Redlynne
I've spent most of today writing up bindloadfiles and have spent the last hour or so testing and making sure things work before creating more than my first character. Because bind files REALLY need to be tested if you're going to use/rely on them! And in my experience, Tri-form Kheldians are "nigh unplayable" (to a high standard) without bindload files to update the controls every time you switch forms. Might be an odd Q, but how do you have the corresponding power trays? I know you said binds were pending, but the tray layout can be key with these I remember. I do something that will probably come across as being somewhat whacktastic. For one thing, I like to be able to see ALL of my powers in my trays at ALL times. That way, if I've got something on a long recharge or whatever, I can see directly when it has (finally) recharged and is ready for use. I put 6 trays on my screen in the bottom right corner. Tray 1 contains Form powers for Kheldians and the occasional "oddball" powers that need to be seen/observed for verification purposes, such as the Swap Ammo "extra" powers in Dual Pistols. I put the 4 Nova attacks in the 1-4 slots of tray 1, and then put the 6 Dwarf powers into the 5-10 slots of tray 1 ... and simply use my bindloadfiles to "reprogram" the keybinds on my keyboard for the requisite change of address for my keyboard to tray when switching forms. Since I do my entire keybind setup as mostly (mostly) an arrangement of activating tray slots (so I can move stuff around in my trays and not need to write entirely new keybind files) this gives me the greatest flexibility IN the game at the expense of extra complexity in the writing of the bindloadfiles. But then, once the bindloadfiles are written, tested and proofed out, it makes life SO MUCH EASIER thereafter, so I consider it time well spent to avoid way more frustration later. I then use the 2 tray as my "main" tray of attack powers for all my alts, as well as the Human Form attack powers on my Kheldians. The 3 tray then becomes my "main" tray of secondary/support powers (usually full of toggles). After that, the 4 and 5 trays are for "filler" and/or Temp powers that I'd like to keep track of. The 6 tray holds the powers that get commonly used on EVERY character I play ... things like the Ouroboros Portal and Sprint+Ninja Run and the Rest power and so on. Some utility powers wind up here too, like the Map Clear power and the like. Don't worry, I'm getting around to posting my bind files at some point here. But I need to get all of my alts created (and their names claimed) before the Memorial Badge expires, and some of the costumes I'm doing can ... take a little while to finish since I'm so "rusty" at using the costume editor. Redlynne
Very minor tweak to the Solar Flare version of the build, which may wind up making a pretty decent difference in how the Human Form plays. Using the 2.21 version of Pine I deleted the Achilles' Heel proc from Glinting Eye in order to add a Sudden Acceleration Knockback to Knockdown IO to Solar Flare, in order to prevent unwanted scattering of $Targets. I'm now thinking that with this one change, the Solar Flare version winds up being superior for more generalized (team) use, simply because against 2 (or more) $Targets use of Solar Flare will deliver greater damage throughput than Radiant Strike would. Also, I finally found the time to post the current state of my Peacebringer bindloadfiles earlier in this thread, in case anyone would like to use/adapt them for your own playstyle and keyboard ergonomics. Gromm
Greetings, For your latest post build are you using a different planner than Pines? or maybe a more updated version as it's giving errors. I imported all the other builds fine except this latest one. Cheers @dugbo from Guardian
Redlynne
Yes, I used a version of Pines that was updated to include the Sudden Acceleration set. It was posted here (elsewhere) in the forums. Redlynne
Well ... this is annoying. >.< Took my Peacebringer up to Level 6, got Bright Nova and went to go test out my bind files (because you ALWAYS need to test these things!!) and ... they didn't work. AT ALL ... After an increasingly angry hour of regressive testing to figure out Whiskey Tango Foxtrot was wrong, I eventually came to an extremely unpleasant conclusion. On the Mac client, via Island Rum ... for whatever reason ... I can't use $$ for extra commands on any keybind that involves use of bindloadfile ... meaning that I can't switch forms AND switch bindloadfile setups with a single keyclick/bind which basically knocks the wind out of using different bindloadfiles for each Form. So once again, I was reduced/forced to rework my bindloadfile(s) to accommodate Wine's insistence on being very very stupid about emulating Windows under OS:X. The result was the following keybind file. PB.txt t "powexectoggleoff Bright Nova$$powexectoggleoff White Dwarf" y "powexectoggleoff White Dwarf$$powexectoggleon Bright Nova" g "powexectoggleoff Bright Nova$$powexectoggleon White Dwarf" tilde "targetenemynear$$targetcustomnext alive Quantum$$targetcustomnext alive Void$$targetcustomnext alive Cyst$$targetcustomnext alive Sapper" 1 "powexectray 2 2$$powexectray 1 2" 2 "powexectray 2 2$$powexectray 1 1$$powexectray 5 1" 3 "powexectray 3 2$$powexectray 2 1$$powexectray 6 1" 4 "powexectray 4 2$$powexectray 3 1$$powexectray 7 1" 5 "powexectray 5 2$$powexectray 4 1$$powexectray 8 1" 6 "powexectray 6 2$$powexectray 9 1" 7 "powexectray 7 2" 8 "powexectray 8 2" 9 "powexectray 9 2" 0 "powexectray 10 2" right "powexecname Energy Flight$$powexectoggleoff Quantum Acceleration$$powexectoggleoff Jump Pack" shift+right "powexecname Quantum Acceleration" down "powexecname Combat Flight$$powexectoggleoff Energy Flight$$powexectoggleoff Quantum Acceleration$$powexectoggleoff Jump Pack" shift+left "powexecname Quantum Flight$$powexectoggleoff Jump Pack" lshift+lbutton "powexecname White Dwarf Step" For reference, I have the "q" key bound for "Follow" (only) as part of my standard default keybind set that I use on ALL of my alts. This means that I can do a quick "tilde then q" while in Dwarf Form so as to emulate the Jackie Chan keybind manually (so to speak) without forcing my Human and Nova Forms to automatically Follow when using the tilde key to select the nearest/most dangerous to me $Target to attack. Blastit
What kind of thing is actually good to slot Nova form with while levelling? Is the tohit bonus good enough that putting an enhancement for it in there is worthwhile?
Orivon
What kind of thing is actually good to slot Nova form with while levelling? Is the tohit bonus good enough that putting an enhancement for it in there is worthwhile? You could slot it with tohit for sure or end mod if you didn't slot much end redux into the powers, heck even fly speed if you like being in nova form a lot. I slotted tohit when I leveled up because it helped me land those opening shots and then my powers reduced def and then I never really missed. Once I got into IO sets I only slot the Gaussian's Synchronized Fire Control Chance for Build Up proc.

Is the tohit bonus good enough that putting an enhancement for it in there is worthwhile? Considering the fact that you can slot a Level 21 Gaussian Build Up proc by Level 18 ... that means you only need to deal with slotting something else into Nova from Levels 6-17. Either +ToHit or Endurance Reduction ought to work fine before you're able to obtain and slot the Build Up proc. Verbogeny is one of many pleasurettes afforded a creatific thinkerizer. Xadoe
Hey! I was inspired by your build, and decided to come up with my own ideal end-game peacebringer tri-form build. Here are the targets I achieved: 1. I wanted to use minimal purples/superior sets. There's 3 purple/superior sets in this build - 1 ragnorak set in bright nova scatter, 1 superior kheldian's grace set, and 1 superior essence transfer (the other kheld unique set) split across two powers. 2. Perma-hasten, perma-light form, perma-inner light and perma-essence boost (I'm 1.5 seconds off perma-hasten. This can be fixed by taking the last slot from white dwarf strike, and making white dwarf flare a full set of Armagedden enhancements (I didn't do this, as it's another full purple set (120million influence)). 3. I wanted the musculature alpha incarnate (45% juicy damage :D ), rather than spiritual, to add some extra oomph in damage modes. Subsequently, I had to get perma-hasten without spiritual. I'm 1.5 seconds off of obtaining this. 4. I want to be able to tank, this means having capped resistances (85%) in light form to all but psionic (done!). Being in white dwarf as well moves these numbers up to 126-165% to all resistances except psionic. 5. I'm a support player at heart, so I juggled some of yours powers: I now have a 5 slotted Glowing Touch heal, Recall Friend, and Injection. 6. Most importantly, I took several of the defensive toggles. I have no intention of using them; however, they allow me to slot more psionic resistance, meaning that this build has a passive 84.8% (0.02% short of capped!) psionic resistance as well. This completely and utterly plugs the psionic hole PB's have. (Note: IF you do that Armagadden enhancement swap noted above, you will lose ~3% psionic resistance :'( ) Let me know what you think, and thank you for the inspiration <3 :)

ZekeStenzland
Just out of curiosity, why the +stealth proc in white dwarf step? You already have real stealth. And presumably you are tanking if you’re in dwarf form anyway, so the stealth doesn’t do you any good?
Redlynne
Just out of curiosity, why the +stealth proc in white dwarf step? You already have real stealth. And presumably you are tanking if you’re in dwarf form anyway, so the stealth doesn’t do you any good? Because unlike the Fly/Jump/Run Stealth IOs which "disengage" when the power they're in is toggled off, the Teleport Stealth IO will persist (for like 2 minutes is it?) after use of Teleport. This means you can Teleport (to activate the Stealth IO), recover back up to full and not need to keep an endurance draining toggle (like Sprint) running in order to keep the Stealth buff in effect (for a little while). As an additional logistical consideration, since I'm playing a Peacebringer and a Warshade I didn't want to go to the trouble of trying to figure out where the Stealth IO wound up getting slotted on each Kheldian. Standardization allowed the Player a greater degree of commonaltiy (read: laziness) when it comes to knowing which options do what. Dwarf Step then becomes the obvious option since it is the one Teleport power that both (Tri-form) Kheldians share in common, freeing up Sprint for other options. Additionally I've never felt like I needed to use Dwarf Teleport for zone travel, since I'd either use Human or Nova Forms for that purpose of being able to navigate around zones. This means that Dwarf Teleport is relegated to being a short range "combat" teleport for getting out of area denial patches, for which Range (and to a lesser extent, Endurance Reduction) are not as necessary ... meaning that the Stealth IO can fit into Dwarf Teleport to provide a "stealth on demand" performance at the cost of Form shifting into Dwarf and using the Teleport power, after which the Stealth effect persists for a couple of minutes and can therefore be "used" by ANY Form, not just Dwarf Form, including stacking with any Human Form Stealth powers and offering an additional safety margin to flying around in Nova Form (just in case). However, you're welcome to slot something (anything) else into Dwarf Teleport should the need strike your fancy. Verbogeny is one of many pleasurettes afforded a creatific thinkerizer. Generator
Hey there, I have a small point of curiosity. I'm on the verge of putting my PB character back into play. My characters tend to gather up set pieces verrrrrrry slowly. I start with Common IOs and fill in as opportunity permits. Any set pieces in this build that you consider to be "must-have"? Looking it over, the closest thing to that I see is probably the Steadfast -KB piece. Thanks again. Generator
diefree
Sorry if this has been asked or posted elsewhere. How do you get blind load files into game? I mean I see the text doc but where do you place it in game files?
Redlynne
In my case, I put the files "where they go" and then write the bindloadfile command to point at that specific file. Specifically, inside of my coh folder I created a binds folder and I put my PB.txt file into that. Then I go in-game and put this in the chatbox. /bindloadfile "C:/Program Files/coh/binds/PB.txt" Hit Enter and watch it load the binds from the file that I pointed the game at. In my case, because of how things parse on my game client (ie. wonky AF) I am required to provide an absolute pathname to the file in question, and cannot provide a relative file pathname (for reasons that completely escape me, but this works, so that's what I use, instead of what SHOULD work but DOESN'T, for whatever reason). Generator What level is your PB now? I'd probably slot the LotG 7.5% recharge IOs first since they provide a lot on their own. Plus, having more powers up faster is always a good thing. Using enhancement converters you can get these fairly easily and I don't believe they're too expensive on the AH. I started with uniques and procs (Miracle, Numina's, Panacea, Performance Shifter, Impervium Armor-Psi Res, etc... ) on my PB since most of the bonuses I needed to get would later come from sets with 5 pieces. Then I worked on cheaper sets for powers I used the most and then topped it off with purples later. Edited August 17, 2019 by Orivon

As advertised, I use a slightly unusual setup for my power trays. Human Form powers go into Trays 2-9. Nova Form powers go into Tray 1 slots 1-4. Dwarf Form powers go into Tray 1 slots 5-9 and I just drop Dwarf Step into Tray 1 slot 10. If you aren't following this tray layout (like I do) you'll need to edit your own bind file that will work with your user interface arrangement. Twisted Toon
I tend to use tray 1 for human, tray 8 for dwarf and tray 9 for nova. My form bound keys are S(quid), D(warf) and X(it out of Nova or Dwarf). I tried shift+ the form keys, but it was getting a little difficult to switch quickly during combat. I do use shift+lbutton for my Dwarf step. I think I'll set up a combat teleport bind so I can just TP to my target with a single key press. Probably use Shift+T "pow_exec_location target Dwarf Step" (or what ever TP power I end up using on what ever character that has a TP like power) Unlike a lot of people, apparently, I use the number pad for my movement (right hand) and my left hand for practically everything else.
