I have never seen the TV show "Dark Angel", but was shown a clip with a gang with some pretty crazy cyber implants, not as outrageous as the Freaks, but enough to give me pause. Then I learn the show has an organization called "Manticore" and considering the show predates COH's release, well, my conspiracy theory went into overdrive. So is "Dark Angel" the inspiration for both Freaks and for Manticore's name? If so, did the show influence any other game elements?

Manticore is just a mythical creature, popular cool sounding name and the character is just a rip off of Batman.
