MunkiLord Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 Over the weekend I put together a potential build for my Elec/SD Scrapper and I'd like some feedback. I'm very aware getting my hands on all of these recipes will be an expensive and time-consuming process, I'm good with that. Currently, this build has perma-hasten and it's soft capped to all three positional defenses. What I think I need the most is better endurance management, I'm afraid I'll have some problems with that. But..........if at all possible I want to address the endurance while keeping perma-hasten and the defense being soft capped is a must. I'm not married to Blaze mastery at all and perfectly willing to pick something else, though Melt Armor does look like it might be helpful. And advice is welcome and appreciated. FUBARczar Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 Well not my take exactly, more my take on your take :)
MunkiLord Posted May 22, 2019 Author Posted May 22, 2019 Damn, your tweaks vastly improved my build, so I thank you very much. I have a friend looking at it too so I'm going to try and combine ideas you both had that I completely overlooked and will share an updated build in the next day or so. On a side note, I like the idea of Spring Attack, but it's just a very underwhelming power since I picked it up on my way 50 so I'm all for dropping it. I may drop Super Jump as well since I only picked it up to get to Spring Attack. We'll see though, I don't think there is anything else I really want/need instead. The Trevor Project
Murcielago Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 This build looks amazing, so much AoE dmg between LR and SC.
MunkiLord Posted May 24, 2019 Author Posted May 24, 2019 This build looks amazing, so much AoE dmg between LR and SC. I'm at 50 now with 33.5 defense all around and almost no set bonuses, and it already rocks simply by popping some purple inspirations, when it's finished it'll destroy shit. But I'm going to have to dramatically change this. I didn't realize how much faster it is to unlock Incarante abilities. I'm already at the second tier Alpha Slot and I haven't played all that much since I hit 50. If I simply add the top tier Agility Alpha ability to the build FUBARczar came up with(which I really, really like), I'm all of a sudden swimming in recovery, well above the soft cap, and have 18% more global recharge than I need to get perma-hasten. So that will open up some slots for me to chase other goals, though I recognize Incarnate content will need a higher defense number to reach the soft cap there. But still, this is going much faster than I anticipated. The Trevor Project

Yeah with Incarnent content I usually had 50% def to account for the higher difficulty but it was nice because I could go after more regen/recov/res while keeping perma hasten and soul drain.

StrikerFox Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 Here's my thinking on a final build for Impeccable Girl. Thoughts? I like your build a lot, it's probably better than anything I could come up with. I wanted to offer some fine-tuning advice. -Hasten is already perma with 2 slots. -For the Kismet +6% acc to be active, Combat Jump needs to be toggled on. Slotting it in Phalanx Fighting, Kismet would be active all the time. Useful if you're rezzed, and you LR/SC immediately to knock enemies off their feet before toggling. -Swapping the Ribosome HO (In Tough) for the Unbreakable Guard res/end would provide a 2.5% endurance discount (Set bonus) for all your powers. Enhancement Boosters can get the stats about the same as the HO. -A lot of players like to slot the rech/def HO in Active Defense. The def portion of the HO increases DDR, rech so you can overlap the casting to double the effects. -4 Gift of the Ancients in Weave increases max end by 1.8%. Changing a slot to Stamina for a 4th Performance Shifter would yield a better result (If you're slotting it for endurance).

I forgot to take that slot out of Hasten, I didn't save this build earlier in the week so I had to rethink my changes. So thank you for the heads up. I actually have Combat Jumping on all the time, it's a mandatory power for all of my characters. And yeah, I'll be slotting for recovery/endurance as well, so I'm going to throw these suggestion in there and see how it looks. I appreciate it. The Trevor Project

Since I no longer realy need the Gift of the Ancients I slotted five Lucks in Weave to get more HP and regen. Regen isn't a huge goal of mine, but it's starting to add up. I'm very ineterested in more HP, so I like that from Lucks. I'll also eventually be going for the Accolades to get more overall HP and Enurance. I don't actually care about Super Jump or One with the Shield, I just don't have any other powers I really want, and even if I did I'm not sure I could find slots for them. | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1604;737;1474;HEX;| |78DA65944B4F135114C76798A948DFA5D0F2EC4BA1B58596AA2B37260A189526242| |4EE0C0ED34B5B1D4AD3D644DDF915D4E8460151B72EFD10BE171AE3D6678CE1A186| |281A520FF33FA54D3A69F33BF3BFE7D573EF6DE6CAB8FDF1A9EBC725D979D2D02A9| |5D919BDAC954AA26CC968B9822ED1E339BD5012BAAECD192234B958BEBC50692735| |58779CCD084388E48421F46AB9A06B0684C6FAB89817C58A48CEE40BC2C8D65F3DA| |78B795116C56AB26E58A717178DE44C4988ACDD34A784562A14730EF365B290CB57| |E9CD555FCA8A72255F28754E940A7AF284A15D13B319AD5215E5AB3DD45E8ABE5B0| |E899F9A459A27A455A92DC7BC040EE49905307011B4EEC6CA1C6B954DCDEE020336| |306C07A30EA613B451ACCCB1F2BA626A0737C0E82618FFC1FC098EFE02ED14AB205| |655C2D0D4107300EC093083E06F8AB1E0772A96F536491A54A57DDF40DF1AF33BF8| |877CDB7926ED4B6D66FCFE65E60A68BDCF7C00DA574107C576A037A9E3184195A46| |DD26CC8A7DAEEAAA69FF31EE85E62AE80E96530420D3890477624306F679D94CF65| |0EAF26B9C2D0FE91E6E11A9E61F4D21965C6C0AE38984A802E8AF1720D6F37F6E5D| |059CCCB47F5BB79AD9BD7E23B92391F99D6FCA825F907515F21AD17FE4AAF5F36FD| |FA7CE0E83672A6B74037D5EDE719F5736E95E207794F07590B74714F6E662798F28| |23B9427C8FB14BC80B98534E61C5307C359A6003D141BE1D8C853F475E019F339F3| |059FCB97CC57E02AC50EF1591A7A833333FC96F98EF91E7C48BE319E55EC35E6FE8| |8B404D74E7C45CE910FCC8F7CD63F83A92F3CBB4FA09FE694E47C4985F797F28DB1| |36765831EB0EA87BF79A3EF4484175EFB6D6E22DAB632D4ABA4539D2A21C6D51A65| |A946995CB92229B4A879BEE2F94DA9A75EF7F4092477196361A9A2C9F21234A77F5| |1CB8DEEC1F83FF664353E41B7CD6EF807DB7C1919BE05F1F81A710EA6AD893FE867| |DCB4B36F737D1E4F324B2AB5B4C7BDA6AFE42D33EDF646B4DF65C93FD1FF9000C1E| |-------------------------------------------------------------------| The Trevor Project

They seem to be the coisten choice in all the EM/SD builds posted. I know some choices are personal preference, but I don't have much experience with incarnates and I'm just starting them on my own Elec/SD I took void for judgement because it's PBAoE and was a one-click activation. I only have T1, so should I consider going to Pyronic because it just is much better? also, how do you choose between the two top tiers of each ability?
Papaschtroumpf Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 According to the wiki, the Seers have the worse damage of all Lore pets so I just be missing something. I was thinking about going with Wareworks because they work thematically with my character.
Papaschtroumpf Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 Why only ageless partial core and not total core? It's perma with total and I don't see any downsides
Papaschtroumpf Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 Regarding your last 3 slots: If you need more +rchg (no sure you do, haven't loaded your build in Pine's for the numbers) the stealth pool will slot LoTGs. If you team up, recall friend is useful although you'd probably want it earlier.

I was thinking about going with Wareworks because they work thematically with my character. I have someone over, so I can't get to all the questions until tonight or maybe tomorrow. But I chose Seers because they provide Fortitude. But after using them for a while I've come to the conclusion that as great as Fortitude is, more damage would benefit me more. Eventually I plan on getting other Lore pets. The Trevor Project

I only have T1, so should I consider going to Pyronic because it just is much better? also, how do you choose between the two top tiers of each ability? Agility Core gives more defense, recharge, and end mod, all three things that are extremely helpful. It's a quick and easy way to get close to soft cap and perma hasten. Pyronic is more damage on top of more damage. I eventually plan on getting Ion for the higher target cap Degenerative means hard targets have less total HP, which I find helpful since bosses, EBs, and AVs are kinda slow with this build. But nothing wrong with getting the one with -regen or -res if you think it will help you more. Ageless is for more recharge and endurance. I don't feel I need more defense so it seemed like the best choice. Seers I took for Fortitude. I'm going to go with something else, don't need Fortitude 99.99% of the time. Melee Total Core I did for the regen and resist, but I'll eventually get Assault too for more damage and perhaps go back and forth between the two. I like more damage. When choosing between the top two I just go with the one that has higher boosts for the stats I want, or I just guess to be honest. Why only ageless partial core and not total core? It's perma with total and I don't see any downsides I just forgot to update it. The Trevor Project
Papaschtroumpf Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 I need Antimatter for my PJ accolade do today I decided to solo that arc through the flashback system. My build is similar to yours although I have no purples or winter IOs, just sets and ATOs. Soloing at x8+0 I clear most of the jobs with the alpha and most Lts with the subsequent AoE but bosses require multiple application of ST powers, so yeah, more damage is good. I haven't finished the arc but you get to fight Antimatter to half health before he flees early in the arc and I had no issues soloing him without requiring temp powers, so I think I can solo a +0 AV, well see in the final mission. Glad that I don't die once in the arc, including the carnie mission where I would try to herd multiple groups before unleasing AoEs Definitely a fun build and I may look at spending extra info to min/max it with purples and winter IOs
Chongda Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 My build. Usual stuff of softcapped Def and high S/L resist. Lightning clap with KB->KD is great for extra mitigation and a bit of extra recharge. I actually like just having Havoc Punch, Chain, and Jacobs Ladder. I can usually get a good lineup to hit 3 with it. Pines says it's only a 2 second activation, but feels longer. But I hate how long Thunder Strike takes. Maybe one of these days I'll switch Jacobs for Thunderstrike... I can't remember if Thunderstrike for scrappers knockback or not. Papaschtroumpf Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Thunderstrike is knockdown, it's slow but it hits hard and multiple targets when they're packed. I think I'd rather lose Jacobs Ladder instead (also slowish) but I'd rather have both.
Papaschtroumpf Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 Still not sure why Ageless is the "best" choice for Destiny. Is it because of the debuff resistance? (to -Def I presume) I already have a ton of recharge on my build, although more is never a bad thing, and my endurance rarely moves, unless I forget to toggle off superjump and then I might notice after a long fight, so I was thinking Barrier might be a good choice since it provides additional resistance when Something gets through, but I see the resist really reduces over time. Or maybe Rebirth for a self heal since my build doesn't have one.
