honoroitisfantastic Would you pvp for prisms?
Owl Girl replied to honoroit's topic in General Discussion
i think a better way to say what i was trying to say: the reason a lot of people don't like pvp isn't because the rewards aren't good enough. there is no drop you could add that would make people enjoy feeling like they are being 'pushed' to pvp. but there is a lot of social tools you could use without taking up dev time that actually would get more people to pvp. they're so obvious that i'm sure Nobody needs to see a list =P- 140 replies

I am so glad this game does not have this in canon.
Owl Girl replied to LegionAlpha's topic in General Discussion
it's a weird thing about this universe: there aren't really any 'street level' heroes because they all end at the point of bending reality and getting something close to 'ultimate power'. you might have conceived the character as a Natural Dual Pistols/Martial Arts guy with a kevlar vest... but you're going to end up shooting lightning bolts and bringing people back from the dead! -
honoroitisfantastic Would you pvp for prisms?
Owl Girl replied to honoroit's topic in General Discussion
i actually enjoy lurking in pvp zones, but this game isn't really designed around or balanced for pvp i don't think. lots of very fun characters and builds that are just not going to be able to be competitive without a lot of help from teammates, and it'll generate hard feelings. i'd suspect that the aim is to get more people involved in pvp so that it'll be easier to find some action when you're looking. if that's the case, i think the best method available rn is to find other likeminded individuals and set up a time when you can all meet up and have a lil' fightclub or whatever.- 140 replies

i just googled 'biblically accurate Owl' and the Lord provided ❤️ you can really just put 'biblically accurate' in front of any search term and get some good results but i will warn you: think carefully before searching for 'girlfriend' under those parameters...

so first off, i think that option is just there for a laugh and i seriously doubt that anybody has ever clicked it. and in the case that they may have accidentally misclicked then they could be thankful that the Canon Narrative ignores this mistake. i will remind You all that you can do Penelope Yin's task force whenever you want even if you have yet to discover the PsychoChronoMetron and expose it to her dreadful thoughtform when she was still just a plucky teenager. and yet Agent G insists that you go thru the whole process anyway, even tho history has moved on already. if you've ever visited Owlborous then you know full well that the causality of events is not set in stone. anybody may seize control of the zeitgeist 😃

this is my fault for not specifying. i sort of assumed we'd all envision this as functioning normally for team and league mates.

Aaron Thiery. it could make for a very fun Vigilante story where you do a prison break to rescue the only man in Paragon with the nerve to push the corrupt and indolent "heroes" of Atals Park into action, separating the wheat from the chaff. it could tie into Warburg and end with a bomb plot on City Hall (which side You are on depends on the agenda of the tf leader...) ❤️

if it's a programming constraint then maybe we approach the problem another way: do You know that temp power "shadowy presence"? what about the opposite of that, and it just turns off the transparency effect of your powers? i'd also like if my invisibility powers worked on other characters outside of PvP situations. right now it's the worst of both worlds: everybody knows i'm hiding in that bush, but they can't see my fabulous costume.

yes but that's probably the most difficult way to access the Greyside story arcs. you'll have to defeat Dollface in the Dr. Graves arc using the secret big-brain method to prove that you really have slipped the leash of the Archons and are ready to think *outside* the box. a Friendly hint: why would You do something in response to a thing that You know isn't even real??

Blaster Rifle Animations for All* Ranged Damage Powersets
Owl Girl replied to Herotu's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
i'd really like the reverse of this, too. i mean like magic animations for rifle and beam-rifle attacks. a character could be a cyborg or robot that has weapons hidden in subdermal pockets, or a hyperdimensional primordial that disintegrates their enemies with qlippothic energies. -
yes, that post worked perfectly. that's exactly what i wanted to have happen.

okay okay i think this thread is getting derailed! if we absolutely have to talk about non-Owl related suggestions, can we at least keep the topic to suggestions which would allow players to more realistically create mousegirl characters?? i realize that the developers never really explained the Owl-mousegirl connection (something to do with Portal Technology i think?), but since it apparently goes all the way back to carvings found at gOwlbekli tepe you would imagine that they at least planned to use them more in the future. i know they drop a few hints of the lore points in hidden places (sound files, unused costume pieces, AE npcs) but i'm not yet familiar with CoD format so i haven't hunted down everything i'm sure. asking for a friend 😃

all i'm asking for is some parity with Bunny and Cat options. Girl Owl is waiting!!

i Love this game and one thing that has always struck me as being really weird is how even though they play a major part in the main narrative and are referenced repeatedly by the NPC's involved, there are almost no powers or abilities that directly reference Owls! i have a lot of ways that we could correct the problem that maybe weren't possible to implement with the technology available when CoO was live, but some of these will seem like obvious oversights. the lack of Owl appropriate bird heads has been discussed so we'll assume that one is in the works, but: Prestige Travel Power - Owl Shape we have a travel power that turns you into a panther, or a coyote. but what we need is a travel power that will let You fly and i humbly submit that an Owl would probably be the most palatable appearance choice. also you should not be able to move your eyes independently from your head while using this power. Chest Symbols - the Judge's face there's falcons and crows but no Owls! if You try, it's possible to sort of replicate an Owl face with the right combination of chest details, but only the wicked can see it so it's sort of a buzzkill. would also be acceptable as a shield symbol i guess. Lore Pet - Aaron Thiery while i realize that not everybody does the arc where you break him out of the zig and add him to your gang, none of the lore pets require any special unlock conditions. could give him some of the powers from the Owl Technique pool set. Easier entry into the Owl Zone: greyside would probably get more players if it wasn't nearly as hard to gain entry as cimerora. the whole 'this is a dream and you are in a coma' thing is hilarious, but maybe just make it an optional arc instead. i thought the 'talking Crack in the Wall' was a graphical glitch instead of an npc the first dozen or so times i passed by it. i feel like a lot of these are pretty obvious and don't really need a lot of explanation so i didn't think it necessary to go into details since You undoubtedly have noticed a lot of the same Strange gaps =P

this is meta gaming and i am extremely offended

i have so so many Owl-themed suggestions that could really improve this game and i'd be eager to share with interested parties. for example: Owl Blast set and also Owl Technique power pool ideas. please direct any questions to me directly in game 😃
