Since there's no Off-Topic thread, and I REALLY want to talk about this, I'm going to give it a chance here... if it's a problem, mods can feel free to remove the thread, but...

Has anyone seen this thing yet? It's FANTASTIC.

Basically, it's a "What if...?" scenario... and the What if is.... "What if Lex Luthor was RIGHT"?

Spoiler Alert in case you're not interested in seeing it, the answer to the question is (highlight to view easily):

We're all f***ing BONED.

Also, Dr. Seuss was right, children are F***ING SCARY, and we should be glad as heck that they're smaller and weaker than us.

By the way, in case you're wondering how I did the "spoiler", this is how:

I plan on seeing it soon. Hopefully this weekend. I mean, Evil Superman Kid? Yeah, I'm sold. Makes me think of how Ultraman could have been in his universe.
Marvel's 2003 series Supreme Power has shades of that.

That was such a good run.

I'll wait for Blu-Ray. As someone else said, the early 2000s Supreme Power had shades of it, then there was Irredeemable by Mark Waid (BOOM Studios), and others over the 40 years I've been reading comics, that the idea of an "evil superman type," isn't fresh enough to me that I'll go to the theater for it.

I seen this preview in theaters back when it was still fresh. The first word out of my mouth was, "That is not a "what if Superman was evil, that is Ultraman's origin story."

That could easily be Ultraman's Multiverse origin story.

...are we thinking of the same Ultraman? The space cop that uses a magic flashlight to turn into an alien robot? Or is there another one that I need to learn about?

I'm out.

Ah, thank you, I'd never heard of him. Japanese Ultraman was the only one I'd ever known about.

This link may be more direct. But yes, Ultraman is what Superman *is* on Earth 3. On Earth 3, Superman grew up much differently than he did on Earth 1. Ultraman wants Superman dead, and they have fought quite a few times.

Yeah, the Ultraman version of Superman runs (or ran, I stopped reading DC Comics about a year into the garbage known as New 52) the Crime Syndicate.

They even covered him in the DCaU animated movie "Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths," that came out on DvD in 2010. DC Universe Online also did an Episode DLC about Earth-3 in late 2017.

The whole concept of Praetoria and the evil Cole/Statesman, et cetera, is basically a nod back to that DCU Earth.
