I so wish there was a way to "thumbs up" a post... I bet they were dupin' rares, too.

I like the name policy. I currently have 9 characters and none of them have over 3 days off line. Not that I play them all regularly, and I play every night, I just log them in to move them around to a new day job. Or check if they've sold anything on the auction house. With the not having to go back to queue if you log out to the character select screen, cycling through my characters takes no time at all.

I was one of those people who complained about ED when it first hit the servers. I don't think they explained the reasoning well back then. If I recall correctly, I thought it was done because Jack Emmert didn't like how we were playing his game. (He made a few nerfs because of that, so that's why I associate it with him... I could be wrong and even if I am wrong, I'll still blame him for it.) However, after playing with ED for a while, I liked it. It made me think about how to slot my character and how I wanted to play him/her.

Sometimes when I level up, I see a message that says "Translocation will have an additional slot." Since I only have mystic flight, there's no way for me to use those slots is there? I have to pick up Translocation to see them... correct?

I'm so glad I read this... I always thought options loaded keybinds until today when I looked in the options.txt file and saw there were NO keybinds.. go figure!

I started with CoH, but when Villains came out, I really fell for the writing. I love the stories and the characters. Before you could make Villain AT's on the blue side, I played more villains and I still feel that Villain AT's belong red side :) With Homecoming 7 out of 10 of my characters are Villains.

I didn't have a /Data folder, so I just made one and installed it... is that okay?

key binds won't load for me using the options menu... other people say it works fine for them... might be a squirrely process :(

I remember when someone first told me about it.. I thought it was HYSTERICAL. The tank ran the map and aggroed almost every mob with in miles and came back. I set off my energy blaster nuke and BOOM! I laughed so hard and then was like "AGAIN!!! AGAIN!!!"

Isn't "blind" considered a root? Or do I not know what a root is?

May favorite character to play was Kellie.. a little girl who was an ILL/KIN controller (the pets were her imaginary friends) Yes, soloing with her was hard until I first got pets.. but then she became AWESOME. I think she was the fastest to 50 and I am a solo player. However, she was AWESOME on a team. She was the first character I recreated on the new servers. so I can enjoy playing her power sets again.

Is anyone else having problems loading options from file? I do a bunch of keybinds changes from the options menu and then save the file. When I create a new toon, I've tried loading options from file and I get the message that it loaded the options from the options.txt file. However, the options are never loaded. I have to add all my keybinds in manually every new toon. I've seen the txt file and it is in the folder...

I just came here to see if anyone had logged this problem.. glad I'm not the only one. Mine are on the new Everlasting server. I am not going to log in one of my others in case they get locked in as well. I'll probably take a break for tonight and let them work out some issues overnight/tomorrow.

I am stuck at the Retrieving Character List screen.. so I guess there is a queue?

You are most definitely NOT the only one... this 54 y.o. man cried when the CoH Splash Screen popped up.. and then had an ear splitting grin all through character creation!

Every time I try to go to the Discord site, my PC crashes. Does this happen to anyone else? I can use it on my phone, but if I want to use the chat function, I have to use my PC...

you do not need to delete the Tequila directory. Create a folder you want to put the game in. I created c:\COX. I copied EVERYTHING that downloaded/installed from original installations, including the folders structure, into the COX folder. I opened tequila and there's an options button. Opening options button there's a section that says "Install path" and a browse button. I used the brows button and pointed to the COX folder. Clicked okay. Restarted tequila and it worked fine. I then deleted the original download after I got in the game and played.

Never mind.. I figured out what to do, I think.. once the server come back up, I'll make sure :)

I mistakenly just accepted the default folder when I installed Tequila. Now everything is in my downloads folder. Is there any way I can move this to another folder? Or do I have to reload the client, etc. Thanks!

THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!! I pay $15... oh, wait.. I don't pay anything... never mind.. carry on! ;) Seriously, thank you for what you all are doing. I'll take a some "Lost Connections..." and rubberbanding if it means I get to play in my home away from home again!

I find it humorous that the game is telling me my video card is out of date, especially since it's better than anything I used to run the game previously!

Good point. My suggestion would be to constrain everyone down to maybe 3 character slots during the first week of release, then roll out more later on. That'd give most people a decent chance at claiming their most cherished identities while keeping the squatters at bay. But then how I am going to test every new character power combo and remake all 32 of my old characters??? That's not fair!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAH! (j/k)

I was thinking the same thing as I played last night... I automatically got the VIP badge and prestige powers and thought my character was too new... Then I realized, I played for 8 years, I deserve these! :)
