  1. Wow, can't say this is a change I was expecting to see in the game. It isn't unwelcome though! I have a few toons that will have some wiggle room in their builds now and that will be fun to tinker with when MIDS gets updated. It does feel bad to pick a power that I will never or rarely use so nice to do away with that. I also feel like this will greatly encourage me to play more "late blooming" sets as I often lose interest in a set if the key powers are way at the end. This removes a lot of the disparity I often have felt between more front loaded sets and those late bloomers. Some powersets feel pretty much complete by level 20 or so, while others are hitting epic levels before the build comes together. Very welcome change in my eyes.

    NA Secondaries

    I have a nature/dark. Solid pairing. Lots of proc opportunities for slotting in the attacks. Torrent and TT provide some decent control with your aoe and all the -to hit is always nice. Only "waste" is not really needing dark's heal.
  3. My /dev blaster (and only blaster I've ever leveled to 50) is radiation blast. I went with a pbaoe focused blapper strategy to use trip mine and irradiate together. Works pretty well. There is also stun stacking between taser and cosmic burst. Overall I found it to be surprisingly synergistic pairing that I think deserves more credit. Plus I don't ever get sick of the snipe feeling like sending a volley of photon torpedoes at my foes.
  4. Yeah, the ST chain was neglected in favor of other things in the build. I figured that shriek, screech and infrigidate would dish out debuffs with the quickest casting times. For more ST damage from this build one could drop the shield wall set in maneuvers (and lose a bit of E/N res), stick with two lotg in maneuvers, and put a few damage procs into infrigidate. I believe even with the agility alpha it will still have a decent proc rate. Could also considering grabbing another slot from somewhere to get 4 damage procs in infrigidate.
  5. This is the current version of the build I have been tinkering with for a toon I'm currently leveling. It focuses on survival and dishing out buffs and debuffs as efficiently as possible. Softcap M/R/AoE def, S&L res and as much energy/negative resist as I could fit in, nearly perma hasten, as well as every -res proc to maximize the -res stacking. I'm not sure how it will perform yet but I think it has promise.
  6. I loved playing my old FFoF toon on live. I would join a team, someone would recognize what kind of toon I'm playing and intentionally run into the middle of a group and die. Fallout is so satisfying.
  7. I am glad they did not nerf buff/debuff stacking. It helps incentivize people using support toons. Still regularly feel like I don't see enough support sets.
  8. Yeah. I initially looked at Ice Minstrel for adding some slow and was pleasantly surprised by the rest of the enhancements. 🙂 I agree with your niggle. I just couldn't think of a set that would serve the goals of the build. Perhaps I could do 3 Artillery, FF rech and OF KB to KD and only lose 0.31 ranged defence while getting the benefits of the proc. Could probably then move around a few slots to make up the shortfall too. How would you slot bonfire?

  12. Hey all, Looking for feedback on a build I cooked up. The main aims were softcapped smashing, lethal and ranged defense, along with proc bombs in key attacks. Uses the nerve alpha to fill in the accuracy and defense values but I tried to have enough acc slotting on my lower level powers so that playing lower level TFs won't be painful.   13. I always wanted to try out the fabled permadom. Ended up with a toon I really enjoyed playing. Dark/fire/ice. Feels like the baby of a controller and hover blaster.
  14. For corruptors I'd say fire or ice for primary and cold, kin or dark for secondary.
  15. To give you another thing to ponder... may I suggest plant control. It is a smooth levelling experience with seeds coming so early. Mine is a plant/storm controller but I imagine many other secondaries would work well. Or a dominator for faster killing out the gate.
  16. I have a plant/storm that can totally rip through enemies. I took the earth epic so I play him more like a blapper. I also have an Ill/storm and an Ill/TA that are in their 30s who have a ton of potential.
  17. I'll echo time. It's a support set that feels like an armour set. I love my time defender. Most played toon.
  18. I have become a little fixated on the storm powerset with my 3rd storm toon now approaching 50. I also have a few lower level storm toons kicking about. It got me to wondering, what does the community think the absolute best AT and powerset pairing for storm is? Defenders have the best debuff numbers and defenders/corruptors have good aoe damage along with some powersets that provide a heal and/or force feedback slotable powers. Controllers dish out status effects and have more pets to create greater safety and have even more pets on the field causing havoc. And masterminds make for all the pets but I wonder how their end usage compares to other ATs. Personally, my shortlist is: Ill/storm and Plant/storm controllers.   19. On my rad/devices blaster I just use it as another pbaoe attack most of the time. Except I will set up mine fields when solo, or on missions and trials that have ambushes or "defend this point" objectives.
  20. After looking at some examples on the forums I came up with a build for the tanker who really caught my interest. I usually play support and control roles so I am more adept at building for them. I would appreciate any input from the tanker experts on here. I aimed to make a general use build with solid resists. I figure the teleport pool could be swapped out for other taunt or utility and travel powers but fold space looks fun.   21. If you want to see what your stats are with anything that is suppressed during combat, like stealth, you can go into options -> configuration -> Effects and Maths. From there there is a section on suppression. I usually have attacked and hitbyfoe clicked and that seems to work.
  22. I did some tinkering and came up with this. Doesn't quite make it to perma hasten but it's pretty close. In exchange it is at the ranged def softcap while retaining proc damage potential in blind and ice arrow. I changed up fireball to be more effective as well. I also am not using the agility alpha as from my understanding that reduces proc chances. Musculature radial helps me max out damage, get a bit more endurance recovery and adds that bit extra -to hit. I think with ageless giving me that extra rech bump, I can have perma PA during incarnate content. Anyways, here's what I came up with. Now time to stop obsessing over mids for the day.   23. Here is my take on Ill/TA. Been fun levelling this toon so far. Neat synergy with the powerset combo. This build focused on two things, recharge and being a proc monster. Defences are much lighter than I usually build for but I'm figuring the control, debuffs and staying at range generally should be sufficient. But I hit perma hasten and am so near perma PA it's practically there. Went with the fire epic pool for thematic reasons. Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks!
