  1. Just looking at a second hold. 2 holds will lock up Paragon Protectors, Victoria Robots, and help with Minds of Mayhem and Hami in LGTF
  2. I am actually looking at this very thing in MiDs right now lol. When you use Cryo Freeze Ray to you get redraw or does it use Beam Rifle?
  3. Thanks for the feedback. But melee is not an option. That Crackle is evil, as is the Blue patch in TinPex. So the secondary has to do its work from range as well. Possibly Beam/Temporal or Beam/Nrg?
  4. I am looking for a Blaster.....with a "particular set of skills" I am currently using a Ice/Cold Corruptor for my SGs Incarnate badging and general high level madness. But I am looking to make a toon with one job....do very very well at keeping DPS on a hard target that does things like CRACKLE or Battle Maidens BS patches of death, etc. The build must have an incredibly hard hitting ST chain. Preferably with -RES and / or -REGEN effects. The toon will be working as part of an 8/16/24 group to put down hard targets. period. I am considering things like Beam Rifle but have been told I may want to consider Fire!!! Any thoughts and suggestions are appreciated. Unlike many of my concept driven builds this is all about game mechanics. (other than I do not like to personally heal or buff) I would go Corruptor if that worked better but I suspect Blaster will win out. Again, Fully Ranged high damage build that works well with a group to put down the big HP blobs of the world. Thanks.
  5. Monday, February 14. Google is your friend.
  6. i do not give "unsolicited advice" i have been known to answer a question, sometimes even getting the details correct in my response. recently had an SG member apologize to me. i was like "what for?" they were like "you were right about this thing and i thought you were wrong and blew you off" meh. i am an ugly old bag of misery and am often a bit off on my details. no harm, no foul. honestly i did not even notice the event sometimes, when the right tone of whine creeps into game chat or the message boards, i will dispense pearls of wisdom. this might be considered unsolicited advice, to the ignorant, yet it a response to a quest for information. even if the person posting has no idea what they really need advice on when you get as old as me you understand these idiots need to be thrown a rope. if they choose to try to make a boat out of the thing there is not much you could have done. it's a rope you idiots!
  7. I would guess that Excelsior would give protection against cold in the same way it protects against pain. Freakshow might be freezing but they do not seem to notice. Complete guess. Excelsior is a metaphysical compound and there may be something deeper at work
  8. I honestly like this better than my thematic dark/dark/soul. The buildup on that is way more suited to melee. But Dark/Psi/Soul has to be the winner The PBAoEs in Psi pair well with the Dark Nuke. Joust in Boom! Then jump out and cone madly! And Psi gets ANOTHER cone lol
  9. The new thoughts on overcapping Res since Dr Aeon. Has been discovered that Resistance value is in fact “debuff resistance” for Resistance. So if you are at 100% S/L resistance for instance, even though hard capped at 90%, you have 100% resistance to any minus resistance effects. So when I build i do not mind bobbling up to 100 on the S/L. This was true before but got discussed a LOT more since Dr Aeon
  10. More than 16 targets? Waddya get? Another dead ‘Troller that’s deeper in debt. Ms Liberty don’t ya call me ‘cuz I can’t go… I just popped a rez to get off this floor…..
  11. Good catch, i used neither. They are placeholders for D Sync Hami Heal/Rech
  12. I finally 50d that mad solo all content project Brute, a Dark Invul. I still have a lot of solo work to do on him 35-50, 40-50, 45-50. But I am teaming on him more now. I run two builds on him currently. One for solo/stealth and as a "damage dealer" in a party that does not need a Tank, or when the Tanking is easy. One for "buckle up they are coming for your liver" Tanking. Both these builds are derivative of Hyperstrikes builds. Any genius credit goes to him. You can give me credit for any unforced errors. 13. We have a game. The Dev staff cares. Even from the perspective of a negative life sucking Redsider I am struggling to find a downside here…. Oh you want more shit and arent getting it fast enough. (Not meaning the OP, just general complainers) Wait, no, that is funny. Still not a downside. Anything else?
  14. and for time on character click on any NPC whose name starts with an "M"
  15. Oh yes. Good point In general when doing this project whenever you are given the option spare someone’s life rather than kill them. It rarely affects things but sometimes you need the contact later. If you kill them they are gone forever. That part is irritating
  16. By going through Ouro you can do every mission Goldside (then first and night naturally). You just pick an alignment 5 times for one badge and choose the other at least once. Lot if chances though. So many. The missions themselves are all in Ouro for both loyalists and resistance and you need them ALL for a badge
  17. Part of my motivation for doing this harkens back to my Live Redside runs and those were at default +0/x1 no AVs. This run was at -1/x1 and no AVs. I used P2W everything. Rather than no inspirations (which i cannot see how you would struggle through) I would suggest +0/x1 and maybe a Blaster if you are comfortable with that AT. It would be harder in some places and easier in kill alls. If you are good on a Blaster. Definitely a challenge. Good Luck with whatever you choose
  18. When boosting a set of Purples I am curious as to the effect when you exemplar down. Do these still stay "attuned" is the +5 basically squished in relation to the rest of the enhancement value squish 1/1, or does the +5 go away at 49?
  19. There are a few "styles" of building that you will discover lead to certain sets. My type of building is not favored by the boards. I like building for ranged defense on squishies. This leads to a lot of thunderstrikes Bombardment and Artillery on those toons. 6 slotted, 5 for Bombardment. So...no procs. very unpopular. Those sets have rech and acc as well. Very different style of play to most sledgehammer builds. For melee I like to run Invul and Dark. For Invul I start with Hyperstrikes templates. For dark....I push for MORE resistance. Unbreakable guard, winters, purples, Obliterations
  20. First....I will NEVER do this again. (unless I win the lottery and retire lol) I have regularly done this Redside only since back on live. Once or twice a year. Love Redside, best side. Gold is hard. (done through Ouro but everything is there, as I levelled as soon as they opened.) First ward and Night ward are very well done. Blue...Blue is stupid. Just bone headed dumb. Kill 40. Go kill 40. Now go kill 40. Talk to bob. Now go kill 40. In 40-44 range they keep sending you to PI to kill Carnies or Malta. Which means you have to keep cleaning two ships (about 6 spawn points) in hopes those mobs spawn. So really it's a "kill 200 w/e is down there" many times. The endless find 12...or 20. Then after you stealth that "oh, it's a kill all..." Some...some...interesting stories. But just old positron writing drug out to dune Trilogy writing instead of a short story. Did I mention Blue is bad? (and the contacts smell their own farts...) I will do Redside again, although probably not for a while lol. But the whole game? I always wanted to climb this mountain. Now that I have I can honestly say. "Damned, that was stupid."
  21. Sigh. I am a Redsider so was very unfamiliar and tried for the badge. Turns out you do not need to save the slow walking idiot to get the badge (i have it now) just wake up the ones lying on the floor. The second failure was a find 12 hostages in an Oranbegan map. It was timed and I had a serious commitment. I spent 45 minutes and could not find the last guy. I hate Blueside
  22. I have taken a Dark/Invul Brute and (stopping experience) soloed every contact, for everything they offer. Red, Blue, and Gold. But this is only the halfway point. Since there are a LOT (and I mean a ton) of content that can be done at 50 without out levelling I have left that for 50. Statistics: Enemies defeated: 82, 665 Tasks completed 2,407 Tasks failed: 2 Grrrr, just F-ing grrrr Flashback arcs completed: 77 Reward Merits earned: 4,170 Reward Merits awarded: 5,154 (I believe the discrepancy is zone merits, GMs, and weekly TF bonuses...?) Hours on character: 533 Badges: 1,090 I had saved up 13 Transcendant Merits for this day (started mid Oct) and once I 50d I did the Ramiel arc, then had my farmer work a couple hours and open all incarnate slots. He now has T4s in everything (two T4s in Destiny) Wish me luck with the rest of the project. the pressure is off now, and i will be moderating my storyline content on him. I will keep a steady pace, but not grind.
  23. Talk to your Doctor or Pharmacist about ED. You really do not want this crew's advice.
  24. Comic book physics and effects obey their own rules. Sometimes this is consistent throughout the genre and other times very specifically odd for a given power/powerset
