on the Synapse tf. the tf was set at +2, with a level 19 leader and a full team. set at lvl 19, i had; my lich, 1 grave knight, and 3 zombies. my MM had gained one un-trained level after the 1st mission. it was a kill most run, so we ran through all the missions, taking our time. i noticed that after i lost one zombie, when i cast soul extraction that i only got 4 spirits. this was normal and to be expected. but i noticed that several times later that despite having all of my undead menagerie out (all 5 available), that when soul extraction was cast i still only got 4 spirits. when i tried to repeat this later in the tf, i did not suceed in replicating this. since i was in a tf, i tried taking screen shots but i forgot that screen shots saved in the folder are missing all the UI. so i have a bunch of action shots that show nothing... ð i'll try later to reproduce this...

did you exit and reset? and did you change the settings? if so, did you get the same thing? were you on a team? were the settings 0/0? or was the team setting set higher, like 0/3? did you finish? did you get a screen shot? did you complete the arc and if not, can you reproduce this? -

i am failing to understand why this is a problem to begin with... why not just call him "Dutch" and move on? of my mercenaries, they are named after fictional soldiers, one is called "Beetle" after Beetle Bailey. i am not going to try and fit in PVT Beetle Alphonso Bailey, when the single name is enough to distinguish them for commands, etc. (note: i do not think his middle name is Alphonso... ð) as for naming conventions to simplify my macro orders, on my ninjas, for example, i have Idiot 1, Idiot 2, and Idiot 3, as well as Fool 1 and Fool 2. That way i can order the group of the individual if needed. Semi-Competent does not need anything special and i usually let him run on his own. ð

i was just going to say... supremacy has a range of 60 feet, but if i am remembering correctly, pets have a perception range of 45 feet? if my pets have gotten out of my supremacy radius, i have probably lost control of my pets. ð depends on which MM primary, but i mostly have them on aggressive, but a tight leash. for what it's worth, i never pay any attention to supremacy nor the pet buffs ranges. if they are too far, they deserve to die! ð -
