Okay. Need helping deciding!

Looking at Elec/Nin, Elec/Elec, Elec/EA, TW/Nin, TW/Elec, TW/EA, StJ/Elec or StJ/EA.  Been maining Energy/Regen Brute, but I just prefer Scrappers and I started going meh with the Energy/Regen build.

So, time for a change!  Again!  I can make any of these concepts work for a scrapper with time energy manipulating powers, that's easy enough, but looking trying to get some thoughts on these various builds, for any who have done them.  Unlimited IO build experience before Incarnate is good help too.  As I do care about the before Incarnate feel.  Though, with any of these, I'm most likely planning Musculature Radial or Core Alpha, and if I go Elec Melee, Preemptive Interface, for the additional energy drain effect.

honestly don't think it'll be worthwhile in L50+ content, as most stuff dies faster than can be drained... it's mostly about durability and kill speed by then.

any of the combos you listed can be good, but you might find Elec Melee a lil too similar in feel to Energy/. weapons in general, or special mechanic sets feel quite different to play.

I have a very fun (but very end intensive) TW/Elec scrapper. It runs in as an electrified tornado with a giant sword. Plays like a dredel of death, as I use a proc'd whirlwind as I play.

You have a build you can post?

True, I'd be more seeing how it works with some tough AV level enemies.  It'd also be enhanced by Musculature Radial, which adds 33% End Mod to the Electric Attacks.

Here is a TW/EA Scrapper build.  Might be a little bit expensive.

Unfortunately, while useful in other situations, it isn't here.  A +4 mob takes 48% worth of the drain (purple patch).  A level 54 AV takes 13% of the drain.  A level 20 AV takes 30% of the drain.

So, even level 20 AV takes 30% of the drain.  A +4 AV at level 20 takes 14.4% of the drain.  A +4 AV at level 54 takes 06.24% of the drain.

Fully slotted Power Sink with Musc. Radial does roughly 87% drain.  That becomes 26.1%, 12.5%, and 5.4% for each, respectively.

I played both /EA and /Elec  on scrappers back in the day different primaries but I thought /EA was the better game play than /electric secondary so anything /EA is what I would recommended

How high did you get those resists?  I got one build with S/L/F/C/E all maxed at 75%, but with no softcapped defense, I'm curious as to how it would play out.

My opinion

As far as Secondaries go for Melee characters, Brutes and Tanks can go either way with Resists or Defenses.  Scrappers, Stalkers, and Sentinels should pretty much stick with Defenses only.  Now, if you enjoy playing resists that is fine or if you have a concept build you are working on that is also fine.  Numbers wise though it doesn't really make sense for anything but Brutes and Tanks to play Resist sets.  Reason being is that only Brutes and Tanks can get Resists hard-capped at 90%.  Basically the way it works is that if you can soft-cap Defenses you'll basically be taking the same amount of damage as that of someone who is running at hard-capped Resists.  The crutch of the problem is when it comes to enemies that can knock those Defenses down and you get a Cascading Defense Failure.  Once that happens it's nice to have those Resists to soak up the damage you would otherwise be dodging.  So Resists should come secondary to Defenses on Scrappers, Stalkers, or Sentinels.  I always tend to stick with Shield Defense, Ninjitsu, Energy Aura, Super Reflexes, Ice Armor, and Willpower.  I have a little bit of a problem with Ninjitsu and Super Reflexes in that it has a Click Power for it's Mez protection instead of a Toggle.  I tend to take Hasten quite a bit and like to put it on Auto, so if I take either of those sets I have to place Hasten somewhere where I can remember to click on it every time it recharges.  Usually I go with Energy Aura because it's more of a set it and forget it Armor.  Only things I have to click on in regards to Energy Aura are the self-heal and self-endurance powers, which only need to be used occasionally.

Anyways, take that information as you will.  It's a personal play style.

Yes and no if you plan to do a lot of IO's you can soft cap smash/lethal and be just fine and have the resist and Invulnerability is layered and is just as much a power house as all the others you listed it s as much defense based as it is resistance base. Then if you do something like Katana and use DA I seen katana/da armor do everything at the high end as anything else you listed it is all about putting the right build together with the right IO's and capping smash/lethal defense first  it is the most common damage type in the game and the majority of the high end game. Yes you can solo AV's  without incarnates with the sets I justed listed and more including regen etc etc it is about building the IO setup correctly

Appear to be having a hard time importing a build to the forums 😞  However, here's a DB/ELEC I was looking at.  Zapp is more for concept and having a range power to help with LGTF.
