Staff/Bio?

I too would love to see a pro build for this.  I’ve built mine organically, so probably am not using bio armor to anywhere near its greatest potential.  That said, in mid-30s, I’m mostly soloing TFs, and the offensive output is impressive.  I’ve never had an easier time with soloing AVs.  Admittedly, they aren’t particularly difficult ones, but I’ve been impressed with the build so far.

I'm no expert by any means, but I rolled up a Staff/Bio last night and have a rough plan for where I want him to end up. Minimal slotting of the expensive stuff, but it still hits defcap for E/N/F/C, and is just a hair short of rescap on S/L. I'm sure there is plenty of room for improvement but maybe this could serve as a base? Or at least give someone smarter than me something concrete to pick apart 🙂

I dunno man, you skipped Parasitic Aura, which is fun!  and DNA siphon is a bit handicapped - all the Bio clickies are worth using. 

 

Here's the build I'm working on now - would be 4s of from perma hasten with T4 alpha (which is fine for me), capped E/N/F/C (hide adds about 3% suppressed), 23% S/L def + 75% S/L res, plus all the toys and doesn't need maneuvers/tactics:

I'm disappointed my improvised rotation of Guarded Spin with -res proc, Mercural Blow with - res Proc, Assassin's Staff for biggo damage fed by all the -res, Eye of the Storm with 3 combos for -res, ended up being 4minutes and 15 ish seconds to break a pylon. Removing Eye of the Storm for Serpent's Reach and wallowing in the -res and perma 15% damage of three combo points made it go down to 3minutes 20 seconds ish, and finally removing Guarded Spin for Serpent's Reach, Mercural Blow and Skysplitter ended being 2minutes 45.

 

I don't like Serpent's Reach and Skysplitter though. It's one thing to do Guarded Spin and whirl around hitting things and another to do an aerial ballet before hitting them. I might still force myself to use Serpent's Reach for the ST rotation though since three minutes ish is acceptable. Ish.

 

Edit: A second test with Guarded Spin, Mercurial Blow, AS, Serpent's Reach yielded 3:04 minutes. Obviously this depends on luck, procs both of hide and Build-Up recharge, but it's acceptable I suppose. In AoE situations replace Serpent Reach for Eye of the Storm.

 

Re-edit: A last try with the above rotation and ageless T4 yielded 2:45.

So, I made one of these out of curiosity.  I have been trying to find a good */bio combo.

 

I wasn't too impressed until 22 and IOs. Now, I am starting to see the high damage.

 

There is a Steel Canyon story arc I like to run from Graham Easton. The end fight is against four Tsoo lts in a row, then the boss.

 

At the same level, I one shot each of the lts from hide. The surprise was dropping the boss with BU->AS to 10% hp which is all you need to complete.

 

Certainly hits like a truck. We'll see how bio works out, the end stability is very nice.
