IronDan
I'm stuck on the King's Road load screen, it won't come up. Just stuck with the bar in the middle, any suggestions?
Greycat
Exit out and back in. (You may need to ctrl-alt-del and exit through task manager if nothing else works.) If it sticks there again, and you're using the new Homecoming launcher, in the lower right corner of the Homecoming button (homecoming/prerelease/beta sections,) you'll see an elipsis. (...) Click that, select Verify. Let that run and potentially redownload some files. try again. 1 Kheldian Lore and Backstory Guide 2.0: HC edition Out to EAT : A look at Epic ATs - what is, could have been, and never was Want 20 merits? WanderingAries
That's also a good time to verify that your internet connection isn't experiencing issues as well, but if That lasts long enough, then the game will boot you to login. IronDan
I'm running windows updates, including optional, and driver updates I think this is user error we'll see. Hopefully that reminds someone else to check the same things if they're hitting a wall, these were all updated just a few weeks back and there's more stuff out there now. IronDan
well, everything's up to date and it's still not loading, it is giving me an error message when I try to log into the launcher but it will take me through the character screen, just won't load the map. You haven't installed any mods or anything that might mess with the files? 1 Unofficial Homecoming Wiki - Paragon Wiki updated for Homecoming! Your contributions are welcome! No, I'm trying a fresh uninstall/reinstall on the desktop. The issue seems to come up when I try to enter a mission or switch cities. I moved my character to a lower populated server as well. WanderingAries
If this is a desktop, and you're comfortable doing so, try rearranging the RAM sticks. So long as they're not designed to be in pairs (ant there's more than one), then you could even try pulling one and testing that just in case. Ground yourself by holding the metal casing of course before touching stuff. 1 OG Server: Pinnacle <||> Current Primary Server: Torchbearer || Also found on the others if desired <||> Generally Inactive Installing CoX: Windows || MacOS || MacOS for M1 <||> Migrating Data from an Older Installation Clubs: Mid's Hero Designer || PC Builders || HC Wiki || Jerk Hackers Old Forums <||> Titan Network <||> Heroica! WanderingAries
There "should" be a hardware diag you can run in the BIOS/UEFI if you can get into it. Most name brand laptops actually tell you how on their support pages. Just to rule that bit out. Lead Game Master GM Impervium Posted March 17, 2021 Lead Game Master Share Posted March 17, 2021 Hi @IronDan You've already been given several of the standard suggestions: Verify, restart PC, restart router, play with the internals... But so far, nothing seems to be working for you. So, that's where I come in. Here's what I'd like you to try: Hit the Windows/Start button, and in the little dialog box, type "Dxdiag" and hit enter. This will bring up a self-test utility. Run it, and assuming it doesn't give you any obvious errors or anything, find the dxdiag.txt file that it creates. PM me that text file, and I'll hand it over to our tech guys to take a look at. Do NOT post it publicly in this thread, as it may have personally identifying information. You have my complete assurance that any such data is confidential and secure with the HC staff. Please note that it might take a little while to get back to you on this, as the dev team is all-hands-on-deck getting the next big update ready. GM ImperviumHomecoming FAQ; Need a hand? I've Never had to modify any network settings for the game, but the AV software and Firewall do bark the first time I ever run it on a system. That's to be expected though.
