I have been testing this ice/dark build on the beta server. It's plenty tanky enough, killed the ITF ambush in the first mission, Banished Pantheon in Dark Astoria, Carnies, Archnos... But I am sure there can be improvements. The point of the build is to hold as much aggro as possible across as much content as possible. I thought two taunting auras plus darkest night for pulling should be enough. Darkest Night is also useful to survival against nasty psi mobs.

If you don't know about this, it speeds things up considerable. You still have to the do two respecs.

Are you using binds for the AOE targeted powers? Binds allow you to get your powers off faster. I have binds in the first post of this thread.

I am just running through all the debuffs, then Dual Pistol attacks, nuke first. A fully slotted flash arrow is critical and must be maintained on all mobs, but don't forget about the -damage debuffs. You have to be very active to maintain everything. Definitely, not a relaxing build.

Alas, most of the AOE garbage. Still more options stalker though. The ranged mace attacks are low damage and have other issues like knock back. VEATs crits are 2/3 crits with a 10 second re-hide, not 100% crits that stalkers and scrappers get. Stalker re-hide is 8 seconds and the awesome re-hide ATOs. Bane melee attacks will do as much damage as the scrapper mace attacks if you factor in the full dots that Bane mace attack do. Of course, scrappers pull way ahead because of the constant crit chance. IMO Banes at the point are great team play chars, but are much weaker than Widows or Fortuantas. Still decent soloers, as are all VEATs. They hit like trucks which is fun.

Control-F5 worked, even though I had hit the page multiple times in Firefox. Chrome worked on the first time. I will run those steps before I post an error next time.

First, I love your website! So, informative, it has helped me so many times already. There does appear to be an issue with Trick Arrow.Disruption Arrow across all ATs that can use it, Defender, Controller, Corruptor. This is the child of my Trick Arrow defender and Fortunata. I am familiar with Psychic Blast, but the revamped Tactical Arrow, not so much. What are your thought on slotting Glue Arrow and ESD Arrow? And any other suggestions. I am hoping the AOE from TA will make up for the poor AOE in Psychic Blast

Nothing jumps out as wrong with your build. Are you getting beat up by particular enemies at 4x8? Arachnos/Carnies/ITF can debuff your defense pretty nastily. Remember your scaling resists, you get harder to kill as your HP drops. This take a bit to get use to, because it's very different from other ATs. -
I have tweaked my existing build and recorded a "Trapdoor" run. An excellent time is under 5 minutes for a scrapper. Most high damage builds are closer to 6 mins. I could probably get mine close 8 mins with practice. Still happy with the damage. Build:

Enough with you high damage types. Here is my Trick Arrow/Dual Pistols defender run. Averaging between 8:45-9:45, depends a lot of the randomness of procs. This is my first video. So, there might be mistakes. -
I just wish the travel powers, TT, Mission TP, ATT, etc, wouldn't reset. I don't think that would be game breaking.

I was trying to test something on the beta server, but I get this error when I log in: Wrong game version, run patcher and reconnect, server 20210523_4383, client 20210507_4 I know mean I should update, but the launcher says it cannot update and "Check for updates" has no effect. Live is working normally.

I have been watching the mind good/bad debate for more than a year. Now, that we can stream again. Maybe a video of Mind Control is action would help clear the air. Someone could run the Trapdoor test and post their video. One of the runs recorded is a fire/fire/fire dom with a good sub 6 min run.

Use a friend or pocket kinetics to put Inertial Reduction and Speed Boost on you. You should be able to get the badges with that and a bit a practice. Not 32 seconds though. 🙂

I guess the thing I was most surprised was that Night Widow and Fortunata single target was very close. Just thought Slash would make more of a difference. -

Thought while watching them. Rad melee is a monster. I wish I liked the animations more. Fire is also a monster. I feel alt-ist coming on. 🙂 The balance of single vs AOE is very nice on Battle Axe. You 6 shot Trapdoor with Axe, where Energy Melee took 5 shots. As for the widows. I underestimated the damage potential of dominate. The AOE difference is, as expected, is huge with Forts and Night Widows. The single target parity was disappointing. I thought Night Widow would have a noticeable advantage due to slash. Lovely videos, much to learn. Savage/Fire/Axe looked like fun. Side note, when trapdoor runs. If you run in front of him, he'll stop for a bit before running another direction. It helps keep him on the platform. -
I am surprised @Saint Nick did come here to post that we beat 801.F on Thursday the 13th. I do think his tanking was a great part of it. Can't wait till your next tweak or 801.G @Linea

First this is not my work. @Kanil has put a lot of effort testing lots of builds. He should get the credit. There is this thread in the scrapper forum. The second best time was a Fortunta build. Better than a lot of scrapper builds. The build is there in the thread. Even more interesting, now that streaming is allowed again. Here is the complete playlist of @Kanil run. A was surprised by the lack of melee attacks on the Fort. It's basically, Follow up, Lunge, Dominate, Gloom, with AOE. Considering the folks complaining about ranged damage, this should be interesting to watch. Not surprisingly, the lack of a nuke really hurts the Night Widow times.

Now, that we can stream again. It would be great is from folks to record their runs. I must confess, my times suck compared to the good times. My Fort is no near as fast @Kanil I love to see the difference. Or any sub 6 mins build. -
I have been trying to decide on a build that uses dark armor. I thought I would try this one, because of the end reduction power in staff. I pieced this together by looking at separate staff and dark armor power. So, there's bound to be some weirdness. Softcapped melee/lethal with one Guardian Spin. Good resists exception energy/toxic as expected. High level staff folks, are you enjoying the set? What are the pluses and minuses?
