So after some time I have revised this build quite a bit, and thought I'd update my post here. (Last edit was on 2023-05-26)

What's the idea behind this build?

While I really like it, the Katana set lacks quite a bit of AoE making soloing radio missions not ideal. And since that's the content I mostly do, I thought I'd update her for it.

I've thrown out a bit of defense and there is no "oh shi~" healing skills anymore. But in return I now have decent AoE in the form of Exploding Shuriken. Exploding shuriken is completely rigged up for damage procs, and one knockdown proc for a bit of soft control. It's a mini-nuke on a very short cooldown. 

 

I usually do Build Up > Exploding Shuriken > The Lotus Drops > Flashing steel > Any other attack > The Lotus Drops for my AoE. This usually deletes most of the mobs. 

 

So what are the key abilities that I need to press here?

Not that many, as it should be on a scrapper. The attacks you'll use are Soaring Dragon,  Golden Dragon Fly, Flashing Steel, Gamblers Cut, The Lotus Drops and Exploding Shuriken. With Exploding Shuriken and The lotus Drops mainly for AoE. 

 

As for your power-up powers? Put your Hasten on Autocast and make sure to press Practiced Brawler on Cooldown. That's it.

 

Just a small side-note, but don't forget you also get Caltrops and Webgrenade. Caltrops is a great AoE crowd control that slows anyone down getting in it, and they also can't jump anymore. Webgrenade is great to bring down flyers or to just to hold someone in place.

Note: I'm running teleportation as my travel power, but feel free to pick any you like. Sticking with this build you have the option for Teleport, Super Speed and Super Jump.

Here's something mildly interesting. That chest detail will incorporate the supergroup emblem when entering SG mode. Though I think it needs to be paired with "shirts" for it to happen.

How are you getting held on sr?  Didn’t watch videos but feared should be the only thing to worry about.

On paper, you wouldn't. But Practiced Brawler does have a chunky 64 second recharge in this build. But most importantly: You still have to notice it, and when you're in a cluster of enemies its easy to miss it and just go splat in a matter of seconds.

I always have hasten on auto, wish we could do a few more. I did not realize the buff is a whopping 2 minutes long though.

Now whenever you move forward if Practiced Brawler is off cooldown, it'll cast and stay up between fights.

 

This works thanks to HC removing roots for buffs (the biggest QOL improvement this team has given us IMO). However, if you play with the sound on, you may want to consider a silencing mod for the still recharging "Wom" sound, as you're going to hear it a lot.
