Fire/Kin/Stone build for general pve. Critique me!

Hey all,

 

Looking for feedback on a build I cooked up. The main aims were softcapped smashing, lethal and ranged defense, along with proc bombs in key attacks. Uses the nerve alpha to fill in the accuracy and defense values but I tried to have enough acc slotting on my lower level powers so that playing lower level TFs won't be painful. Any thoughts are welcome! Thanks.

My mids wasn't working so I checked their discord and they have this version available to download under temp-releases.

Looks like a pretty good build!  You're gonna be great if you run it- lots of damage- though you will likely have to use transference a lot.  If you're looking for places to eek some improvements,  I would suggest not worrying about Range defense.  Fire/Kins are top shelf in melee range.  Between, flashfire, cinders, hot feet, fissure, and bonfire you can survive via control even with poor defense, but getting sm/l to cap will also go a long way.   I see you have them capped with incarnates. Hot feet is pbaoe and fissure is close range.  They beg for you to get into the fray.  I'd recommend a knockback to knockdown in fissure too.

 

If you decided to not worry about range you can get back several slots or switch sets, possibly to eek out a little more resistance, for example, swap out 6 lockdown in cinders for the +2 hold lockdown and 5 superior overpowering presence, and drop earth's embrace to 5 slots and improve the recharge on fulcrum shift for easier/longer double stacking.    I'd also recommend Assault Radial embodiment (Chance for double strike) for Hybrid. 

 

Overall, though I think I'm mostly just talking about preference.  Nice build!

cant get the build link working have 3.3.1 but it just says unable to recognize data

 

//edit nvm 3.3.1 is busted for me through multiple downloads etc. no idea what is wrong with it but something that aint wrong with 3.2.17

That looks good to me. Never realised Ice Minstrals is so good for Hotfeet, good damage and better End reduction than something like Oblits. Nice!

 

Only meh would be Bonfire. 1.25 Ranged Def isn't amazing for 5 slots and it's nice to have a Forced Feedback in there, But that's a tiny niggle really.

Yeah. I initially looked at Ice Minstrel for adding some slow and was pleasantly surprised by the rest of the enhancements. 🙂

 

I agree with your niggle. I just couldn't think of a set that would serve the goals of the build. Perhaps I could do 3 Artillery, FF rech and OF KB to KD and only lose 0.31 ranged defence while getting the benefits of the proc. Could probably then move around a few slots to make up the shortfall too. How would you slot bonfire?
