Spines/Electric Armor?

I was one of the runner-ups in the Costume Contest this last weekend (Back Alley Ribs); and for my costume power I chose Riptide and rolled up a new character to be similar to the Riptide in game and use the costume as my look.

 

Turns out on the Wiki the powers point towards Spines/Electric Armor (and elec epic pool down the line). It is done, character made, my costume assigned; but since my exp with Scrappers is limited I should have checked beforehand on the powerset combo's viability... because I don't see ANY Scrapper Spines/Electric Armor builds.

 

Anyone have a build that works well they can share here? Thanks!

You can use a spines/Elec scrapper to farm SL if you build up the defense via IOs, it gets pretty decent resistances overall. AoE centric, it would be a decent combo.

[Microcosm]

Used a spine/elec stalker on test for a while, works really well. As a scrapper your single target will probably be painful, but you'll get two damage auras so there's that. With elec I recommend getting to s/l softcap and then proccing out the attacks with what you would have spent on end redux, as you don't need to slot for it at all with Energize + Power Sink.

This sounds like a potentially fun combo. I don't have a build to share, but I may try to roll one this weekend. If I do and come up with a rough draft, I'll share it.

Yep I used this combo to farm warriors on live when I was bored of my fire/kin.  Fun combo.
