was running Radio missions with my friend Sorbet on Sunday and we picked a few Council missions... every other attack seemed to be FREEM!!! It seemed to do extra KB/KD and a bit more damage But we know a song about that, don't we boys and girls?

I'm simply contributing to an extant discussion offering ideas and alternate options. I'm not getting dogmatic about it just putting things out there as possibilities. If I'd felt passionate about it, I might have started my own suggestion thread. As for your second point, I think it might have greater validity if the player base was huge, but in a small community, there are fewer "Random Strangers" by default. I see this entire thread as a discussion not as an agenda or direction of action. Of course I have preferences but I am entirely aware of how limited resources are with our small volunteer team but that doesn't mean every contribution should take the dev team's size into consideration. This is more of a distillation process if anything at all. Throw ideas into the pot, see what might, would and wouldn't work and take it from there. I didn't say that it would be preventable (except that a one-player SG is very unlikely to get a memorial, and possibly we should be afraid if it did) As @Rudra pointed out, grief is very personal, but I know from my own experiences in other online environments that it can be heartwarming to see how a community has responded to the life and passing of others and seeing those tributes can be quite moving, so having those spaces in the public domain is arguably more beneficial than having them in a micro-base where they would be likely seen by only a tiny section of the community. There's a reason why cemeteries and graveyards occupy some of the most prime real estate globally - that is part of human nature. Tucking a memorial away seems less worthy than not having one, but that's just my thoughts.

I'm not requesting it, so much as suggesting an option which is a significant difference My thoughts of forum threads and SG bases is that by far the bulk of the player base doesn't use the forum and SGs are very often single player or micro-SGs for tiny groups and their alts.

Personally I think if somebody had a passion for this game and played it then who would we be to deny them an in game memorial? I take the point that some players made a greater impact than others in game, and (at least some of them) are recognised with their avatar in game. I think I generally speaking trust the community and dev team at large to make that call. We trust our devs with everything else regarding this game including our PCs, so why would this be different? We're a better community than I think you credit us for here.

Posion - Venemous Gas Suggestion

I've made this point many times over the years. The beauty of this game is that it can be played many ways. I figured that was kind of inherent in my post. -

I have done so and my pleas seem to fall on deaf ears -
Interesting. How would a player know this if they didn't read the forum or the Wiki?

Russian infantrymen just need a stick - many went into battle effectively unarmed. You probably do need Commissars. Also in the Western theatre, air warfare was of significant importance. The Battle of Britain and the Strategic Bombing Campaign both had huge impacts on the outcome of the war so why not some air brigades with fighters (scrappers with Fly?) and Sentinels for Bombers? -
Perhaps what would be great would be a "Memorial Wall" somewhere in neutral territory, with clickable plaques. These could be a description of our fallen comrade, their main characters and the location of their avatar in game and why that is significant to their story. That could even become a "Memorial Walk" where interested parties could visit all the avatar locations. (No badge, just for its own sake)

I don't think you've made a case here, just statement -
Posion - Venemous Gas Suggestion

That is very fair comment. I think one of my big problems with poison traps is that it's stuck to the ground and a specific location - I found that many of my best Poison toons take hover because they are above the fray, and so it is additionally tiresome when you have to disengage hover just to park the trap then click hover and relocate. This is not just a problem with poison but many ground based powers. It's more of a problem with hover than the power itself in that you can be at zero height but if hover is on, you can't use the power. It's almost as if Devs Hate Hover 🤣 -
Posion - Venemous Gas Suggestion

It would make tanks way too powerful. I agree it's completely underpowered as a PBAoE toggle Personally I'd like to see the last couple of poison powers reconfigured Paralyic Poison underwhelms - but there are game balance reasons why we should keep it Poison Trap is useless and so is VG. Make VG a gtaoe that pulses in the same way that Lightning Storm does but pulses gas that sleeps/holds enemies But then you'd need to do something with Poison Trap, which is also sucky. I'd advocate for a cone spit that is untargeted (like the Vorpal Incarnate power) so it goes in the direction you're facing and anything in the cone is hit with a corrosive venom that does damage and reduces defence. -
Stylistically there is a good argument that some of the more melee oriented MMs (I'm especially thinking of Beast MMs here) deserve a more melee focused personal attach chain. The downside of that is it might leave the player vulnerable to high powered ranged attackers, especially at lower levels. The only realistic way to fix this would be to offer "Melee MMs" and "Range MMs" - so the non-pet powers fit that category. Claws instead of Hawks for example. While that idea might be great on paper and enjoyable, I fear it would be a huge amount of work for a small volunteer dev team who are doing a remarkably good job with the resources they have. I just can't see it happening. The alternative; to get a choice of powers for all MMs would be unthinkable.

try using drumsticks instead! -
That happens in many cut scenes. Probably the Lambda is the most obvious when Marauder does his braggart thing and then gets his arse handed to him. On live I didn't get the whole Romulus thing because the Nictus empowerment was off screen - it was really badly scripted and presented - it was like a Wizard Did It scenario. We didn't see the nictus itself empower Rommy it was just this huge beam of filth that transformed him from exit stage left pursued by a bear. The updated scene is a great improvement but my perception is always tainted by that fundamental failure to show, not tell.
