Caemgen
This just came today... About 5 inches tall.. . This was made by @Joyitude by hand over the course of... weeks? Months? She should have created a mold so as to easily make more! Edited March 6, 2021 by Caemgen Edit to align and add artists name.
Christopher Robin
Hahahaha no way! Dude that is so freaking cool! Where did you get it? Is there a CoH artist that works in metal and I don't know about them? Edited March 6, 2021 by Christopher Robin 3 1 Like the Costume Creator? Enjoy a challenge? Love to WIN? Caemgen
They don't normally work on items such as this, or CoH items at all. I don't want to out them if they don't want to be outed but this was a complete shock when it showed up today but is totally amazing!
Christopher Robin
No worries, I get that but do ask them if they mind people knowing or if they would take on more work of this kind. I can't imagine I'm the only one who will see this and immediately want one or something else ingame like it (Clockwork King? Mekman pet? Jaeger? Nemesis Pony?), the possibilities are many. Caemgen
She gave permission... It was made by @Joyitude She could *maybe* be convinced to try her hand at another but this one took a LONG time (thus why I just got xmas gift now) and likely wouldn't be worth it for her to make them cheaply. Though a Jaeger would be very cool too!! Edited March 6, 2021 by Caemgen
Christopher Robin
@joyitude I love what you created here. @Caemgen Tanks and Scrappers for sharing it buddy! 3 1 Like the Costume Creator? Baditude
Thank you Christopher Robin. I had tons of fun making it for @Caemgen. It DID take a long time but I enjoyed every piece, I love working with metal and solving each little problem--this kind of construction is a series of soldering problems, essentially. 😄 I saw the drawing you did for him and I love your art too. Being creative is the BEST fun. And, yes, I am willing to discuss taking on more work of this kind. 3
Christopher Robin
@Baditude you're quite welcome. Thanks! I'm curious which "drawing you did for him" you mean? I've probably done a dozen or more (some are variations though) for him over the years. Do you mean the one that used to be his avatar here and (still is) on DA? Baditude
Yes, CR, that one. I used it to get a screenprinted shirt made for him last Christmas. It came out well and I hope you don't mind me using it 😄

Now my only question is: Is this your damage resistance prestige companion or your defense one? 😉
Baditude
Thank you Techwright. I should have thought of using a pet to get my reference pics! What @Caemgen and I did to get pics was Synapse, grabbing snips and screenshots on the move. Lol. I had to let them zap me while I took pics. I died for art!
TemporalVileTerror
The best part is that miniature model you've created, @Baditude, is pretty much exactly the same way the Clockwork King would do it: Each of his creations is unique and pieced together from general scrap or "salvaged" (read: Stolen) metal. You absolutely captured the very essence of that Oscillator. Kudos!

Some softbrushed Some I even digitally colored... & some were just for fun. And no worries. I don't mind and that came out great. I'm happy with people using my stuff for their avatar or printing it for personal use stuff like mugs, tee's or to hang on their wall. The two things I tell them are 1. not to claim the art as their work and 2. not to mass produce or try to sell it for profit without talking to me about it first. 15 hours ago, Baditude said: Thank you Techwright. You could also use the temporary clock power, run Penelope's arc or go to her father's market in Faultline (the base portal to that zone lands you right on the roof of it) as there are several just standing around guarding "little penny" out front. But, having said that, great minds must think alike or something because I had a similar thing happen to me. Back before you could customize your powers I wanted Xllusya to have an amazing screen shot for her bio and though it came out great I got zapped for nearly an hour to get this shot. See how the purple lightning is coming from below? That's because she is hopping up & down in a swarm of angry clock minions. Edited March 7, 2021 by Christopher Robin 4 Like the Costume Creator? Icanav
That's an awesome late present! Now I wonder if there is some way you could slip some green LED's in his head.

Baditude
Thank you, thank you, Seen2BeGreen. Icanav, I thought how wonderful lighted eyes would be. It would require leaving a fairly large hole in his head to put a tiny light and battery in after all the soldering is done--since the metal gets up to 1500 degrees during soldering, very melty melty for any electrical work. Keep thinking though, it's a good challenge. I also thought a bright green enamel would look good for his eyes....still thinking on that. Christopher Robin, you can't catch me! Neener neener. Joyitude Triumphant @Baditude Epoxy? Nail polish? What about fabric? Green silk or Satin? Foil? That shiny wrapping paper? I know that can easily be found in green. How about a hinge to flip the top of his head open? A simple top that pops off and is held on by shape rather than by solder? Just spit balling here. I know someone who I could ask who does this kind of stuff (the light up eyes) let me see if can conjure her here. She would know a lot more about the subject than I. You know with a few color tweaks you could actually enter that screenshot into the contest I am running and have a chance to declare a different kind of joyful triumph (and maybe win some art drawn of your character in the process). Link in my sig if you are interested in taking a look. No worries either way. 1 1 Like the Costume Creator? Enjoy a challenge? Love to WIN?
