What Shield are you using for your SM/SD?

I'm trying to find some options that don't look silly with the animations for Savage Melee. I like the Dark Shield but it's a bit much, not customizable color-wise and you leave this smoke trail everywhere--sort of makes all your hard flailing look like you are Pigpen fighting the school bully (and winning).

 

I don't care for the tribal shields either unfortunately. Other things you have found that look good?

I recall hearing that the vanguard shield isn't visible during savage melee animations. Don't know how true that is though.

Energy shield. Color customization looks great, and you can make it very bright or pretty dim ...

You can use any of the elemental ones and adjust the color to make it the next thing to invisible.

Don't have a shield stalker, but my Sh/Sav tank uses a pointy one,   The spikes really add to the whole ripping and tearing aesthetic. I combined with dark red slime aura on his hands (in combat) for extra gore 🙂

I went with the Elemental>Energy shield in black. Makes a dim halo of a shield that looks techy and is almost invisible while hidden.
