  1. For those late to the thread. Not that what i think affects the game but: I've agreed on having all costumes peices unlocked for everyone it doesn't change my personal view point. I personally look forward to earning new things so I can then make something, Instantly getting costumes I want is boring to me, but I understand not everyone is like that. Insight: I play dark souls as a deprived, but cant expect everyone else to. So, I'll comprising and take everyone into consideration as best I can : A new story arc is released about an ancient sword that is sought after by CoT, along with the sword as a costume, and both a temporary power and a permanent power version of that same sword where, when used, you character pulls it out of a dimensional portal, holds it in the air, and lightning strikes in a aoe around you. 1- The costume is free for everyone 2- The temp version is for sale at the p2w vendor like many other temp powers but its ( just a random number, don't freak out) only good for 10 uses. 3- The permanent version is award to those that complete the story arc. This way (1) costumers aren't stifled, (2) people cant claim I'm wanting to set a new precedent on Homecoming by having new powers locked or something of that nature, and (3) those of us who want to work for it can get the same thing as everyone else at the p2w vendor, except since we put in some extra work, we don't need to refill its power at the p2w vendor. I'll make this an update on my first post.
  2. I think the variety is good, and I enjoy the aspects both have brought to the sperate power sets I've used, like super reflex or will power.
  3. Good idea! Hat guy gets hats, sword guy gets swords, and everyone still gets there costumes! Just got to make sure it's not such a big stat difference so that people feel they are forced to get it.
  4. Jet packs are already kind of permanent, they just run off inf. And I don't want to make fly obsolete 😞
  5. Right? Haha. So maybe temp powers. For instance, they release a new sword costume peice, but also release a new story arc where, after finishing it you permanently get the sword temp power where, when used, your character holds that sword up in the air, and lightning shoots out around you for an aoe attack!
  6. Maybe it's just that I'm running out of things to on my main and costume pieces aren't there as an option I used to have. I didn't really focus on it as much when i had IOs to get. I slept horribly, so maybe I'm just tired, but maybe I just want something to strive for and the current options don't seem as cool as Vanguard Prime. I'll give titles and temp powers a shot and see how it goes Hey! What about pemanate versions of temp powers being an unlockable? Like, you can buy temp versions of a vanguard jet pack, or finish the story arc and get a permanent one? It's like a functional costume peice. The costume peice is already free, you can get a temp version from p2w vendor as many times as you want, or strive for the permanent version?
  7. Imagine if, when playing zelda, link actually just has the master sword the whole game, but then when you get to the stone the sword is and pull it, you get 'Achievement unlocked - you've acquired the master sword!' Isn't that a little silly? Or imagine in borderlands if every gun was already in your inventory and instead of getting guns from chest, you got badges. Could that be expected to fill a loot hunters need?
  8. Always hated costume sets that were unlocked with money. Don't forget about the loyalty rewards. And as a whole coh was not like those games, but it did have some parts like it and I loved the little they did have, as did many others I've met and have known. That's why I'm only asking for a little, and not even hardcore requirements, because it was a part of the game that I loved.
  9. Oh dang. I hope you at least had a good laugh haha. Knowing me and my wife(no kids to play games with) we probably world have tried to finish each other off and the have the winner make dinner lol
  10. Maybe its because I grew up on games that didn't have achievements or badges. In elder scrolls morrowind I didn't get a badge for finding the golden katana, I got a freaking goldbrand! When I pulled out the mastersword out in zelda: link to the past, I didn't get an achievement pop up, I got the freaking mastersword! I didn't have to set my own goal and pretend that an item I already have I dont really have until I finished a quest. When I found and reforged the moonlight sword in kingsfield 2, I didn't get nothing, I found and reformed the freaking moonlight sword! ( yes i love swords )
  11. Exactly my point. Imagine if you could at one point in time, and you enjoyed doing that, but then all of a sudden it was removed and when you ask for it back people tell you you shouldn't. That's what costume unlocks are for many of us.
  12. But you still did it all within or overcame the set boundaries in the game that everyone else has to play within or overcame. Costumes right now have zero boundaries (even tiny ones) to overcome and only certain npc items set off limits ( thankfull for that at least, although I'd be okay with them being earnable)
  13. That's only because the pot wasn't allowed to be there. Sometimes I want to be my own pot of gold, sometimes I want to find a different one.
  14. Sometimes I set my own goals, or achievements. Like how the two alts im working on aren't allowed to PL (Reward - I get to see some of the story the old devs worked hard on) Even though other people can still power level, they still HAVE to lvl. Just because they got it faster than me and skipped story dosen't mean they didn't still earn it within the boundaries of the game. (Instant lvl 50 would be no boundaries, and therefore no fun and I would be fighting against that too) But sometimes i dont want to invent a goal and I just want to work towards a goal set by the developers where the reward is something cool, and where everyone else in the community has the same opportunity to get that same set of reward options and are held to the same requirements to achieve it. Badges just aren't as cool as costumes.
  15. Can I still have a sword/costume peice after? Even if no one else can see it, I can still see it and It'll signify that I over came your task, especially if it's cool looking. But other people can only get it from you and no one else can see it when they've gotten it. Unless they find a way to unlock the hidden aspect in the future, then so can I unless I'm not able to achieve it, then I can't. Even in single player games I'll hunt down all the cool items and maybe not even use them and just have them displayed in a weapons case or on a mannequin. Some times I climb a mountain just to see if I can. I don't show off to people when I earn cool armor or weapons or climbed the mountain. Not everything needs to give an award, but there should still be something that do
  16. Maybe add GM tracker as a police radio kind of thing? that can give you an update status on current GMs active and the section of the town last spotted in? That way it'll point you in the right direction without giving the exact location away, and it fits into the game without breaking immersion. At least that's how it works in my head haha
  17. Bwahahaha. I was thinking to recommend adding then on steam could make it way easier too
  18. Oh really?! Haha I didn't know that, that's cool! Although I bet confusing haha. Ive never ran In to that, although I'm just now exploring first ward on a character. I'll have to make sure and get a team going! 😄 Was it annoying in a bad way, like having mobs outside first ward dojng it would suck, or having it happen every once in a while could be interesting?
  19. What about an enemy in some groups that could anti taunt? Instead of forcing you to target itself, it forces you to target a team mate or youself? It could be like a mez or stun that will wear off or can be broken/protected against, except if not careful you could harm your team, or maybe yourself? (Envisions punching self by accident - chuckles) Would that even be possible?
  20. That's some cool info I just learned, thank you for sharing!
