Well the other 50% of the time I see 2 instances available. I'm going to start always picking the higher one going forward. Maybe in your example the zone had just opened? I mean someone has to be first in a new instance, right? That could very well be, but I would assume if a new instance was needed it would be AP [1], since the original AP wasn't there. I don't know how shard creation/maintenance works because for the longest time, there was only a PI 4. when the game was live, I never remember there NOT being an original zone - not numbered. I've just found it easier to choose the highest and I tell my teammates always pick the highest zone when exiting so there's no confusion as to where we are. I tend to find the highest to be least populated. But, that could just be my luck :)

Oddly enough, last night on Torch, there was an Atlas 2 and Atlas 3. This was around 9-10 pm. I went into AP3, because I always choose the highest instance, and it was dead. No one was at the P2W vendor and maybe one person near Ms. Liberty. I was surprised it was a ghost town.

I forgot about the defense boost in hover... I just don't take it anymore.. and now I should for my squishier characters. While I would like to fly faster, I understand why I can't and am fine with it. There is very little risk with flight and therefore, I feel, it should have some downside compared to other powers.

THAT I did not know... I must have missed that part of the lore somehow...

Even better: DISMISS THE GORRAM PETS. I mean, it's not like it's really that big a deal to resummon and re-upgrade them when you get to your next mission. Trust me, MM is my "thing", my main on Live (and the only character I ever managed to get to 50 on) was a Robo/FF Mastermind, who was created the very hour that CoV launched. And believe me, nowadays it is SOOOOOOO much easier to resummon, and then upgrade/buff, your henchies ... seriously, those powers are now AoE .. "back in the day" they used to be single target, and MMs would slot their upgrade powers for bloody recharge, just to get back to fighting quicker! If you're in the safe, police-drone-surrounded part of a zone, right next to a trainer? You don't need those pets. Do the right thing, do the polite thing, and tell 'em to go get a cup of coffee in the Henchmen's Waiting Room or something, while you attend to your Very Important, Actually-a-Player business. They'll understand ... it's in their Union Contracts, after all. I have a bots/FF as well. The moment I leave a mission, I dismiss my pets. simply because if I travel anywhere, they'll probably aggro a crap-ton of mobs and/or die along the way anyway.

You could, but the point is that the natural progression of the game means you miss out in these guys unless you specifically skip mercy content to go to them. +1 I remember doing all of these contacts back when the game was live (not all on the same character, but I always had to do one of them). I know I have skipped them now because of the double xp boost...

You could get the arcs through Oro, no?

I'm odd, I know.... I play redside and blueside, but I can only make heroes with the CoH AT's and Villains with the CoV AT's. They may cross over to rogues and vigilantes, but I just can't make myself start an AT in the "wrong" side.

I *love* my bots/ff MM. It's the only MM I ever took to 50 on live. The bots are so damn cute.. especially the Tier 1's clunky walk/stomp. Since the Tier 2 already bubble everyone, getting FF as a secondary only feels natural. You bubble their bubbles and the overlap is incredible for their survival. I actually like the repair power. It has come in handy when the tier 2 is too busy to repair another bot.

Ahhhh.. so it does suck. I'll just have to respec it out.

I have slotted Photon Grenade with 1 lvl 25 disorient and 1 lvl 25+ Accuracy. I would say 95% of the time it does nothing (this is just a visual check, not true numbers). Is this power bugged? I think I should disorient more often than what I am getting...

Do remember that siphon speed is a mob centric power.. it does miss on occasion, even with an acc in there... but not enough to really hinder my playstyle.

I didn't think it was in live. Thank you. I play with a friend who will not hit civilians in bank missions. (He also won't kill the guy who gives you the arc about killing his longbow lover that spurned him.) I do it just because it's funny to watch the people crumple en-mass, plus you get a badge! It's not a right vs. wrong thing for me because I know I could never do that in real life.

Did civilians lose their invulnerability at some point late in the live game? I remember you could always target them, but the first time I shot at one and he actually fell over I was actually quite startled. Then I used an AoE to clear them out of the way inside the Bank, so yeah I got over my shock pretty quickly. To be honest, I don't know. If this was something you could do in live, I would have remembered. Maybe it's an I24/25 badge or the Homecoming Devs added it for fun?

There are already quite a few missions where you do fight a superhero rather than (or in addition to) a standard enemy faction Boss, including every mayhem mission (redside safeguards only instead of protecting the bank you rob it - much more fun). Just the other day I fought Flambeux in the Atlas Park Bank (I guess she must have heard the call while he was at Wentworths...) Other than heroes showing up working alongside (but not part of) Longbow and the like, there's also heroes of the Rogue Isles, like the Sea Witch, who you can fight as a boss in a Port Oakes story arc and then again as a (really tough) Elite Boss in Sharkead 10 levels later, and of course the big names start to show up once you hit 40+. Overall I think redside compares quite favourably to blueside in this particular respect. Darrin Wade's Arc has at least 2 that I remember: Kadabra Kill and a woman I can't remember.. and his first mission is tough!

Well, I think Mayhem Missions are MUCH more fun than Safeguard Missions. You can be a true villain there and mow down innocent civilians.. Plus you can get a badge for doing it! :) Civilians have the HP of a wet paper towel, one aoe can't take out a dozen as they "run for their lives" :)

Mine's at 48 and I love him! He is like a blaptroller. So much fun. I do have to watch out because sometimes I feel invincible in the middle of a crowd and I am suddenly reminded that I am still a squishie!

Flypose does indeed work with Mystic Flight. I use Flypose2 for my main. I should have come back to say that it does work. The bind /bind w "+forward$$e flypose2" didn't SEEM to work because I kept holding the W key... but then I realized it works AFTER I release the W. So now, I start forward and then press R and the pose works fine.

I have an Ill/Kin and I believe that once you get Siphon Speed on your kin, you don't need Hasten. I've never chosen it for my character and I've built her twice now.
