AE Access in Base

I know it's a long shot, but I think it would be really cool if we could have access to AE in our base. My SG has a room that's a sort of Danger Room. It would be awesome if we could click that door and enter an AE simulation. Just my 2 cents.

Simply put, the code doesn't allow for it.

I was thinking partly of this very thing when I posted this:

I knew the code wouldn't let you have this in a base, but I had pondered that an SG, especially a themed RP SG, might use the base computer in their "War Room"/"Operations Center" whatever, and then head out to do the missions.

Of course if you don't have a base, then the thought was that the endless Information Booths etc could do the same.

SG are considered an instanced map.  AE are instanced maps.  you exit an AE it will kick you to a map not the SG.  All teleports go to the world map from instance maps, including a mission door which is a "teleport" click.  You would be going from SG to AE, which is mission to mission, as both SG and AE are instance maps that players can mess around with; SG you can change the environment and AE you can change the NPC characters.

Better option would be to allow missions to be generated in AE and use a world map door, you can assign a zone which then picks a random door.  Maybe you just set the faction or create the NPC, then set the options for map type to be generated (you don't pick the map floor plan, its generated like any other map).  Access through a contact like a detective or the contact list.  Don't think its possible to assign a door type, paper missions go through a swanky and well to do office right into the cesspit of the sewer.

There are others -- the mine entrance on Primeva in Nerva with a bank behind it, and one Council mission where you enter a warehouse and find yourself in a Council base -- which has the on-entry pop-up info window telling you that you found a concealed base entrance in the warehouse.

See above suggestion!

Bases are instanced missions. This prevents it. Besides, this is an MMo, don't you want to explore the world?

I want to explore my awesome base and be a hermit.

Alternatively, if a 'zone' was created that was just the central region of the AE facility in, say, Pocket D (i.e.,the 'door' pillar and surrounding contact holograms with a base portal in one corner), then you could have an AE mission terminal in your base, with a door that would take you to the 'AE zone' to actually run the story line, that would address the problem. The base 'AE zone' would, perforce, be shared by everyone using it, but it would make a static zone to launch the AE missions from.

Again, I'm gonna reference the above link, with emphasis on the section of part of the AE console being added to the base computer.
