Aeroprism Posted August 16, 2021 Posted August 16, 2021 Hey guys. Currently playing Provost Marchand's line of quest on a blueside mid 30s. I'm travelling with three NPCs: Pendragon, Grant Creston and Aurora Pena. One of them repeatedly uses a power that starts a bit like Earth Control's earthquake but that shakes the whole motherfriggin screen for a solid 6-8 seconds like my monitor is having a baby with a smoothie blender. It. Is. Irritating. (Can't wait to see the baby)
SuperPlyx Posted August 16, 2021 Posted August 16, 2021 You can turn that shake off, Options > Controls > Mouse > Camera Shake Why it was put there in the options I have no earthly idea 1
ZorkNemesis Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 It's Pendragon using it by the way. One of his sword skills is basically an Earth Shatter attack. I think it's supposed to be his signature attack of sorts, but it certainly is overblown. Currently playing on Indomitable as @Zork Nemesis; was a Protector native on live.
SuperPlyx Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 I run into most when doing Dark Astoria and Sister Solaris arc. The Talons of Vengeance have a power (Thunderclap, I think) that does extreme camera shake.
ZemX Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 The one that the Talos do that annoys the shit out of me is... I don't know what it is. I call it.. "fill my entire camera view with a cascade of dirt" power. I don't think there's another power in the game that completely obscures the whole screen when it is fired at you. But that one does.
Marshal_General Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 I remember in Everquest the first time I had blind cast one me. The entire screen went black except for the ui. 2
TombTyrant Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 I just discovered this for the first time myself.
Aeroprism Posted August 18, 2021 Author Posted August 18, 2021 With camera shake disabled, it`s entirely tolerable, great suggestion. I'm kicking myself a little for not thinking about it myself.
Triumphant Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 I always have camera shake disable. Love that option.
