I read a lot of history and I'm struggling with the Thirty Years War, currently. It makes no sense to me but the standout in most accounts seems to be the (third) Defenestration of Prague in 1618 when three worthy persons were forced to exit, unwillingly, through a window 70ft high. Strangely they apparently survived by landing in a pile of waste.
This seemed to be the catalyst that sparked the 30 years war but let's not get into that because then I'd have to explain why the Holy Roman Empire was not holy, was not Roman, and wasn't really an empire either so... as nomenclature goes, it was very wide of the mark.
However, I got to thinking tangentally and then it occurred to me that could never happen in our fair city because even the most potent Knockback is thwarted by the most feeble of objects. That and the fact there are precious few windows through which a body, villainous, heroic or simply unlucky, could travel.
This isn't really a suggestion, but I was reading this and (as I say, tangentally) imagined Lord Recluse exiting Grandville Tower unconsensually at great height and wondered if it really would be possible. It's truthfully more of an idle musing and thought experiment but I figured I'd share it with you since it made me smile and I hope it does you guys too.
