Can you please check my characters Bonuses, they don't seem to add up, It only shows base Damage 33% but when you add up the set bonus it should be 42%. When I click onto Assault Core it doesn't give a damage boost while toggled. This is just my damage bonus, can you please check the rest of my bonus sets.

Set Bonus for each power

Spine Burst - Obliteration  3%

Quills - Obliteration 3% and Overwhelming Force 3%

Ripper - Superior Unrelenting Fury 4%

Throw Spines - Superior Brutes Fury 4%

Blazing Aura - Obliteration 3% and Overwhelming Force 3%

Consume - Obliteration 3%

Weaken Resolve - Analyze Weakness 3%

Melt Armor - Analyze Weakness 3%

Assault Boost Very Rare 10%

Thanks,

You have too many bonuses of the same type.

https://archive.paragonwiki.com/wiki/Enhancement_Set_Bonuses#:~:text=pre-ED slotting.-,The Law of Fives, exact same attribute and amount.

You can only have 5 of the same value bonus.  Any more gets ignored.  So of your eight 3% bonuses, three of them don't count.  So there's your 9% discrepancy.

If you read the page, there is a quote from Castle explaining that the Law of Fives applies to named bonuses, not their magnitude. So if you could find some way to slot them, you could get ten 7.5% bonuses to recharge -- five as "Luck of the Gambler Recharge Bonus" from the LotG global, and five "Huge Recharge Bonus" from IO sets. Unfortunately, the paragonwiki pages don't list the names of the set bonuses -- a 3% bonus in one set might be "large X bonus", while in another it could be "Huge X bonus".

"Castle further elaborated on the rule of five in I13 Closed Beta saying that the exclusion of more than five of the same bonuses is based on the name of the bonus and not its value. For example, a character can benefit from up to five global benefits of Luck of the Gambler: Defense/Increased Recharge Speed, which gives a global +7.5% bonus to Recharge Rate, as well as up to five set bonuses of +7.5% Recharge. That's because the first bonus is named "Luck of the Gambler: Recharge Speed" while the second is "Huge Recharge Bonus". One can find the names of the bonuses listed in the Combat Attributes window. All 3% bonuses granted by sets are "Huge Damage Bonus".  LotG is pretty much the only case that is slightly confusing.

There's no need to try and over complicate this.  My explanation was correct and you're just confusing the matter.

I would encourage the use of the unofficial Homecoming wiki for this info. The ParagonWiki pages for enhancement sets and enhancement set bonuses do not accurately reflect the information as it exists on Homecoming.

I also added a set bonus comparision table page that makes it relatively easy to compare sets when optimizing for set bonuses.
