  1. If Super Jump: Double Jump expires normally, it also causing the two prestige jumps to reset.
  2. Follow up testing. Canceling either prestige jump, will cause Super Jump: Double Jump to reset. Even if Super Jump: Double Jump is never turned on
  3. I created a char for testing travel powers. I crammed as many powers as I could into him. Found one odd interaction between Super jump and the prestige jump powers Steam Jump and Jump Pack. Canceling behavior: 1. Turn on Super Jump 2. Turn on Prestige: Jump Pack 3. Turn on Super Jump: Double Jump 4. They stack nicely 5. Turn on Prestige: Steam jump 6. All three powers are canceled and you have to wait for recharge 7. I understand that they two prestige jumps are mutually exclusive, but they are canceling Super Jump: Double Jump. Even if you have not started Super Jump: Double Jump Zoning behavior: 1. After causing all three jump power to cancel as described above 2. Zone and Super Jump: Double Jump is recharged, but the two prestige power are not 3. I would expect all three to still be recharging
  4. If you were going to build a tanker to tank just one specific task force forever. What build would you use for each task force, incarnates TFs included? Example: Yin, max level 25. Electric/Radiation, Freakshow are weak to energy, electric armor gives you endurance drain resistance plus end drain.
  5. I updated to include the three mobs at can give you fits at 54. Archnos, PPD, and Soldiers of Rularuu.
  6. It has started working a few hours later.
  7. The new launcher is not showing this behavior. Tequila 1.0.0.20. Getting this error today, when it required me to update. Download error: hc-bin32/cityofheroes-pre.exe Size mismatch (9084928 vs 9085952) Checksum Mismatch (cd1520a36919e7b1fea4878fb31e1513 vs c6b95f60a4d7a92293f8c1ec0b6699c2)Download error: hc-bin64/cityofheroes-pre.exe Size mismatch (10761216 vs 10761728) Checksum Mismatch (65fe6712a7b988ff836183e44c5a6516 vs 0bfd9f607aa38e185911e68632a4e8ac) Revalidating did not fix anything. Beta URL: http://patch.savecoh.com/beta.xml
  8. There is a saying in software. Software is not released, it escapes. I have tortured this build enough for now. 🙂 Final version for now.
  9. @Tidge I took your advise and swapped haste and wolf spider which gives me better def and KD protection at a lower level. Thank you. If I am fighting continuously at 50. I will burn through my end slowly and in some end drain and it's a problem. That's with the current slotting. Two changes in this version, swapped Hasten with Wolf Spider Armor, swapped Toxic Dart for Mace Blast. Toxic Dart for mace blast is a definite improvement. Quicker cast time, more damage, benefits more from venom grenade. I have tried builds with the Leviathan pool, but the cones are sub-standard IMO. Narrow arcs, long cast times. The combo of VG->PR->TD does serious meltage. Note, Poisonous Ray's range is annoying short, 40. But the good ranged sets don't have any ranged extension. I soloed Yin's TF at 0x8. The three deaths in the final battle could have been avoided if I played smarter. Use chokepoints better. Impatient mood today.
  10. Only mace blast underutilized, it's there for lower levels. Attack chain outside in: BU->VG->FG->CC->SH->PUL->BASH->PR a runner or SUR the boss, then PR Inside in: SUR->BU->SH->PUL->CC->BASH->PR if there is still a clump VG->FG I have quite a lot of versatility in attack chains. Depends on mob type and how grouped they are. Here are my binds to help make sense how I manage: q - Build Up e - Surveillance t - Venom grenade g - Frag grenade 1 - Shatter 2 - Pulverize 3 - Bash 4 - Crowd Control 5 - Poisonous Ray 6 - Mace beam
  11. A question for you fine and knowledgeable folks. I am happy with this build except for one power, the level 41 power. Currently, I threw TT: Offensive in there. The accuracy debuff resistance is nice. Things I have tried and discarded: Call reinforcements - The pets are a net negative in my book. I won't bore you with my complaints Web Cocoon - Procs nicely, but just does not work in my attack rotation What would you suggest? I could swing one more slot to it, but mostly likely it will be a one slot power
  12. My widow wasn't even close to the damage taken badge. High defense. I had under 5 million damage taken at vet 200+. And I solo a lot.
  13. One set of badges that takes awhile in the 1000 and 2000 invention badges. The auction house UI is tedious, so grinding the badge is tedious. I feel it's best to do that one in chunks over time. For missions badges, make sure and read the wiki before attempting. Red side, Mr. G (Primal) has a lot of badges, but also many conditions. Like completing lower level arcs for particular contacts. Efficiency expert is another one that is confusing. To get Recluse's Right Hand, you have to complete all arcs from all patrons. That's 17 arcs for one badge. Grind out that in chunks.
  14. All done until the April Nemesis Event and May Luna badge:
  15. Another vote for Fortunatas. I get IMs like "Do you ever play another character?"
  16. Any proc that debuffs or damages will notify the mobs. Confusion is really only there for very tough content. What do I mean by tough, a cluster of 3-4 particularly nasty bosses in a group or close together. So, I prep them from stealth, before using AOC. I am seriously considering dropping confusion in my next iteration. I don't use it enough for the slots it takes. Though I will miss the quick confuse on a enemy pet. It's fun to watch a grav pet turn on it's master. Or a decoy phantom attack it's confused phantom master. As for Psionic Tornado, I wanted max debuff/damage. I have soured a bit on FF recharge. I just didn't see it firing enough. At higher levels I don't use it as much. A lower levels I want the damage. Nemu's build is of course very good. But I know how I play and I won't remember to use ROP. Also, I solo at lot of low level Oro missions, I want a full attack chain sub 20. I don't focus on super tweaking my builds anymore. So, there's probably several small bonuses I am missing, I will take a look and what you suggested. Forts are stupidly versatile, lots of builds work. I have defeated a dozen or more even level AV-Heros in single combat with this build. Only two AVs forced me to use Peeple's wedding ring, 30% resist toggle, Black Scorpion and Hopkins. They have a nasty quick 1-2 punch. To be clear, I liberally use insp when fighting AVs. I might change my tune on resists once I start trying to solo all the TFs. An 54 ITF when primarily in melee range will be tough. Also, I am discovering the joys of the teleportation pool. So, I will be putting some more builds out soon. A post my builds mostly as inspiration rather than templates.
  17. Here is the build I have been using for my serious badging. Pros: Down levels very well Good mix of melee and range Good AOE Good team defense 30% team damage bonus at 50 due to double assault Incarnate soft capped to all m/r/aoe Soft capped to everything else except psi Dominate plus hold proc in follow up give you a decent amount of hold time. Bosses get held more than 50% of the time in one application of dominate. Cons: Expensive, lots of purple sets End hungry at 50 in sustained combat. You need either ageless or cardiac End hole betwen 39-44. You can't run all your toggles Note: I prefer Coercive Persuasion in Aura of Confusion. I find Confuse a rhythm breaker and don't use it except soloing very hard content Aura will routinely confuse bosses because of the proc if the group is large enough. The larger the group the better the results Binds, optional of course, but folks might find them useful: q powexec_name Gloom e powexec_name Dominate t powexec_location target "Psionic Tornado" g powexec_name Confuse h powexec_name "Mind Link"
  18. Yes, by itself that chart is not enough. For more but still inclusive information. Add in hours played at 50, and widows is 25% less played than Arachnos Soldier. Soldiers have 43% of the play time of all stalkers, the next lowest AT. Of course, we don't know the break out of Night Widows vs Fortunata or Bane vs Crab vs Huntsman. I have tried to figured the widow and solider build breakout using this page: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/fotm-powers/ But my stat-fu is not good enough to make anything but general guesses. I have asked the devs to include a breakout in the next stat dump. There have been several threads about what the community thinks needs improving. So, I am not going to rehash them.
  19. A note about the damage dealt badges that I have not seen explicitly stated. Overkill damage does not count. I tried this out of spawns in Perez Park. At 50, I could clearly see that I was doing 3K+ damage with Vorpal judgement to every mob. But the badge counter would only add around 2000 damage total for the whole spawn. If you don't want to farm that Oro mission, then the next best is to do high level content. I would suggest Dark Astoria "radio" missions. You'll can be level 53 verses 54 mobs.
  20. Has anyone tried using combat teleport and fold space on an Ice dom? My thinking is that CT plus Stealth will get you into the middle of the group, so everyone is effected by Arctic Air. Fold space is there to keep them close for Drain Psyche. Anyone tried this combo?
  21. I vote for Synapse. The level range makes it a slog, huge maps with clockwork, clockwork, and more clockwork. And I did mention clockwork. Citadel is also boring, but at better level range. Even if you are punching Nazi faces, it's still a slog. A properly equipped team can greatly shorten any Shadow Shard TF. They definitely could use some help, but at least I enjoy the zones.
  22. Ah, that makes sense. My char has done all the Mercy arcs. I don't have issues seeing the fires.
  23. War mace has been mentioned. Bane Spider mace attacks have the same crunch feel. Unfortunately, like war mace I find the visual aspects weird. There is too much pausing in the animation, especially at the end.
  24. Yes, the key is that you enjoy playing the character. Night Widows/Fortunatas down level very well once you have slotted them out. I run most low level missions at 1x3+ with bosses and AVs turned on, otherwise it gets boring.
  25. Fortunata's Psychic Tornado. A lot of people skip it. Slow cast time, locks you in place, but it fills an ranged AOE hold at low levels.
