Nah. Faultline is far from clean and friendly, and people loved when that zone was revamped into its current form. Striga Isle? Okay, cleaner than the Rogue Isles but not exactly Atlas Park... Still, I hear no complaints about it.

Ehhhh... vigilantes are sorta heroic, but not everyone wants to be a vigilante.
  7. Has anyone tried putting together a Gun Control set yet? 😎

Increase red side population? Easy. Put hero missions over there. Face it, more people want to be heroes than villains. Red side could have the best content, but blue side is heroes and people want to be heroes. Well... most of us do.
  9. I was a weird mood creating characters today... something fishy, for sure. Fish Head Street Justice / Invulnerability Scrapper
  10. Sea Horror Water Blast / Plant Manipulation Blaster
  11. Yup. There is another server out there that does the freeform thing (although limited to powersets available to the archtype), and I built an AOE monster of a blaster Almost every attack power that I took was a targeted AoE or a PBAoE damage, with 2 aims and 3 build ups, plus some utility powers for good measure. It was hella good for soloing large groups since the player population is low... but ultimately I found the appeal a little lacking after a little playtime and getting bored with it.
  12. No one will have to get the accolade on any of their characters. IF you want to get it, you will get the benefit of the Long Range teleport power without having to take two other powers in the Teleport pool first. And the limitation on this is that you can use the long range teleport accolade to only teleport into zones where you've collected the exploration badges. Some people have been talking about it like they have go through every zone and acquire every exploration accolade and it's a huge inconvenience... and it makes me wonder if they even had 3 powers of the Teleport pool devoted to their build on every one of their characters. I've got a few hundred alts, with a good portion of them being level 25 or higher, and the amount of teleporters among them has been pretty limited. I also know everyone's experience and perceptions are different, though, so maybe the teleport pool really is that important to everyone and I've just been overlooking it. But for myself and all the people who play similar to how I do, the long range teleport change will essentially be a free power to use now on most of our characters, and those that have teleport for some of the other powers in pool will still have one slot freed up that they can devote to something else. As for the enterbasefrompasscode command... I don't think that the devs don't want us to have the command. They just want to limit it somewhat so that it can't be used as an escape hatch. The command will still be available, but you now have to use it within a certain distance from a base portal, whether it be a static one in the zone or a temp one that you put down with one of the many powers described in the teleport changes.
  13. Well, that is your choice. But the abuse of the power was that it could be used as an instant escape from combat (setting it up as a macro for a simple click to avoid dying). So even if it's out in the wild, that doesn't mean that it has to or should stay out there because it offered convenience outside of that abuse. It was always going to be fixed, it was just a matter of time before they found a workable way to do so. Personally, I'm glad that the enterbasefrompasscode still exists at all, allowing people to put a passcode on their base and allow others to come and go. Base teleporters to everywhere is all fine and good, but I like the creative aspect of it. So I'm fine with the current change since it doesn't take the option away completely.
  14. The enterbasefrompasscode will STILL be present. The changes make it so that you can't just use it anywhere. You need to be near a portal... so all of the special teleport powers are giving you a portal you lay down anywhere and then use the enterbasefrompasscode command.
  15. The Oni is a metahuman in need of a mentor just like any other sidekick. And your Batman is the best mentor choice he has, because despite whatever powers he may possess, it's about the skills and how you use them. So your Natural origin Batman is training a magical/mutant/science/tech-based powered hero. This is not strange at all.
  16. When you're that far out and away from a useful exit, just drop an Ouroboros portal. There are so many ways to get around now. Travel powers are getting to be like character flavor. Also the Long Range Teleport accolade... you don't have to get every zone available for this power to be useful. Just make sure you have it at a staple travel point... like Atlas Park. Handful of badges to grab while running around doing some early missions or even just street sweeping. And then you'll be able to teleport back to Atlas from anywhere, then take either the train or the Tunnel portal or access the SG base or go to RWZ. Plenty of options is all I'm saying. And people are complaining that they won't have instant access to everything anymore when it was never intended for that access to remain in player hands.
  17. There are always other explanations. Maybe not every origin reasonably fits with every power set... but a little imagination can go a long way.
  18. Robotics Critic: Those are obviously tech robots. Me: No, despite their appearance, they are living synthetic beings and are more accurately described by the Science origin. Other Me: My robots are mystic automatons that may look like modern appliances but are definitely Magical in origin. Beam Rifle Critic: Well, that's definitely a tech weapon. Me: You mean my soul-crystal powered ray gun? Uhh... sorry, my friend, but this is a magical Beam Rifle. Other Me: Well, yeah it's tech... but it's not about the tool but the person using it. I'm all Natural origin... just like that guy who uses a sword as a tool. Zombies Critic: Zombies... good old magical necromancy practice. Me: Excuse me? Are you demeaning the years of mad science research that went into perfecting my reanimation formula? Dead is dead... until my Science origin hits it. Other Me: Yeah, I raise the dead. But it's not magic... it's just my mutant power. Demon Summoning Critics: Demons! Magic!! No excuses. Me: These? Nah... just really awesome animatronic special effects tools for monster movies that I've repurposed into walking weapons. Other Me: Haven't you seen Doom? Science demons!!! /em evil laugh
  19. I came in to see that this was complaining about the lack of Spectrum options for flat boot options, or missing from gloves under some options (like shirts or jackets, I think) and ready to show my support. This is just a case of the existing options not being where expected. There really needs to be a search option for the costume selection screen for each ccategory.
  20. Maybe what we need is a base teleporter beacon that can take us to Ouroboros. Or another in-game shortcut to be added like how the House Hunter badge in Night Ward gave people immediate access to the Midnight Club without having to run the university missions. If such a shortcut were added, where would be the best place to put it?
  21. I don't see the problem with this. Yes, there's extra time involved if one wants to acquire all the badges for all of their characters. But as a bonus for this necessity, the power is now available to everyone and does not need to have Teleport worked into their build to get the power. And really, are there people with so many characters with all of them having teleport on it to begin with? I think the compromise works just fine, really. And there are so many other ways of getting around now, even with the base portal access being restricted to being near a base portal to use the code. I am happy to see 99% of these changes implemented (but still 1% sad about the reduced time on the Ouroboros portal duration).
  22. I don't see it as a problem. One, I specifically tried NOT to make it "magic" specific, letting players decide what's what for their own characters... and while elemental is a heavy theme, the suggestions I made weren't entirely elemental. But I chose to blend an assortment of things without a unified VFX theme because spellcasters typically have a greater range of abilities than non-spellcasters because magic lets them tailor their power to a situation. A caster's powers aren't his individual spells, it's the power to cast spells. Dr. Strange doesn't have virtually power available as his powers... his power is the ability to manipulate magical forces by drawing on all of the different spells he has access to.
  23. I'm okay with all of the teleport changes, however, I am a little sad to see this one: I remember the days of player-organized beach parties where people would drop O-portals on top of each other to create bonfire effects. Lasting for five minutes was nice because they would linger and every now and again, people could just "toss another log" on to the fire when it started to dim with portals blinking out. Having to refresh every 90 seconds will kill that vibe.
