  1. and it should show up in august.
  2. this could have serious ramifications for the hc espionage community...
  3. increasing mission rewards will only encourage the speed runners to speed thru those arcs without giving the other players the time to appreciate those arcs in the first place. I won't be mad about more merits but increasing co rewards would also make it easier to accidentally out level contacts for those that are interested in the slower story driven approach, no? no point to trying to trick people into following the story if they just wanna get Incarnate power ASAP.
  4. Kheldians no fx suggestion was certainly the funniest recently imo. maybe the GF debate(s)?
  5. for what it's worth: in a hypothetical scenario in which there were time and resources to dedicate to it, alternate versions of already extant powersets is a great idea. it's only in the practical world that we have to consider the likelihood of Brand New sets to be a greater priority. a world where one katana scrapper focuses on an iaijutsu technique while another uses an usagi tactic would be very cool.
  6. ty for your service.
  7. if You aren't using melee or even PbAoE, the defense value for Hover will only matter against range, it effectively makes You unaffected by melee in most situations. but keep in mind that Hover without Evasive Maneuvers is basically like pulling your own teeth out. sober.
  8. burning body, Light my Way ❤️

  9. this game is a comic book that You are writing. it's handy to have the options to win when You think your character should be able to, and You can use other options to make your character always lose if that's the kind of story that You like telling ❤️
  10. i keep my map open and pay careful attention to Who is doing what, and i am always taking note of Who follows instructions, Who is repeatedly dying, Who is roleplaying, and I make heavy use of notes in and out of game. i also track what other teams are doing! i use multiple accounts and the character Friend list (doesn't need permission!) and /Whoall to track other people's teams. your business is my business 😃
  11. that's what i would do if i were You, too! to address the broader topic: i often haunt PvP zones to lay in wait for badgers (not Badgers) and temp power collectors because that's the only people that really visit those zones, and they already gave me permission to ambush them by entering the zone. but after I kill them, or they kill me, or they escape to safety, i like to send a tell asking if they would prefer that I don't harass them. i don't have to do that of course, but the Truth is that Owls are exceptionally Friendly and Polite and only feckless liars and woke-scolds have ever said differently ❤️
  12. this is an easy one: because by playing the game You automatically consent to all interactions that are possible and not explicitly disallowed. just so everybody knows: in this game other people can affect You with their own powers. because many people are annoyed by particular powers, they gave Null the ability to exempt yourself. thereby the onus is clearly and always on the player not wanting to be affected by a power that by ordinary standards works by default. i also hate being affected by GF. thats why I tell Null to exempt me, duh.
  13. the differences between morality and ethics are very important when they actually come into play.

  14. imo, the set needs Soul Transfer or at least Tenebrous Tentacles otherwise it doesn't even feel like it's doing it's job right. i was really excited when i first heard about blasters getting this set, until i actually looked at the power selections. it would be nice to have something that could compete a little more seriously with Fire Mastery...
  15. story arcs are fun when the writing is decent and when solo, but teams move too fast to get a chance to really appreciate things. the problem isn't that the rewards are too low on regular contacts, it's that the rewards for power leveling are just too high...
  16. no! do not change! firstly, life often imitates art and this is just another amazing example. secondly, we should not be so eager to 1984 ourselves by diligently editing all media of the past to scrub it of anything that could possibly be construed as wrong think by "our" "modern" sensibilities. let us have less political interference in our games and private media consumption and not more. lastly, it's hilarious. city hall doesn't want You to know about it, but Galaxy City isn't sending us their best and if i am elected mayor of Paragon i promise to build a War Wall to keep our neighborhoods safe from the flood of Galaxy City Gangbangers that Blue Siders want to see taking your radio missions and screwing up the auction house.
  17. zoroastrianism has winged goodly spirits, and the norse have their valkyries, but besides that winged humans is a pretty particular and specific understanding of angels. but i guess that would be fair enough considering that the minions from Demon Summoning all look like the same bog standard "horn headed beastials" look instead of a broader (and better...) variety to accommodate a greater range of interpretations.
  18. imo to keep concepts as open as possible and to avoid biblically implied power creep, I would suggest keeping the angels as generic as possible in regards to specific denominational paradigm or ranking hierarchy, similar to how Demon Summoning is handled. perhaps some 'lil motes of golden Light or ephemeral pillars of Fire that fire beams of energy that inflict -tohit for T1, some mysterious robed figures with ranged in and some kind of res or dad buff they can cast on the mm and fellow minions for T2, and reserve the model with wings and a fiery sword and burning crown or an Owl's eye surrounded by interlocking circles and triangles for the T3, a melee powerhouse maybe with some kind of damaging aura. while the instinct might be to give angels some kinda healing or ressurection-like powers, let's not forget that typically they are seen as destroyers and messengers first in most mythologies, and are the original source for the demonic in abrahamic traditions...
  19. this idea i think solves for the problem of willing beneficiaries of Group Flight moving outside of range and falling, but i think it would actually enhance it's griefing power because then I could just fly around shooting random passers-by instead of having to follow them around if I want to force unwilling participants to spurn the earth. of course, they could probably just cancel the buff if the prefer to condescend to the ground below...
  20. okay but what if i want to hover but I don't want my melee pets to hover?
  21. i am all for putting more powerful weapons of mass destruction into the hands of those with the Vision and Will to put them to productive use. however, I don't think they should be any easier to get than they are now. my hope would be that if the warheads were more useful, people would be motivated to visit Warburg more often and the current method of gathering nukes can be a good way to provoke PvP action 😃
  22. ty tundra for agreeing with my brilliant and insightful point ❤️
  23. i love this idea conceptually, and in addition to the structural issues and naming convention details mentioned by others might I suggest not leaning to heavily into the whole "demons harm, angels heal" shtick. abrahamic lore has some very interesting tie ins to this game already (if You Know, You Know) so the addition of angels to counter the influence of the demonic is apt! however, they aren't truly opposites of one another and unfallen angels are still very much capable of violence and death so much so that it could be argued to be their primary purpose before healing the wounded. and before anybody wonders if an angel set would mesh well on Red Side, i can totally see sime crowley inspired magician binding angelic forces for their own glory...
  24. costumes are a form of technology. is anyone with a cape technology coded, or is it just that we live in a technological society and so a lot of elements of technology aren't exactly considered to be "super" and are so mundane as to be common. not everybody that picks up a screwdriver has a technology origin!
