Having a hard time completing the Superior Scourging Blast set as the one's I am missing aren't up on the AH. Is there any other way to get them? Nvm, I thought catalysts were only for turning normal set IOs into attuned, but apparently you can turn the normal ATOs into superior. Wish I knew that earlier, because ATOs go for around 8 Millions and superior for around 20 - 25. Catalysts for 3,5 Millions. Do the math 🙂 Well, I am almost done, 3 Apocalypse enhancements to go and then I am done with the build I am Veteran Level 28 now.

First I had a normal PI Radio Mission with Councils, but now I am doing the second Mission from Unai Kaimen with the open council map. I guess Freakshow might work too and will get you more exp/drops. Prior to Level 50 I was teaming 90% of the time, just doing normal content. I did one MSR at lvl 49. I had 2XP though. I am doing a mix of farming and working on normal Story arcs atm.

This happens in the Elite Boss Tunnel farms. You can't recive rewards from them. If you turn bosses off you get normal bosses and recive rewards. So EB farm are only good for exp.

I agree, over the years the community of MMOs has grown quiet toxic. If you ask me, it started with WoW and Barrens Chat. CoH has still a very friendly community. And if someone is being a jerk (e. g. in help chat) there are several people to bring such indiviudals in line. I never experienced jerks myself, just the ocasional bossy emp that thinks the teams can't work without them (sorry good emps). I use player notes a lot. I rate them and make notes. But most of them got a good rating from me. I noticed some extreme lazyness from new players and the "want it nao" attitude. Some even don't read the menues or basic stuff and want everything handed to them on a silver plate. I usually reply to those "questions" explaining how to get/look up the information they want. We have to work together to keep this a good and friendy community. It doesn't happen on its own (not anymore).

I did not slot any other sets, since I thought this would be a waste of money. I am slowly getting there, I miss one purple set and the 2 ATO purple sets. I got Alpha at T4, others at T3, but almost at Clarion T4. I think now that I am comfortable with +2/x8 (I think I could go higher, but I want to clear fast), farming my favourite map is netting me more money/recipes/salvage to sell than just stealthing tip missions at +0/x1 (for quickness) for the 40 merits. At least it's definately more fun and I did get 3 purple recipes to sell so far. This will my first fully Incarnated, fully build char. I had a Ill/Rad with perma PA on live, but incarnating was a lot slower. This build is so much fun and I like that it can do good solo and support.

Not sure what is more important, getting all incarnate Slots to T4, or getting the purples. Got them all at T3 now, might run a mish or two with exp disabled.

I cleared a Carni Map at x8 without being held. Makes me happy, still only finished one of the Purple sets, 4 to go. I tried some of the market guides, but they didn't work out for me, so I am mostly running either on Teams or stealthing tip missions for the Merits.

Well my Stj/SR Stalker can probably survive x8, but not really clear all that fast. And as I said I am nowhere near the final build.

Really, really happy with this build. Though I only have finished one Purple set, and not fully incarnated even (Hybrid still needs unlock, others are T3), I was able to run Ephraim Shas dailies at x8. I am really impressed.

Auroxis I wanted to say thank you for sharing your build. I just hit 50 yesterday and I still need the ATOs and purples, but so far it has been a smooth ride. Will take me a while to get the missing IOs but as you said, the build is very good at it's core and I am having a lot of fun on Teams.

Yup, I'm not surprised... Storm > Cold when you're fighting AVs at +0 at least up to +2. Probably +3, maybe +4. Well, at least in DPS output. Pre-incarnate, with Storm not having a great +Recovery power like Cold, maintaining a constant attack cycle is hard due to End management when you have to constantly put up high-End powers like Tornado, LS, and Freezing Rain. In my charts, Controllers were by far the highest DPS against AVs. Wait, not by far... the highest, but MMs and Defenders weren't all that far behind. The "damage ATs", however, were far behind. The reason is that DoT and stackable -Res powers helps more in longer fights, while the up-front damage of Blasters helps more in a 10-second spawn beatdown. For sustained DPS, Controllers are great... for burst DPS, they're terrible. Blasters are great in burst DPS, but only average in sustained DPS. For sustained DPS by a damage character, I would expect Stalkers to be ahead of Blasters and Scrappers. Can't find that post, but the overall AT top DPS is Street Justice/Super Reflexes stalkers. Over 600 DPS, Pylon dead in under a minute.

This series of mission leads to some of the best things ever, at least it was in the early days of CoH.

Hi all I decided to write this mini sum up, because I have been on several groups in the mid 20s, where people weren't able to buy their DOs/SOs or common IOs. They weren't even aware that they got salvage drops. I never wrote a guide and I am by no mean an expert, even though I played CoX since launch, but wanted to shared what I do to get some starting money. After Toon Creation I head over to the P2W Vendor to get the double exp bonus and some veteran attacks (Nemesis Statt, Magic Wand, Sands of Mu etc). You won't get any influence drop at 200% bonus, but that doesn't matter. Head left from there and kill some Hellions, usually around 6 - 8 and you will be level 2. Get another attack at the trainer. It's optional, because we have veteran attacks, but it can help. Now head over to the AE building and do some of those Elite Bosses Tunnel runs (just search for Tunnels), but keep your heroic difficulty settings. It needs to be set to no bosses, so you can earn tickets. You will get normal bosses, no EBs, but you can earn tickets that way. It usually takes me 3 - 4 runs and I am level 12 and can slot DOs. Head to the ticket vendor and roll for one random common salvage for 8 tickets. Sell this one to the inspiration vendor for 250 inf. Now you have money to list something on the Auction House. Take the remaining tickets and buy rare salvage. This will usually sell for 400.000 - 600.000 inf. Now you have enough money to buy your level 15 DOs. Take the remaining tickets and roll for level 20 - 25 common tech and magic salvage, so you will have that already, when you hit 22 and can mostly craft you common level 25 IOs. I usually just buy the recipes on the working bench, but that is up to you. By the time you hit 22 you will have enough money for 25 common IOs. Those will not go red and you don't need to replace them so you will save money in the long run. At levlel 12 I usually slot 15 DOs and upgrade them at level 17 so I can be of use to my teams. But that's up to you, I heard some people don't slot anything until 22. Just keep selling rare salvage that you might get as drops on your way to 22 and you should be golden. Bear in mind that I am not a new player, so skipping the first levels to 12 is not an issue for me, but might be for a new player. If you don't want to run AE you can just sell the salvage you get on your way, you might be lucky and get a rare drop.

Not sure if I understood your guide correctly, but this doesn't work for me. She isn't in my contact list anymore (I already finished her arc) so I walked up to her but I can't do any Mission for her. What am I doing wrong?

Not as much as you would think. I play a Street Justic/SR Stalker and when I solo I often run Tips, where I need to detoggle hide, because of hostages. It's no big deal, but then again I made my first Stalker 3 weeks ago and I am not playing the old way and opening with AS. I tried a Stalker when CoV launched but couldn't stand the game play. I play my Stalker more like a Scrapper.

Any Dark Astoria Misson in a team. I can solo them just fine on my Stalker at +3. I decided to join a team doing them the other day and wow does this makes a difference. I ran a StJ/SR Stalker with softcapped defenses, but they took me down pretty fast. Those missions get ugly the more members you add to the team.

That isn't correct. If you mean the alternate build you can select at the trainer, you choose it and can immediately train to whatever level your primary build is at (so if level 50 you can immediately train to level 50, just like a respec basically.) It is correct you have to enhance it with all new stuff. Really? I didn't know that! All the stuff I had read basically said you have to level it up from 0. So basically I can make an alt and pop it to 50 and I just have to buy enhancements for it? Cool! Does it get it's own set of respecs and free costume changes? No, you cannot make an alt and it be 50. But you can have a second build for your lvl 50. It will also be 50, you just need to pick your powers again.

I don't like the dark zones, but I do like the Story arcs red side. But I don't enjoy playing the bad guy. My toons are all vigilante though, so I can play both sides.

Any AoE with Tar Patch.

QFT Played Earth/Rad on live, but do enjoy Earth/Nature even more.
