Rad/Rad for build feedback

Generator

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

So in addition to the Beam/Invuln I posted a few hours ago, I blew a thick layer of dust off my Rad^2 this week as well.  She's 42 and so far, feels a little squishy.  She has next to none of the Sets listed here, so I'm sure she'll toughen up as I go, but again, I wanted some feedback on where I'm looking to take her.

If you've got something constructive to say, I'm all ears!

Thanks,

Generator

I don't play Sentinels a lot.
But I do know that the sense of squish isn't going to go away.

Rad/Rad Brutes sort of dance the line, with their lower HP totals and marginally lower Resists (unless you take extraordinary measures) means a bad run on the RNG basically craps in your Corn Flakes and you're frenching floor.

With a Resist cap of 75%, and even lower HP caps, you are almost better off taking the standard path and just trying to max your defenses.

If you want to be godlike, pick anything.

If you want to be GOD, pick a TANK!

Defense and resistance should feel pretty sturdy.

You could potentially swap slots between X-Ray and Neutron Bomb.  The Ward proc kinda sucks but it can check per target in an AoE gives it a tiny bit more utility.  You could use the other 5 slots in X-Ray for another Devastation to pick another chance at the hold proc plus better passive benefits than Positron's.  You're not really pushing heavy recharge to the point where that 6.25% makes or breaks anything.

The shift from 12% global damage to 15% global damage (via the second Devastation) should net you a slight dps improvement.  The loss of the recharge is so minor that your T9's cooldown doesn't move too much further from where it is (its not quite a full second of time).  It'll be just be ever so slightly longer within that 34 second window.

Set choices seem sound though.

I tried the build in the original post on my level 40 rad/rad sentinel and have been playing it for a few levels. I have to say my sent is tough as nails. She has been the last man standing in several group wipes. If she had taunt, she could tank. I haven't completely specced her recovery out, and I probably won't. She never runs out of end. Given that toughness and recovery are so good, I am trying to build up accuracy and damage a bit.

Nice build though.
